    I am trying to change the background image whenever the document is loaded, and when it hits this point: document.body.style.backgroundImage="url('../images/mobile-bckground.png')"; The page simply makes the background plain white. It is displayed like this in my javascript: $(function() { document.body.style.backgroundImage="url('../images/mobile-bckground.png')"; }); I have verified the image is in the right location, why is it doing this?

    So I am trying to add an icon to an image, once someone has 'tagged' a portion of the image - i.e. they have submitted the form. How do I do that in jQuery? Just to be clear...imagine you are on flickr and you see an image. You want to add an annotation, you click on the image where you want, and it shows you a form field. You enter the information you want to, then after you have done so, there is a small image left on top of the picture that shows where you have left a comment. Any ideas?

  • How to place an element at the bottom of a page, without declaring a position?

    I have a row of icons that need to be at the bottom of the page, they also need to be fixed. Simple, right? Not. When you position them fixed, the icons fall into one another so only one icon shows. Well there goes that, but there also goes the chance of placing them at the bottom of the page since I need #icons { position:fixed; bottom:0; } I could always manually place them, but this means they cant be fixed like I need them too, and I would have to declare it for different browsers. Help?   • What options exist to get text/ list items to appear in columns?

    I have a bunch of HTML markup coming from an external source, and it is mainly h3 elements and ul elements. I want to have the content flow in 3 columns. I know there is something coming in CSS3, but what options do I have to get this content to flow nicely into the 3 columns at the time being? I'm not that concerned about IE6 (as long as it degrades gracefully). Am I stuck using jQuery to parse the markup and chop it up into 3 divs which float?     In my javascript file there is, var htm = '<div style="overflow:hidden;height:24px;width:150px;" onmouseover="tooltip(this)">' ; function tooltip(sp) { sp.title = sp.innerHTML; } So on mouse over a text the tooltip is displayed.But the tool tip does not stay longer. meaning the position is not fixed. Can the code be modified such that mouse over should be done on the text and the tool tip also........

But i would like that if user scrolls down, first the tittle appears, then the content and at the end the images. And then when user scrolls to the next box, the same process repeat's itself. I use some CSS3 delays, but in this case i don't know how long will user take to scroll down. thanks!

  • How can I pin a div in my sidebar column to the bottom?

    I have a simple two column layout with a footer at the bottom. When the content in the sidebar is taller than the content in the main column, everything looks great. But when the height of the main column is greater than the sidebar, I need the sidebar to grow to the same height as the main column and for the last <div> in the sidebar to be pinned to the very bottom.
