I'm using a datagridview in C# WinForms, with data from a Sybase database, and characters are not showing correctly. This is what I see:
Do you know how can I fix this?
Using MATLAB I filtered a very noisy m x n array with a low-pass Gaussian filter, cleaned it up pretty well but still not well enough to analyze my data. What would the next step be? I'm thinking that signal enhancement, but am not sure how to go about this.
I'm trying to use a simple mysql database but tweak it so that every field is backed up up to an indefinite number of versions. The best way I can illustrate this is by replacing each and every field of every table with a stack of all the values this field has ever had (each of these values should be timestamped). I guess it's kind of like having customized version control for all my data..
Any ideas on how to do this?
Is there a way to import data from a JSON file into R? More specifically, the file is an array of JSON objects with string fields, objects, and arrays. The RJSON Package isn't very clear on how to deal with this http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/rjson/rjson.pdf.
I'm looking for a easy way to post data to webpages while keeping the cookies. for example you login to somewhere, and later you do some new actions.
What's the easiest way to do that?
Today i listened a lecture about fenwick trees (binary indexed trees) and the teacher says than this tree is a generalization of interval and segment trees, but my implementations of this three data structures are different.
Is this afirmation true? and Why?

I may have missed the whole point about protocols but my question is, can protocol be used to say iterate a custom data structure or how println would print the object?
I need to assign a custom property to a jQuery object. Here is the object:
var object = $("<div id='item'></div>");
I need object to have a custom data member. How can I add this?
I'd like to pass data from one asp.net page to another. I've seen that using System.Web.Caching.Cache is a good way to accomplish this. I'm wondering if it's a good way to do it and also is there any cleanup or other things I need to keep in mind when you the Cache?
I'm not passing very much, at most two integers.
Thanks.
declare @mydata nvarchar(4000)
set @mydata = '36|0, 77|5, 132|61'
I have this data that I need to get into a table. So for Row1 columnA would be 36 and columnB would be 0. For Row2 columnA would be 77 and columnB would be 5 etc.
What is the best way to do this?
Thanks
I have a XML with 3 values, they are 'name', 'department', 'value'. I want to display a data grid with four columns like Name, department, credit and debit. When I have a value positive in 'value' column I want to enter the value in debit column and 0 in credit column and vice versa.
I have a ethenet access control device that is said to be able to communicate via TCP.

I am a new to Informix and as part of my testing activity I am in need of creating 2TB+ size data for Oracle, Informix & Sybase. Is there a database-neutral way of doing this?
I am looking for any freeware or open source tools as well; I can find a few for Oracle but hardly any for Informix & Sybase.
I have a listbox (listBox) and a dropdown list(dropDown). I want to be able to select an item from the dropDown and add them to the listBox. I have looked everywhere for this but all I ever see is adding data from a datasource instead of a dropdown. I want this to be dynamic so the listBox is populated based on the a user selected in the dropDown
In .Net, is it possible for process A to modify the values of some static data members from process B?
When running under the same AppDomain, it's possible to do so via Reflection, but about doing so between different process? (via Reflection also. I'm not looking to use functions such as Win32::ReadProcessMemory)
I know that this question is quite common, but its specifics are stumping me.
I have an "export" button which I want to take a load of data generated, create a CSV file, then pop up a Save File As dialog box, to save that file on their local machine.
The name of this file is dynamic, also.
I know how to make the CSV file, but how do I then pop up a box on the client side to let the user download it?
I am using JSP with Struts
Ok I have been reading the cherrypy documents for sometime and have not found a simple example yet. Let say I have a simple hello world site, how do I store data? Lets say I want to store a = 1, and b =2 to a dictionary using cherrypy. The config files are confusing as hell. Anyone have very simple example of storing values from a simple site in cherrypy?
I have a very large form I need the user to complete. They need to be able to save their progress whether valid or not. When they have come back at a later time, they can update and make valid - then submit the data.
I am using client side scripting (xval), server side attributes on the domain model.
I have a flex line chart. Instead of the default behavior of having to hover over parts of the line to see the data points, is there a way to change the rendering of each point and have them always displayed? (almost like a connect the dots type view).
How do I find if a string contains html data or not? (note: user provides input via rich:editor and its quite possible he could have used either a simple text or used html formatting)
