  • RhinoMocks AAA Syntax

    - by Bill Campbell
Hi, I've spent a good part of the day trying to figure out why a simple RhinoMocks test doesn't return the value I'm setting in the return. I'm sure that I'm just missing something really simple but I can't figure it out. Here's my test: [TestMethod] public void CopyvRAFiles_ShouldCallCopyvRAFiles_ShouldReturnTrue2() { FileInfo fi = new FileInfo(@"c:\Myprogram.txt"); FileInfo[] myFileInfo = new FileInfo[2]; myFileInfo[0] = fi; myFileInfo[1] = fi; var mockSystemIO = MockRepository.GenerateMock<ISystemIO>(); mockSystemIO.Stub(x => x.GetFilesForCopy("c:")).Return(myFileInfo); mockSystemIO.Expect(y => y.FileCopyDateCheck(@"c:\Myprogram.txt", @"c:\Myprogram.txt")).Return("Test"); CopyFiles copy = new CopyFiles(mockSystemIO); List<string> retValue = copy.CopyvRAFiles("c:", "c:", new AdminWindowViewModel(vRASharedData)); mockSystemIO.VerifyAllExpectations(); } I have an interface for my SystemIO class I'm passing in a mock for that to my CopyFiles class. I'm setting an expectation on my FileCopyDatCheck method and saying that it should Return("Test"). When I step through the code, it returns a null insteaed. Any ideas what I'm missing here? Here's my CopyFiles class Method: public List<string> CopyvRAFiles(string currentDirectoryPath, string destPath, AdminWindowViewModel adminWindowViewModel) { string fileCopied; List<string> filesCopied = new List<string>(); try { sysIO.CreateDirectoryIfNotExist(destPath); FileInfo[] files = sysIO.GetFilesForCopy(currentDirectoryPath); if (files != null) { foreach (FileInfo file in files) { fileCopied = sysIO.FileCopyDateCheck(file.FullName, destPath + file.Name); filesCopied.Add(fileCopied); } } //adminWindowViewModel.CheckFilesThatRequireSystemUpdate(filesCopied); return filesCopied; } catch (Exception ex) { ExceptionPolicy.HandleException(ex, "vRAClientPolicy"); Console.WriteLine("{0} Exception caught.", ex); ShowErrorMessageDialog(ex); return null; } } I would think that "fileCopied" would have the Return value set by the Expect. The GetFilesForCopy returns the two files in myFileInfo. Please Help. :) thanks in advance!

  • Injecting jms resource in servlet & best practice for MDB

    - by kislo_metal
using ejb 3.1, servlet 3.0 (glassfish server v3) Scenario: I have MDB that listen to jms messages and give processing to some other session bean (Stateless). Servelet injecting jms resource. Question 1: Why servlet can`t inject jms resources when they use static declaration ? @Resource(mappedName = "jms/Tarturus") private static ConnectionFactory connectionFactory; @Resource(mappedName = "jms/StyxMDB") private static Queue queue; private Connection connection; and @PostConstruct public void postConstruct() { try { connection = connectionFactory.createConnection(); } catch (JMSException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } @PreDestroy public void preDestroy() { try { connection.close(); } catch (JMSException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } The error that I get is : [#|2010-05-03T15:18:17.118+0300|WARNING|glassfish3.0|javax.enterprise.system.container.web.com.sun.enterprise.web|_ThreadID=35;_ThreadName=Thread-1;|StandardWrapperValve[WorkerServlet]: PWC1382: Allocate exception for servlet WorkerServlet com.sun.enterprise.container.common.spi.util.InjectionException: Error creating managed object for class ua.co.rufous.server.services.WorkerServiceImpl at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.createManagedObject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:312) at com.sun.enterprise.web.WebContainer.createServletInstance(WebContainer.java:709) at com.sun.enterprise.web.WebModule.createServletInstance(WebModule.java:1937) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.loadServlet(StandardWrapper.java:1252) Caused by: com.sun.enterprise.container.common.spi.util.InjectionException: Exception attempting to inject Unresolved Message-Destination-Ref ua.co.rufous.server.services.WorkerServiceImpl/[email protected]@null into class ua.co.rufous.server.services.WorkerServiceImpl at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl._inject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:614) at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.inject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:384) at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.injectInstance(InjectionManagerImpl.java:141) at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.injectInstance(InjectionManagerImpl.java:127) at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl.createManagedObject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:306) ... 27 more Caused by: com.sun.enterprise.container.common.spi.util.InjectionException: Illegal use of static field private static javax.jms.Queue ua.co.rufous.server.services.WorkerServiceImpl.queue on class that only supports instance-based injection at com.sun.enterprise.container.common.impl.util.InjectionManagerImpl._inject(InjectionManagerImpl.java:532) ... 31 more |#] my MDB : /** * asadmin commands * asadmin create-jms-resource --restype javax.jms.ConnectionFactory jms/Tarturus * asadmin create-jms-resource --restype javax.jms.Queue jms/StyxMDB * asadmin list-jms-resources */ @MessageDriven(mappedName = "jms/StyxMDB", activationConfig = { @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "connectionFactoryJndiName", propertyValue = "jms/Tarturus"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "acknowledgeMode", propertyValue = "Auto-acknowledge"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue") }) public class StyxMDB implements MessageListener { @EJB private ActivationProcessingLocal aProcessing; public StyxMDB() { } public void onMessage(Message message) { try { TextMessage msg = (TextMessage) message; String hash = msg.getText(); GluttonyLogger.getInstance().writeInfoLog("geted jms message hash = " + hash); } catch (JMSException e) { } } } everything work good without static declaration: @Resource(mappedName = "jms/Tarturus") private ConnectionFactory connectionFactory; @Resource(mappedName = "jms/StyxMDB") private Queue queue; private Connection connection; Question 2: what is the best practice for working with MDB : processing full request in onMessage() or calling another bean(Stateless bean in my case) in onMessage() method that would process it. Processing including few calls to soap services, so the full processing time could be for a 3 seconds. Thank you.

