  • Resuming execution of code after exception is thrown and caught

    - by dotnetdev
    Hi, How is it possible to resume code execution after an exception is thrown? For exampel, take the following code: namespace ConsoleApplication1 { class Test { public void s() { throw new NotSupportedException(); string @class = "" ; Console.WriteLine(@class); Console.ReadLine(); } } class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { try { new Test().s(); } catch (ArgumentException x) { } catch (Exception ex) { } } } } After catching the exception when stepping through, the program will stop running. How can I still carry on execution? Thanks

  • When not to use a Drupal node?

    - by stotastic
    I've recently created a very simple CRUD table where the user stores some data. For the data, I created a custom node. The functionality works great for creating, editing, and deleting data in the CRUD table using the basic node functionality (I'm actually amazed how fast and easy it was to program the basic functionality with proper access controls using only a tiny bit of code).... Since the data isn't meant to be treated the same way as 'content' such as a blog post (no title, no body, no commments, no revisions, shouldn't show up on ?q=node page, no previews, no teasers, etc)... I find that I'm spending most of my time 'turning off' and modifying the stuff that drupal does automatically for nodes. I know its a matter of taste, but where should one draw the line on what should be treated as a node and what shouldn't? In other words, would it be better to program this stuff from scratch without using nodes?

  • [c++] upload image to imageshack

    - by cinek1lol
    Hi! I would like to send pictures via a program written in C + +. - OK WinExec("C:\\curl\\curl.exe -H Expect: -F \"fileupload=@C:\\curl\\ok.jpg\" -F \"xml=yes\" -# \"http://www.imageshack.us/index.php\" -o data.txt -A \"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1\" -e \"http://www.imageshack.us\"", NULL); It works, but I would like to send the pictures from pre-loaded carrier to a variable char (you know what I mean? First off, I load the pictures into a variable and then send the variable), cause now I have to specify the path of the picture on a disk. I wanted to write this program in c++ by using the curl library, not through exe. extension. I have also found such a program (which has been modified by me a bit) #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #include <iostream> #include <curl/curl.h> #include <curl/types.h> #include <curl/easy.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { CURL *curl; CURLcode res; struct curl_httppost *formpost=NULL; struct curl_httppost *lastptr=NULL; struct curl_slist *headerlist=NULL; static const char buf[] = "Expect:"; curl_global_init(CURL_GLOBAL_ALL); /* Fill in the file upload field */ curl_formadd(&formpost, &lastptr, CURLFORM_COPYNAME, "send", CURLFORM_FILE, "nowy.jpg", CURLFORM_END); curl_formadd(&formpost, &lastptr, CURLFORM_COPYNAME, "nowy.jpg", CURLFORM_COPYCONTENTS, "nowy.jpg", CURLFORM_END); curl_formadd(&formpost, &lastptr, CURLFORM_COPYNAME, "submit", CURLFORM_COPYCONTENTS, "send", CURLFORM_END); curl = curl_easy_init(); headerlist = curl_slist_append(headerlist, buf); if(curl) { curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_URL, "http://www.imageshack.us/index.php"); if ( (argc == 2) && (!strcmp(argv[1], "xml=yes")) ) curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, headerlist); curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_HTTPPOST, formpost); res = curl_easy_perform(curl); curl_easy_cleanup(curl); curl_formfree(formpost); curl_slist_free_all (headerlist); } system("pause"); return 0; }

  • Want procmail to run a custom python script, everytime a new mail shows up

    - by Maddy
    I have a pretty usual requirement with procmail but I am unable to get the results somehow. I have procmailrc file with this content: :0 * ^To.*@myhost | /usr/bin/python /work/scripts/privilege_emails_forward.py Wherein my custom python script(privilege_emails_forward.py) will be scanning through the email currently received and do some operations on the mail content. But I am unable to get the script getting executed at the first shot(let alone scanning through the mail content). Is this a correct way of invoking an external program(python) as soon as new mail arrives? And how does my python program(privilege_emails_forward.py) will receive the mail as input? I mean as sys.argv or stdin????

