  • Does WCF use the ThreadPool to bring up new instances for a PerCall service?

    - by theburningmonk
Hi, for a PerCall WCF service whose throttling has been set to be high (say, 200 max concurrent calls) would WCF bring up a new instance and invoke the request on a threadpool thread? If it does, then does this have an impact on the total number of concurrent calls allowed? I ask because I don't seem to ever hit the max number of concurrent calls I've set in the service throttling config but instead a fraction of that number - up to 50 on a 100 MaxConcurrentCalls setting and 160 on a 200 MaxConcurrentCalls setting. Thanks,

  • How to monitor delayed_job with monit

    - by Luke Francl
Are there any examples on the web of how to monitor delayed_job with Monit? Everything I can find uses God, but I refuse to use God since long running processes in Ruby generally suck. (The most current post in the God mailing list? God Memory Usage Grows Steadily.) Update: delayed_job now comes with a sample monit config based on this question.

  • How can I get/set default printers on a per-user basis in Terminal Services with C#?

    - by Charlie
I want to be able to get and set the default printer for users within Windows Terminal Services, but I don't see any relevant functions. (The closest I've seen is RDS User Config, but it doesn't appear to do what I need.) It can be done by name or by ID (however necessary). For example, something like this pseudocode: For each user, u: p = u.GetDefaultPrinter() if p.name=='Inkjet' then: p2 = GetPrinterByName('Laser') u.SetDefaultPrinter( p2 )

  • XHTML 1.0 Strict, is there a tool that can refactor HTML?

I have a Asp.net web application running with the following config setting. <xhtmlConformance mode="Legacy"/> This limits use of AJAX and compatibility with multiple browser. If my understanding is correct, the HTML code of the aspx pages need to be fixed to comply with XHTML 1.0 Strict. There are alot of HTML pages, ~1000, is there a tool that could speed up this process?

  • Wrong file encoding after Dist::Zilla

    - by xenoterracide
How can I get mojibake to pass? this might be a bug in the contributors plugin. The character does not render correctly in perldoc, but does in my vim and in the extracted git log. # Failed test 'Mojibake test for blib/lib/Pod/Spell.pm' # at /home/xenoterracide/perl5/perlbrew/perls/perl-5.18.1/lib/site_perl/5.18.1/Test/Mojibake.pm line 168. # Non-UTF-8 unexpected in blib/lib/Pod/Spell.pm, line 431 (POD) here's a snippet from the source which should probably be looked at directly due to copy-paste maybe not catching an encoding issue. =item * Olivier Mengué <[email protected]> =back A little more vim exploration shows that :set filencoding is being changed to latin1 editing the file in vim seems to fix this, but since the file is being generated, how can I get it generated with the correct encoding?

  • JBoss https on port other than 8080 not working

    - by MilindaD
We have a server with two JBoss instances where one runs on 8080, the other on 8081. We need to have HTTPS enabled for the 8081 server, firstly we tried enabling https on the 8080 port instance by generating the keystore and editing the server.xml and it successfully worked. However when we tried the same thing for 8081 it did not, note that we removed https for the 8080 server first before enabling it for 8081. This is what was used for both server.xml for 8080 and 8081. The only difference was that the port was changed from 8080 to 8081 when trying to enable https for 8081 port instance. What am I doing wrong and what needs to be changed? NOTE : When I meant enabled for 8080 I meant when you visit https:// URL:8484 you will actually be visiting the 8080 port instance. However when ssl is enabled for 8081 and I visit https:// URL:8484 I get that the web page is unavailable. • DavCInt User Agent and Options Verb Requests

    - by beckelmw
We are getting quite a few errors in our logs where the user agent is DavCInt and verb is OPTIONS. Does anyone know who/what might be making this type of request? We are using ASP.NET MVC and all of our controller actions are decorated with HttpGet or HttpPost as appropriate so a controller supporting the request is of course not found. I know I can deny verbs in the web.config but I am looking for any insight before I do so.

  • how to use store define in store folder

    - by Kevin Morfin
I'm new to sencha-touch. I was wondering how to properly use the file structure in sencha-touch. For example, under the app folder there's your controller, model, profile, store, view folders. If I define a store, for example under the the store folder I create a file named search.js Ext.define('Volunteer.store.search'{ extend: 'Ext.data.Store', requires: ['Volunteer.model.person'], config:{ model: 'Volunteer.model.person' } }); How do I use this store in a different file?

  • How can I get started with PHPUnit, where my class construct requires a preconfigured db connection?

    I have a class that uses a lot of database internally, so I built the constructor with a $db handle that I am supposed to pass to it. I am just getting started with PHPUnit, and I am not sure how I should go ahead and pass the database handle through setup. public function setUp(/*do I pass a database handle through here, using a reference? aka &$db*/){ $this->_acl = new acl; } public function __construct(Zend_Db_Adapter_Abstract $db, $config = array()){

  • How to detect that azure application is running development fabric?

    - by Hasan Khan
How can I reliability detect whether my Azure application is running in development fabric and not in 'the cloud' ? RoleEnvironment.IsAvailable is true for both. I want something that is true in only one case. I'm asking this because I want users of my library to be able to use my library for free in dev fabric. Hence manually putting seperate identifier or flag in config file and keeping two configs for dev and deploy is not feasible.

  • Loading Modules in Angular

    - by SL Dev
I'm new to AngularJS. In my efforts to learn, I've relied on the AngularJS tutorials. Now, I'm trying to build an app using the AngularSeed project template. I'm trying to make my project as modular as possible. For that reason, my controllers are broken out into several files. Currently, I have the following: /app index.html login.html home.html javascript app.js loginCtrl.js homeCtrl.js my app.js file has the following: 'use strict'; var app = angular.module('site', ['ngRoute']); app.config(function($routeProvider, $locationProvider) { $locationProvider.html5Mode(true); $routeProvider.when('/login', {templateUrl: 'app/login.html', controller:'loginCtrl'}); $routeProvider.when('/home', {templateUrl: 'app/home.html', controller:'homeCtrl'}); $routeProvider.otherwise({redirectTo: '/login'}); }); my loginCtrl.js file is very basic at the moment. It only has: 'use strict'; app.controller('loginCtrl', function loginCtrl($scope) { } ); My homeCtrl.js is almost the same, except for the name. It looks like the following: 'use strict'; app.controller('homeCtrl', function homeCtrl($scope) { } ); My index.html file is the angularSeed index-async.html file. However, when I load the dependencies, I have the following: // load all of the dependencies asynchronously. $script([ 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.0-rc.3/angular.min.js', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.0-rc.3/angular-route.min.js', 'javascript/app.js', 'javascript/loginCtrl.js', 'javascript/homeCtrl.js' ], function() { // when all is done, execute bootstrap angular application angular.bootstrap(document, ['site']); }); My problem is, sometimes my app works and sometimes it doesn't. It's almost like something gets loaded before something else. Occasionally, I receive this error. Other times, I get an error in the console window that says: 'Uncaught ReferenceError: app is not defined' in loginCtrl.js. Sometimes it happens with homeCtrl.js. What am I doing wrong? It feels like I need to have my controllers in a module and pass that module in my app.config in the app.js file. However, a) I'm not sure if that allowed and b) I'm not sure how to do it.

  • HTML Scraping in Php.

Can anyone recommend a plugin or library that allows people to upload images which automatically gets cropped and resized? I don't mind editting some config files to specify how images should be cropped and resized. Additionally, after uploading, the front end user should be able to drag and drop for re-ordering. Can someone recommend something that works with php?