  • Problem with .NET Settings.Reload() and Settings.Save() Settings not loading

    - by galford13x
I have a strange issue that I can't figure out. I have a custom settings class that inherits ApplicationSettingsBase. It has a user scoped settings as shown below. /// <summary> /// The Last Active Account /// </summary> [UserScopedSettingAttribute()] public AccountKeyClass ActiveAccount { get { try { return (AccountKeyClass)this["ActiveAccount"]; } catch(Exception error){} return null; } set { this["ActiveAccount"] = value; if (!this.AccountList.Contains(value)) { //this.AccountList.Add(value); } } } /// <summary> /// Account List /// Key: UserID /// Value: AccountKeyClass /// </summary> [UserScopedSettingAttribute()] public List<AccountKeyClass> AccountList { get { try { if(this["AccountList"] != null) return (List<AccountKeyClass>)this["AccountList"]; } catch(Exception error){} return null; } set { this["AccountList"] = value; } } I have two forms, a Main form and a Settings form in which to change application settings. When I creating the SettingsForm and change AccountList Settings value, the user.config file changes as excepected. My Apply/Ok button for my SettingsForm calls Settings.Save() then Settings.Reload() then closes the form. The problem is that when .Reload() is called, the Settings.AccountList becomes null. Whats more is that the user.config file never changes, if i close the application and reopen, the user.config file is still correct, but the Settings.AccountList is never read in. The Settings.AccountList is read in if i never call the .Reload() however. Update: If I create a List and Save(); from my MainForm, then the AccountList will be read in from my user.config fine. However If I add to the AccountList using my secondary form (SettingsForm) and call Save() then the next time the application is run the settings are not read in and a null value is returned in it's place. This happens even if I do not use Reload(). I think the problem has something to do with using the Generic List<. The AccountKeyClass that is being saved is saved as Serialized XML.

  • Are spurious TCP connections on port 53 a problem?

    - by Darren Greaves
I run a server which amongst other things uses tinydns for DNS and axfrdns for handling transfer requests from our secondary DNS (another system). I understand that tinydns uses port 53 on UDP and axfrdns uses port 53 on TCP. I've configured axfrdns to only allow connections from my agreed secondary host. I run logcheck to monitor my logs and every day I see spurious connections on port 53 (TCP) from seemingly random hosts. They usually turn out to be from ADSL connections. My question is; are these innocent requests or a security risk? I am happy to block repeat offenders using iptables but don't want to block innocent users of one of the websites I host. Thanks, Darren.

I have a DLL (FreeType) which is certainly 32-bit (header: IMAGE_FILE_MACHINE_I386). I want to use it from C# code, using DllImport. Target of my application is x86, IntPtr.Size is 4, process is 32-bit. But I get BadImageFormatException (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B). What can be wrong? Of course I use 64-bit Windows 7.