  • Getting error "Association references unmapped class" when using interfaces in model

    - by Bjarke
    I'm trying to use the automap functionality in fluent to generate a DDL for the following model and program, but somehow I keep getting the error "Association references unmapped class: IRole" when I call the GenerateSchemaCreationScript method in NHibernate. When I replace the type of the ILists with the implementation of the interfaces (User and Role) everything works fine. What am I doing wrong here? How can I make fluent use the implemented versions of IUser and IRole as defined in Unity? public interface IRole { string Title { get; set; } IList<IUser> Users { get; set; } } public interface IUser { string Email { get; set; } IList<IRole> Roles { get; set; } } public class Role : IRole { public virtual string Title { get; set; } public virtual IList<IUser> Users { get; set; } } public class User : IUser { public virtual string Email { get; set; } public virtual IList<IRole> Roles { get; set; } } I use the following program to generate the DDL using the GenerateSchemaCreationScript in NHibernate: class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { var ddl = new NHibernateSessionManager(); ddl.BuildConfiguration(); } } public class NHibernateSessionManager { private ISessionFactory _sessionFactory; private static IUnityContainer _container; private static void InitContainer() { _container = new UnityContainer(); _container.RegisterType(typeof(IUser), typeof(User)); _container.RegisterType(typeof(IRole), typeof(Role)); } public ISessionFactory BuildConfiguration() { InitContainer(); return Fluently.Configure().Database(MsSqlConfiguration.MsSql2008 .ConnectionString("ConnectionString")) .Mappings(m => m.AutoMappings.Add( AutoMap.AssemblyOf<IUser>())) .ExposeConfiguration(BuildSchema) .BuildSessionFactory(); } private void BuildSchema(Configuration cfg) { var ddl = cfg.GenerateSchemaCreationScript(new NHibernate.Dialect.MsSql2008Dialect()); System.IO.File.WriteAllLines("Filename", ddl); } }

  • WinForms / .Net interactive world map - how?

    - by FerretallicA
    In a CD collection program, I have each artist's country of origin stored in the main database and want to display a map of the world which: Colour-codes each country depending on the number of CDs by artists in that country Allows clicking on each country to filter a list of CDs to only ones by artists in that country This is a heavily simplified version of what I'm trying to do, but if I can at least get this far the rest should be easy enough to figure out. So far the closest thing I've found to what I'm trying to do is here: http://www.synergetechsolutions.com/blog/analytics-world-map-control Ideally I don't want to be embedding Flash in my program though, and the only other solutions I've found all involve SVG which I haven't managed to get working in practice outside of a web browser control (and I DEFINITELY don't want to be embedding a browser in the forms). Something in pure managed code and either GDI+ or WPF would be preferable. Are there any existing components that would get me started, or can anyone suggest how to approach it from scratch?

  • Unlock a file with unlocker from a c# App?

    - by netadictos
    I am trying to unlock a file from a C# program, using unlocker. In my UI, I put a button to unlock the file the app couldn't delete. When the user pushes the button, I want unlocker (the famous app) to be opened. I have read about in the Unlocker web, and there is some explanations about the commandline to use but nothing works. I write the following code but nothing happens: "c:\Program Files\unlocker\unlocker.exe" -L "PATHFORTHEFILE.doc" Nothing happens. I have tried without parameters and with -LU. Any idea? Something more efficient than unlocker to integrate it with software?

  • How to use SQLite3 with Java

    - by Bruce
    I am trying to build a simple java program which creates a db file, then a table and inserts dummy values in the table. I found this page http://www.zentus.com/sqlitejdbc/index.html and tried out the example given on the page but I am getting the following error - Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Test Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Test at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) Could not find the main class: Test. • Easy framework for OpenGL Shaders in C/C++

    - by Nils
    I just wanted to try out some shaders on a flat image. Turns out that writing a C program, which just takes a picture as a texture and applies, let's say a gaussian blur, as a fragment shader on it is not that easy: You have to initialize OpenGL which are like 100 lines of code, then understanding the GLBuffers, etc.. Also to communicate with the windowing system one has to use GLUT which is another framework.. Turns out that Nvidia's Fx composer is nice to play with shaders.. But I still would like to have a simple C or C++ program which just applies a given fragment shader to an image and displays the result. Does anybody have an example or is there a framework?

  • Illegal instruction gcc assembler.

    - by Bernt
    In assembler: .globl _test _test: pushl %ebp movl %esp, %ebp movl $0, %eax pushl %eax popl %ebp ret Calling from c main() { _test(); } Compile: gcc -m32 -o test test.c test.s This code gives me illegal instruction sometimes and segment fault other times. In gdc i always get illegal instruction, this is just a simple test, i had a larger program that was working and suddenly after no apperant reason stopped working, now i always get this error even if i start from scratch like above. I have narrowed it down to pushl %eax (or any other register....), if i comment out that line the code runs fine. Any ideas? (I'm running the program at my universities linux cluster, so I have not changed any settings..)

