  • Is there a way to obtain the raw image from a Norton Ghost file ?

    I have a Norton Ghost .gho file, and basicly I want to extract the raw image out of this, for example to use with with tools like dd. (So using any symantec/windows tools is not an option). Is there any open source tool which can deal with these .gho files ? (Note: the.gho file I'm using is a sector based one, and not a file-based one, which implies that things such as Ghost explorer won't work either (see this page)

  • How do I crop an image in the Mac version of Microsoft Word?

    I know how to do it in the Windows version of Word but I can't work out how in the Mac version. In Windows there's a crop tool where you can just drag to move the edges in to crop the image, how do I do that on the Mac? Also on the old version of Windows there was a command to delete the cropped sections of all images in a document to save file space, I can't find that in Word 2007 or Word for Mac.

  • Possible to mount an ext4 partition image via FUSE?

    I'm attempting to mount an ext4 partition image in userspace. (no sudo, no special config/permissions modification to /dev/loop0 or /etc/fstab etc). So I'm hoping FUSE will come to the rescue. However it seems that each file system mounted through the FUSE system needs to have a special FUSE driver, and I've not been able to find a linux read-write ext4 FUSE driver for linux. Is there a way to mount ext4 images via FUSE (with write permission)?

    I know of one: The Angstrom Linux distribution has an online builder (called Narcissus) that allows you to select what applications you want preinstalled in the OS, then builds a working image of it for you to download and run from a flash drive. Is there anything like that for more popular distributions like Red Hat, Fedora, Ubuntu, or Debian? I think this would be particularly useful for virtual appliances and server deployment.

    I wonder if someone did the same, I create an image of a server, then I move it to another , and that other one will have a different domain, so, now I want to create and send mail with the new domain, still the other domain is the one who signs... I already changed the dovecot.cnf , postfix, apache and hosts file, but I cant find where is that domain comming from, any idea of where to look for? Thanks!

    Hi. I'm writing a simple web application in C# and I've gotten to the part where I must add an AdRotator object and link four images to it. I have done this, but no matter what I do the images will not show up; only the alternate text. It makes no sense because the paths are correct.     I have a problem with deserializing in C#/ASP.NET, which gives the exact error: The input stream is not a valid binary format. The starting contents (in bytes) are: 41-41-45-41-41-41-44-2F-2F-2F-2F-2F-41-51-41-41-41 ... What I am trying to do I have a structure with 3 classes. I have a class A which is a base class, and then class B and C which are derived from A. I am trying to store random types of B and C in the database using LINQ to SQL, in a column with the type VARCHAR(MAX). I cannot use BINARY as the length is around 15.000. My code... In the cases where a client computer works normally, the only difference I can see is that the 3rd request for SSL resource comes back with a 200 response, see below: CONNECT gmail.google.com:443 HTTP/1.0 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/5.0; MALC) Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive Content-Length: 0 Host: gmail.google.com Pragma: no-cache Proxy-Authorization: NTLM TlRMTVNTUAADAAAAGAAYAIAAAA A SSLv3-compatible ClientHello handshake was found. I have tried resetting user accounts as well as computer accounts in Active Directory. User accounts and passwords that are being used are correct and the passwords have been reset so they are not out of sync. I have removed the clients and even the proxy server from the domain, and rejoined them. I have installed a complete separate proxy server and get exactly the same problem when I point clients to a different proxy server on a different IP address.
