  • Using pydev with Eclipse on OSX

    I setup PyDev with this path for the python interpreter /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/Python since the one under /usr/bin were alias and Eclipse won't select it. I can run my python script now but cannot run the shell as an external tool. The message I get is variable references empty selection ${resource_loc} Same if I use {container_loc} Any thoughts ?   • How to "grep" out specific lline ranges of a file

    There are often times I'll grep -l whatev file to find what I'm looking for. Say the output is 1234: whatev 1 5555: whatev 2 6643: whatev 3 If I want to then just extract the lines between 1234 and 5555, is there a tool to do that? For static files I have a script that does wc -l of the file and then does the math to split it out with tail & head but that doesn't work out so well with log files that are constantly being written to.

I cannot use linq to object because query always changes and the report i'm working on, has about 6000 queries which i can reduce to 9 if i find some tool doing that for me.   • Django: auto minifying css/js files before release

    Hi, I have following case: I want to use uncompressed js/css files during development (to debug js for example) but on production I want to switch automatically to minified versions of that files. some simple solution is to put in your template: <script src="some_js.{% if not debug %}min.{% endif %}js".... but this require manully providing that such file exist and to do minifaction manullay after original file change. How do you accomplish this in your projects? Is there any tool for this?

Something like this: doc1: 1,0.45 6,0.001 94,0.1 ... doc2: 3,0.5 98,0.2 ... ... each position of the vector represent a word, and the score is given by something like TF-IDF.     I have a string (R(46 - 9900)) AND ( NOT (R(48 - 9900))) where R denotes Range . If you evaluate the expression it results in R(46-47) , considering the logical operators (AND,NOT). I have a requirement where I need to parse such a string and evaluate it to a correct result . I have to use C++ as a programming tool to achieve this result . Can anyone suggest a few guide lines as to how do I proceed on this ?

    I'm looking for ways to optimize our current web server hosted in-house. I'm trying to supply as much relevant information below. Please let me know if you would require additional information in order to assist. Server is running 1 single website, which is an online pizza ordering platform built on Zend Framework (ver1). On traffic stats from the last month aprox 6.000 pageloads per day, concentrated mainly around dinnertime. Around 1500 loads/hour peaks in that period. We recently upgraded from a 2/2mbit aDSL-line to 100/100mbit fiber, and we still have performance issues at dinner time. We assumed the 2mbit was the issue. Website is pretty snappy in low-load periods.   • Emacs bulk indent for Python

    Working with Python in Emacs if I want to add a try/catch to a block of code, I often find that I am having to indent the whole block, line by line. In Emacs, how do you indent the whole block at once. I am not an experienced Emacs user, but just find it is the best tool for working through ssh. I am using Emacs on the command line(Ubuntu), not as a gui, if that makes any difference.