  • Reliable test for MSDTC promoting transactions to distributed?

    - by Oded
How can I reliably check that MSDTC has promoted a transaction to a distributed transaction, from .net code? Currently a co-worker is testing this by shutting down the coordinator on his machine - if an exception is thrown this is taken as evidence that an attempt to promote the transaction has occurred. Is this a valid test?

  • What does %st mean in top?

    - by Ben
Here is an example from my top: Cpu(s): 6.0%us, 3.0%sy, 0.0%ni, 78.7%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.3%si, 12.0%st I am trying to figure out the significance of the %st field. I read that it means steal cpu and it represents time spent by the hypervisor, but I want to know what that actually means to me. Does it mean I may be on a busy physical server and someone else is using too much CPU on the server and they are taking from my VM? If I am using EBS could it be related to handling EBS I/O at the hypervisor level? Is it related to things running on my VM or is it completely unaffected by me?

  • Strange crashes when using MPMoviePlayerController in iPad and iPad simulator with iOS 4.2.

    - by Dave L
    I'm getting crashes when trying to play a movie using MPMoviePlayerController on the iPad and in the iPad simulator using iOS 4.2. I am building using xcode 3.2.5 and the 4.2 SDK. When running on an iPad using iOS 3.2 or in the iPad simulator 3.2, the same code works fine, but on an iPad running 4.2 or in the iPad simulator 4.2, it crashes. The crash is due to an exception for calling an unknown selector down somewhere deep in the cocoa libraries, something tries to call a selector called "setHitRectInsets:" on a UIButton object. Also, the crash happens after control has returned to the main event loop. Anybody have any idea what might be causing this? Here is the code (roughly, some extraneous stuff deleted that doesn't seem to have any effect) that is crashing: NSString *fullMovieFilename = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"movie" ofType:@"m4v"]; NSURL *movieURL = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:fullMovieFilename]; moviePlayer = [[MPMoviePlayerController alloc] initWithContentURL:movieURL]; moviePlayer.controlStyle = MPMovieControlStyleNone; // crash happens regardless of the setting here [moviePlayer.view setFrame:self.view.bounds]; [self.view addSubview:moviePlayer.view]; [moviePlayer setFullscreen:YES animated:YES]; // crash happens whether i use fullscreen or not [moviePlayer play]; The same code also works just find if I build using Xcode 3.2.3 and the 4.0 SDK. The crash stack trace looks like this: 2011-03-04 23:08:22.017 MyApp[31610:207] -[UIButton setHitRectInsets:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x990bc60 2011-03-04 23:08:22.020 MyApp[31610:207] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[UIButton setHitRectInsets:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x990bc60' *** Call stack at first throw: ( 0 CoreFoundation 0x0151abe9 __exceptionPreprocess + 185 1 libobjc.A.dylib 0x0166f5c2 objc_exception_throw + 47 2 CoreFoundation 0x0151c6fb -[NSObject(NSObject) doesNotRecognizeSelector:] + 187 3 CoreFoundation 0x0148c366 ___forwarding___ + 966 4 CoreFoundation 0x0148bf22 _CF_forwarding_prep_0 + 50 5 MediaPlayer 0x011b5bdb -[MPTransportControls createButtonForPart:] + 380 6 MediaPlayer 0x011b65d5 -[MPTransportControls _updateAdditions:removals:forPart:] + 110 7 MediaPlayer 0x011b4d78 -[MPTransportControls _reloadViewWithAnimation:] + 299 8 MediaPlayer 0x011b621a -[MPTransportControls setVisibleParts:] + 49 9 MediaPlayer 0x011b6e4a -[MPTransportControls initWithFrame:] + 173 10 MediaPlayer 0x011f9188 -[MPInlineTransportControls initWithFrame:] + 78 11 MediaPlayer 0x011f193a -[MPInlineVideoOverlay layoutSubviews] + 158 12 QuartzCore 0x00d6e451 -[CALayer layoutSublayers] + 181 13 QuartzCore 0x00d6e17c CALayerLayoutIfNeeded + 220 14 QuartzCore 0x00d6e088 -[CALayer layoutIfNeeded] + 111 15 MediaPlayer 0x011f130c -[MPInlineVideoOverlay setAllowsWirelessPlayback:] + 46 16 MediaPlayer 0x011f5b0d -[MPInlineVideoViewController _overlayView] + 526 17 MediaPlayer 0x011f6359 -[MPInlineVideoViewController _layoutForItemTypeAvailable] + 1350 18 Foundation 0x000e56c1 _nsnote_callback + 145 19 CoreFoundation 0x014f2f99 __CFXNotificationPost_old + 745 20 CoreFoundation 0x0147233a _CFXNotificationPostNotification + 186 21 Foundation 0x000db266 -[NSNotificationCenter postNotificationName:object:userInfo:] + 134 22 Foundation 0x000e75a9 -[NSNotificationCenter postNotificationName:object:] + 56 23 MediaPlayer 0x01184dd6 -[MPAVItem _updateForNaturalSizeChange] + 278 24 MediaPlayer 0x011818e4 __-[MPAVItem blockForDirectAVControllerNotificationReferencingItem:]_block_invoke_1 + 82 25 MediaPlayer 0x011899ba -[MPAVController _postMPAVControllerSizeDidChangeNotificationWithItem:] + 138 26 Foundation 0x000e56c1 _nsnote_callback + 145 27 CoreFoundation 0x014f2f99 __CFXNotificationPost_old + 745 28 CoreFoundation 0x0147233a _CFXNotificationPostNotification + 186 29 Foundation 0x000db266 -[NSNotificationCenter postNotificationName:object:userInfo:] + 134 30 Celestial 0x052a35b2 -[NSObject(NSObject_AVShared) postNotificationWithDescription:] + 176 31 Celestial 0x052ab214 -[AVController fpItemNotification:sender:] + 735 32 Celestial 0x052b5305 -[AVPlaybackItem fpItemNotificationInfo:] + 640 33 Celestial 0x052a3d5c -[AVObjectRegistry safeInvokeWithDescription:] + 211 34 Foundation 0x000fa9a6 __NSThreadPerformPerform + 251 35 CoreFoundation 0x014fc01f __CFRUNLOOP_IS_CALLING_OUT_TO_A_SOURCE0_PERFORM_FUNCTION__ + 15 36 CoreFoundation 0x0145a28b __CFRunLoopDoSources0 + 571 37 CoreFoundation 0x01459786 __CFRunLoopRun + 470 38 CoreFoundation 0x01459240 CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 208 39 CoreFoundation 0x01459161 CFRunLoopRunInMode + 97 40 GraphicsServices 0x01e4f268 GSEventRunModal + 217 41 GraphicsServices 0x01e4f32d GSEventRun + 115 42 UIKit 0x0038a42e UIApplicationMain + 1160 43 MyApp 0x0000837a main + 102 44 MpApp 0x00002009 start + 53 ) terminate called after throwing an instance of 'NSException' Been fighting with this for several days, and have searched the internet quite a bit for anybody having similar problems, all with no luck. • What's better way to build NSPredicate with to-many deep relationships?

