    Hi everyone, I want to make a C# app in Mono as it's the only programming language I'm mostly comfortable with. Anyway, ATI Drivers on Linux do not have a Fan control feature and therefore the cards to tend to heat up. For me I prefer to have a cooler card. What I want to do is run a command such as: aticonfig --pplib-cmd 'set fanspeed 0 70' In a application but I the thing is..How can I run that code so it works, I am currently running Ubuntu 10.04, and it does work in the terminal, but I want to implement it into an application.     Hi, I currently have a JSP page with a Form for the user to enter their name, but what I want is to get the user forwarded to a different JSP page after form submission and to carry on their name to be used.     I am working on a project in which i am required to capture frames from external device video and render them on openSceneGraph Node. I am also using GLSL shaders. But i dont know how to update textures on runtime. For other uniforms we need to make callbacks but do we also need to make callbacks for samplers in glsl and openSceneGraph ? My code looks like this.   • Easy Threading in WPF

    Hi everyone, I've been reading a lot about threading in C#, WPF and Silverlight but can't get it to work. My main problem is I have the _load (_Initialized) action and it has a lot of object creation and along with that I have timers working doing different things, this causes the startup time of the program to be very slow and obviously causes the UI to hang and it isn't a good thing for deploying to a lot of users. My timers change values of labels and textfields but having them do that on another thread is an obvious no go. So can someone give me some examples on how to achieve what I need to do? Thanks

    I'm having a ASUS K55VM with Intel Core i7 3610QM (IvyBridge) with a NVIDIA GT630M. I'm trying to operate the Intel XTU, but as you can see in the screenshot, all the options are greyed out. Can you please help with this situation. Another are is the CPU Throttling (Intel SpeedStep) which is always shown as 0%. But in the Intel Turbo Monitor, the Speed keeps dynamically changing. Then why is the CPU Throttling always at 0%?:

  • Squid not caching

    I am trying to configure Squid as a caching server. I have a LAN where The webserver (apache) is at 192.168.122.11 squid is at 192.168.122.21 and my client is at 192.168.122.22. The problem is, when I look at Squid's access log, all I see are TCP_MISS messages. It seems Squid is not caching at all. I checked that the cache directory has all proper permissions. What else can go wrong here? Please let me know if I need to post the configuration

    I had an Eclipse - Galileo working fine . Suddenly it started to hang till death(eclipse crashes) when I tried to open a DB2 table form DbViewer Plugin's Db tree View . I tried many stuffs , replacing DbViewer plugin and other memory stuffs . This happens only with DBViewer. So I unziped another eclipse in another directory . But it opens the same settings,plugins and workspace of the previous eclipse .I removed the previous eclipse even the same problem exists. In simple word. How to remove eclipse completely from Windows 7?

  • Dell Studio 1555 not starting up

    This is a 3-year-old laptop. I never had a big problem with it until now. I updated Kubuntu the night before yesterday. And Firefox got updated to version 18 and a few other related packages got updated. Then I shut down the laptop and restarted it, but it failed to start. I could hear the fan and the hard disk and the optical disk drive initialize. And the power button also lighted up. But there was no video - no POST or BIOS menu. I even opened the laptop up to the point when only the motherboard was the only thing attached to the base cover. I took it to the technician this evening. He checked it casually, and said that it might be a motherboard problem and will cost quite a bit to fix. Though he was not sure and said that he will give me a call after confirming the problem. Has anyone else had the same problem? What was it and what was the fix?