  • Eclipse Project Files to .exe or Runnable Jar

    - by twodayslate
    I am able to create the runnable jar using the export feature. However, it does not behave like it does in eclipse. When my program first starts, launch settings are displayed. I can see this. However, when I want to actually launch the meat of the program, it doesn't show up. It seems to not look at all my class files or something. I have tried Far Jar but that didn't work... I have triend JSmooth but still just ran the one frame If I can make this a runnable jar that works or even a .exe, that would be great!

  • Visual C++ 2008 doesn't recognize Windows declared types

    - by David Thornley
    I have a program that doesn't seem to recognize declared types in the latest U3D software. There's a line typedef BOOL (WINAPI* GMI)(HMON, LPMONITORINFOEX); which gets the error: Error 1 error C2061: syntax error : identifier 'LPMONITORINFOEX' c:\Projects\U3D\Source\RTL\Platform\Common\Win32\IFXOSRender.cpp 28 and a line MONITORINFOEX miMon; which gets Error 5 error C2065: 'miMon' : undeclared identifier c:\Projects\U3D\Source\RTL\Platform\Common\Win32\IFXOSRender.cpp 49 Error 3 error C2065: 'MONITORINFOEX' : undeclared identifier c:\Projects\U3D\Source\RTL\Platform\Common\Win32\IFXOSRender.cpp 49 The program's first non-comment statement is #include <windows.h>, which includes winuser.h, which defines these identifiers. In Visual Studio, I can right-click on them and go to the definition (a typedef) and from the typedef to the struct. WINAPI is defined in WinDef.h, so that seems to be working. There are no redefinitions of LPMONITORINFOEX or MONITORINFOEX in any other file. So, how can this be happening, and what can I do about it?

  • IPP linker errors on cygwin

    - by Jason Sundram
    I've built a program that uses mkl and ipp that runs on mac and linux. I'm now building that program for Windows using cygwin and gcc, and can't get it to link. I'm using link path: /opt/intel/IPP/6.1.2.041/ia32/lib and linking to the following: ippiemerged, ippimerged, ippmemerged, ippmmerged, ippsemerged, ippsmerged and ippcorel. Can someone point me to what I'm doing wrong?

  • How do I set sys.excepthook to invoke pdb globally in python?

    - by saffsd
    From Python docs: sys.excepthook(type, value, traceback)¶ This function prints out a given traceback and exception to sys.stderr. When an exception is raised and uncaught, the interpreter calls sys.excepthook with three arguments, the exception class, exception instance, and a traceback object. In an interactive session this happens just before control is returned to the prompt; in a Python program this happens just before the program exits. The handling of such top-level exceptions can be customized by assigning another three-argument function to sys.excepthook. http://docs.python.org/library/sys.html How do I modify this globally so the default action is to always invoke pdb? Is there a configuration file I can change? I don't want to wrap my code to do this.

  • I'd like to know why a function executes fine when called from x but not when called from y

    - by Roland
    When called from archive(), readcont(char *filename) executes fine! Called from runoptions() though, it fails to list the files "archived"! why is this? The program must run in terminal. Use -h as a parameter to view the usage. This program is written to "archive" text files into ".rldzip" files. readcont( char *x) should show the files archived in file (*x) a) Successful call Use the program to archive 3 text files: rldzip.exe a.txt b.txt c.txt FILEXY -a archive() will call readcont and it will work showing the files archived after the binary FILEXY will be created. b) Unsuccessful call After the file is created, use: rldzip.exe FILEXY.rldzip -v You can see that the function crashes! I'd like to know why is this happening! /* Sa se scrie un program care: a) arhiveaza fisiere b) dezarhiveaza fisierele athivate */ #include<stdio.h> #include<stdlib.h> #include<conio.h> #include<string.h> struct content{ char *text; char *flname; }*arc; FILE *f; void readcont(char *x){ FILE *p; if((p = fopen(x, "rb")) == NULL){ perror("Critical error: "); exit(EXIT_FAILURE); } content aux; int i; fread(&i, sizeof(int), 1, p); printf("\nFiles in %s \n\n", x); while(i-- >1 && fread(&aux, sizeof(struct content), 1, p) != 0) printf("%s \n", aux.flname); fclose(p); printf("\n\n"); } void archive(int argc, char **argv){ int i; char inttext[5000], textline[1000]; //Allocate dynamic memory for the content to be archived! arc = (content*)malloc(argc * sizeof(content)); for(i=1; i< argc; i++) { if((f = fopen(argv[i], "r")) == NULL){ printf("%s: ", argv[i]); perror(""); exit(EXIT_FAILURE); } while(!feof(f)){ fgets(textline, 5000, f); strcat(inttext, textline); } arc[i-1].text = (char*)malloc(strlen(inttext) + 1); strcpy(arc[i-1].text, inttext); arc[i-1].flname = (char*)malloc(strlen(argv[i]) + 1); strcpy(arc[i-1].flname, argv[i]); fclose(f); } char *filen; filen=(char*)malloc(strlen(argv[argc])+1+7); strcpy(filen, argv[argc]); strcat(filen, ".rldzip"); f = fopen(filen, "wb"); fwrite(&argc, sizeof(int), 1, f); fwrite(arc, sizeof(content), argc, f); fclose(f); printf("Success!   • How to skip integers in C++ taken from a fstream txt file?

