    I have a ASP.NET application I've inherited from the person who did my job previously, when I try to debug the program I get the error below. "A project with an output type of class librart cannot be started directly" I'm familiar with desktop programs but I'm new to working with ASP.NET, the code is easy enough to understand but I can't get my head around how to successfully debug it.     I am playing around with PHPFog and as a result I ended up with a MySql database. I am trying to figure out how to connect to it with a success message. PHPFog says use this: mysql_connect( $server = getenv('MYSQL_DB_HOST'), $username = getenv('MYSQL_USERNAME'), $password = getenv('MYSQL_PASSWORD')); mysql_select_db(getenv('MYSQL_DB_NAME')); So I basically plug my variables into the above?     Have a type in the header files I'm working with called VTVOID it is the type of a struct element and a number of parameters. In the header file defining types is the line #define VTVOID void I read in another discussion the void maps to System.Void however when I plug that into the C# code I get the error "System.Void cannot be used in C# -- use typeof(void) to get the void object."   • Windows update stuck. Fixt it stuck. So is KB947821. What should I do?

    I installed a new computer. After I installed I update everything and let the computer runs for days. Then I don't know what my daughter do. The computer stop responding. Windows update no longer work. People said to run fix it. Fix it run and after that the problem still persist and it still doesn't work. The problem changes though. Before there is some error code. Now windows update simply "updating" never end. So I downloaded KB947821. It's been 3 hour and it's still installing. Looks like it hit firewall or something. i don't see windows update on firewall exception list. However, I've never heard that this is an issue. Firewall only protect against incoming transaction, not outgoing right? Or what am I missing. What should I do?

  • How to restore windows.old for windows 7

    I reinstall windows. Then I regret that and want to go back. Fortunately the old windows is stored at windows.old I follow the instruction in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971760 I did it all with small catches When I insert the windows 7 installer, the drive for installer is X and my hard disk is D rather than C. However, on normal windows operation the drive is C. Only when I boot through CD the partition is assigned to the letter D. There is no file bootsect on my windows installer So I can't do **D:\boot\bootsect /nt60 c:** Which should be changed to X:\boot\bootsect /nt60 C: or X:\boot\bootsect /nt60 D: depending on what it really does. As I said if I boot through windows dvd my hard disk letter is D but normally it's C. I am not even sure what that bootsect does anyway. I also can't do this one Attrib –h –s –r boot.ini.saved Copy boot.ini.saved boot.ini There is no file boot.ini or boot.ini.saved It's hidden but I don't see it if I try to look unhidden files either. Because I simply switch from windows 7 to windows 7 and the directory for windows don't change c:\windows I thought it should still work. Well, it doesn't. When windows restart it only goes to the logo and then restart the computer.

  • Is there a time machine equivalent for windows that can back up network files?

    This question is similar to Does an equivalent of Time Machine exist for Windows?, with one difference: The files I want to back up are on a network drive. The computer on that network drive is running Windows XP. I want to back up data on Windows 7. How would I do so? I'd like something similar to Mac OS X' time machine. So copy of data every hour, day, week. Then thinning out, data gets deleted automatically as time goes by. For example, the data for last day is kept as hourly snapshots. For last week, as daily snapshots every day. And for last month as weekly snapshots. How can I achieve this?

    I have been running into walls with this for a while, so I posted at stackoverflow, and I was pointed over here... I am attempting to setup multiple IP addresses on Snow Leopard so that I can develop with SSL certificates. I am running XAMPP - I don't know if that is the problem, but I guess I would run into the same problems, considering the built in apache is turned off. So first up I looked into starting up the IPs on start up. I got up an running with a new StartupItem that runs correctly, because I can ping the ip address: ping 127.0.0.2 ping 127.0.0.1 And both of them work. So now I have IP addresses, which as you may know are not standard on OSx. I edited the /etc/hosts file to include the new sites too: 127.0.0.1 site1.local 127.0.0.2 site2.local I had already changed the httpd.conf to use the httpd-vhosts.conf - because I had a few sites running on the one IP address. I have edited the vhosts file so a site looks like this: <VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:80> DocumentRoot "/Users/jim/Documents/Projects/site1/web" ServerName site1.local <Directory "/Users/jim/Documents/Projects/site1"> Order deny,allow Deny from All Allow from 127.0.0.1 AllowOverride All </Directory> </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:443> DocumentRoot "/Users/jim/Documents/Projects/site1/web" ServerName site1.local SSLEngine On SSLCertificateFile "/Applications/XAMPP/etc/ssl-certs/myssl.crt" SSLCertificateKeyFile "/Applications/XAMPP/etc/ssl-certs/myssl.key" SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown <Directory "/Users/jim/Documents/Projects/site1"> Order deny,allow Deny from All Allow from 127.0.0.1 AllowOverride All </Directory> </VirtualHost> In the above code, you can change the 1's to 2's and it is the setup for the second site. But in Safari I can only get to the first site1.local - navigating to site2.local gives me either the localhost main page (which is included in the vhosts) or gives me a Access forbidden!. I am usure what to do, any suggestions would be awesome.

The query should be efficient: there are millions of rows in people table, hundreds of thousands of rows in properties table (so most people have no properties).     I'm using Jasper Reports/iReports crosstabs to create a matrix of student and results. So for example Jim is doing subjects A, B, C and Sally is doing A, C What I want is something like: Subj-A Subj-B Subj-C Jim P M D Sally D D But as my SQL orders by name then subject I get: Subj-A Subj-B Subj-C Subj-A Subj-C Jim P M D Sally D D As you can see in the above the results are correct but the formatting is woeful. Is there anyway I can generate the reports to use names and subject only once and filling in the values from here? This probably isn't clear.