    - by Victor
Hello, I have three entities: EntityA, EntityB and EntityC connected with to-many relationships. See schema for details: For getting all instance of EntityA which depend from EntityB.name I use the predicate like this: NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"ANY EntityB.name like 'SomeName'"]; What should be predicate for getting all instance of EntityA which depend from EntityC.name? I tried query like @"ANY EntityB.entitiesC.name like 'SomeName'" but get exception "multiple to-many keys not allowed here". Best regards, Victor

  • Can you authenticate into SSAS with AD LDS (ADAM) accounts?

    - by Jaxidian
I'm very new to AD LDS and experienced but not qualified with SSAS, so my apologies for my ignorances with these. We have a couple implementations where we expose SSAS via an HTTPS proxy (msmdpump.dll) and currently we have a temporary domain setup handling this (where our end-users have a second account+creds to manage because of this = non-ideal). I want to move us towards a more permanent solution which I'm thinking of moving all authentication to AD LDS for our web apps, SSAS, and others. However, SSAS is where I'm concerned about this. I know SSAS requires Windows Authentication and to play nicely, and that this ultimately means Active Directory will be involved. Is there a way to get this done with AD LDS instead of having to use a full AD DS implementation? If so, how? (Note: My question over at StackOverflow had a suggestion that I post this question here on ServerFault instead. My apologies if I'm not asking in the right forum.)

AdWords uses Axis as underlying WS library, which do not work on GAE and unfortunately I cannot find solution to make it working. I tried already this: http://dev.bizo.com/2009/04/calling-soap-web-services-on-google-app.html Does any of you know if there is a way to use AdWords API on GAE with Java? Thanks in advance for any help Konrad