    - by Elaina
    I need to create a function that uses a loop. This function will open a text file and then must be able to skip a variable number of leading random integers. The program must be able to handle any number of leading random integers. Example if the opened file reads this on its first line: 100 120 92 82 38 49 102 and the SKIP_NUMBER variable is assigned 3 the number the function would grab is 82. The function must continue to grab the integers every SKIP_NUMBER until it reaches the end of the file. These integers taken from the txt file are then placed into another text file. Please help I'm really lost on how to create this loop! :D Here is my function so far... //Function skips variables and returns needed integer int skipVariable (int SKIP_NUMBER) { return 0; //temporary return } These are my program variables: // initialize function/variables ifstream fin; string IN_FILE_NAME, OUT_FILE_NAME; int SKIP_NUMBER;

  • How do I include extremely long literals in C++ source?

    - by BillyONeal
    Hello everyone :) I've got a bit of a problem. Essentially, I need to store a large list of whitelisted entries inside my program, and I'd like to include such a list directly -- I don't want to have to distribute other libraries and such, and I don't want to embed the strings into a Win32 resource, for a bunch of reasons I don't want to go into right now. I simply included my big whitelist in my .cpp file, and was presented with this error: 1>ServicesWhitelist.cpp(2807): fatal error C1091: compiler limit: string exceeds 65535 bytes in length The string itself is about twice this allowed limit by VC++. What's the best way to include such a large literal in a program?

    I am trying to run a batch file. the file is located here: C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\getfile.bat I use this in oracle forms 6i: first i assign this path to a variable: tmp_msg := 'C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\getfile.bat' then I use the host command: host( 'cmd /c' || tmp_msg, no_screen); This is exactly as I have it. It doesn't give me an error, but I don't get the result that I'm expecting. I'm actually executing java code in the batch file like so: java -classpath path;addedpackage.jar myClass I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you.

  • MPI C fprintf() output not showing up if the process hangs on MPI_Recv

    - by Karolis
    I'm writing an MPI C program. I have troubles debugging it, because whenever I use fprintf, like this: fprintf(stdout, "worker: %d", worker); if the program hangs, because of some blocking MPI_Recv, I can't see any output. I'm sure the line of code is reached, because I can put a return statement after the fprintf statement, in which case the process finishes execution and the output is printed. Any ideas, on how to print (see the output) even though the process gets blocked later by Recv? I hope this makes sense.

  • How to check PHP filecode syntax in PHP?

I am on Windows, and I have tried system("C:\\Program Files (x86)\\PHP\\php.exe -l \"C:/Program Files (x86)/Apache/htdocs/a.php\"", $output); var_dump($output); without luck. The parameter -l should check for correct PHP syntax, and throw errors if some problems exist. Basically, I want to do something similar to this picture: That is, to be able to detect errors in code.

I have no experience with game programming and am looking for a good place to start. I mainly want to program for windows but wouldnt mind moving to consoles or even mobile in the future. I was hoping someone could point me to the tools that professionals use to develop games. Also any information on the subject is welcome.

  • How can I determine if a file I want to read from actually exists?

    - by Imray
    I'm learning Java, and I'm trying to write a program that can read from a .ser file, which I've already created with a writeTo method. I want to know a given file exists in the system before I tell the program to read from it. My code looks like this: public boolean readFromSerializedFile(String fileName){ FileInputStream fileInStream = null; ObjectInputStream objectInStream = null; try{ fileInStream = new FileInputStream(fileName); objectInStream = new ObjectInputStream(fileInStream); Is there a simple way I can determine if the file with the name of the parameter exists in the root directory (or wherever else specified)?
