    Google App Engine provides a image API for storing / retrieving images. We are currently not in a position to deploy our application on top of App Engine because of limitations in the java frameworks (jboss seam 2.2.0) we are using to build our j2ee application. We would eventually want to deploy our production application on top of Google App Engine, but what are the short term options (java based open source products) which provides comparable functionality to Google App Engine's Image API and will have an easier migration path at a later point in time.

Currently I want to separate the app server and db server, so I create a jdbc datasource to point to mysql server, but it doesn't works as expect, by the way, when I create datasource to point to local machine (glassfish app server and mysql db server in single machine), and It works well. Is there any configuration I need to care of when pointing datasource to different machine which I use to host my database (MySQL 5.1)?

Elements can be considered hidden for several reasons: An ancestor element is hidden, so the element is not shown on the page. What I want to detect is "this element is visible, but is contained in a hidden parent". Ie, if I made the parent visible, this element would also be visible.

I want different controllers/actions to be invoked depending on the presence of a parameter after the '?'.     I'm trying to transfer a site from one hosting company to another. I was using 000webhost until the client had hosting and a domain. Now that the client has their domain and hosting, using FatCow.com, I can not for the life of me, debug my PHP code. I'm not getting any errors. I have a successful DB connection. If you procedurally display data, it works, but when I try to use my original objects, something is breaking and just returns "0:". I have all errors on. On old server where the site worked: PHP Version 5.2.11 MySQL Version: 5.0.81 On new server where I get the "0:": PHP Version 5.2.12 MySQL Version 5.0.32 I've setup a test page to test just the output of the variables with the DB connection.     The script I'm using is if($profile['username'] == $user['username']) { $db->query("UPDATE users SET newcomments = 0 WHERE username = '$user[username]'"); echo "This is a test"; } (Note that $db-query is exactly the same as mysql_query) For some very odd reason, the MySQL query is being performed even if the defined condition is false The "This is a test" works properly and only appears when the condition is met, but the MySQL query is performed anyway Whats the problem with it?

If it's not empty, that row means existing entity and should overwrite old one. Else, that row is new entity and should create new one.
