• How to host multiple RRAS in same network?

  i have hosted w2003 RRAS in my network succesfully ( Natting with one public IP ) i need to host another RRAS setup same like above with different private IP address and public IP's,. when i configured so, both w2003 servers got frozen and internet not working. sometimes the gateway is same for both the servers. How can i host 2 RRAS in the same network, i am using RRAS to limit bandwidth for computers running private ip's through bandwithcontroller software.

  Hi all, I am using squid like Internet proxy server on RHEL 4 update 6 & 8 with quite heavy load i.e. 8k established connections during peak hour. Without depending much on application provider's expertise I want to achieve maximum o/p from linux. W.r.t. that I have certain questions as following: How to find out if there is scope for further tcp fine-tuning (without exhausting available resources) as the benchmark values given by vendor looks poor! Is there any parameter value that is available from OS / network stack that will show me the results. If at all there is scope, how shall I identify & configure OS tcp stack parameters i.e. using sysctl or any specific parameter Post tuning how shall I clearly measure performance enhancement / degradation ?

• sar command to generate only CPU utilization and network statistics in Linux

  I want to be able to generate the system activity report every 30 seconds or every minute and store in a file and use it for diagnostic purposes on my VM. So I give an output file for the sar command and read it using the "-f" option. But I only use the CPU utilization and network utilization part of the report and so rest is all that I don't want to save (waste the space in the disk to store these reports). Also the sar files that are generated are all binary. Is there a way to collect these stats for the CPU and network utilization alone? and so save almost 2/3rds the space on the disk?

• VLC Audio Problems in Windows 7

• What is the default mount point on Linux systems (all)?

  My question is very basic in nature. Is the mount point for external media (like USB) always /media? Because in a Debian system, if I plug in any USB device that goes to the /media folder. So is it the case with all the other Linux flavors like Fedora, Ubuntu, etc. If a USB device is automatically mounted will it always go to the /media directory?

• How to execute a shell script on startup?

  I have create a script to start a server(my first question). Now I want it to run on the system boot and start the defined server. What should I do to get this done? My findings tell me put this file in /etc/init.d location and it will execute when the system will boot. But I am not able to understand how the first argument on the startup will be start? Is this predefined somewhere to use start as $1? If I want to have a case startall that will start all the servers in the script, then what are the options I can manage. • Problem with internet connection

  Hi all, I am working on windows vista. I have got two internet connections, one is wifi connection with high speed. And other is mobile network connection. There is a very strange problem I am getting. When I connect to wi-fi connection I an not able to serf internet(actually not all the sites). I am able to search on Google but when i click on any link in the search list it does not open. But I am able to serf all the pages in google.com domain and also all the pages in stackoverflow domain. But i am not able to go to page http://repo1.maven.org/maven2 But When I am connected by my mobile network. I am able to serf any site. Can you please tell me what might me the problem with my settings.

But, when I click on start, it says the following message: The Forefront Identity Manager Service service on WINSP02 started and then stopped.   What I have? I have normal web application and it has 3 site collections with name, "PDirectory". Other than this I have only Central administration web application in the farm. What I want? I want to delete that web application, "PDirectory". What problem am I facing? I am not able to delete the web application. I get below error when I try to delete it but, the site collections got deleted! Error: An object in the SharePoint administrative framework, "SPWebApplication Name=XXX Parent=SPWebService", could not be deleted because other objects depend on it. Update all of these dependants to point to null or different objects and retry this operation. • Squid randomly stops serving requests. How can I resolve this issue?

  The squid (2.7) proxy that I have running on ubuntu 8.10 stops accepting new requests after being online for a while, due to reasons that I can't discover. However doing a squid -k reload resolves the problem immediately. Now I manually run this command by monitoring the log and if i don't see any activity for 5 minutes I reload the config. Now on my quest for a solution I had several ideas: diagnose the root cause and eliminate it setup a script to automatically reload script if no new entries in access.log for the past 3 minutes painstakingly upgrade server to newer ubuntu version while keeping network offline or during off hours to minimize downtime. so i thought I would turn to you for solutions to option 2), as I do not understand squid enough for 1), and I'm avoiding 3) as long as i can. so can ideas?

  In my web-application, I have various audio clips uploaded by the users in the database stored in the BLOB column. The audio files are low bit rate WAV files. The clips are secured, one can see only those clips he has uploaded. Instead of user downloading the clip and playing it in his player, I need it be steamed online in the web page itself.   What I have? I have a ASP.NET page deployed in layouts folder of 12 hive in SharePoint. This page makes use of Accordion control in AjaxControlToolkit.dll V3.5.40412.2. I have placed the page code behind class assembly and AjaxControlToolkit.dll in Virtual Directory bin folder. What I want? I want to load this page when a link clicked from a web part for users of "Visitors" site group when the DLLs are placed in virtual directory bin folder. What problem am I facing? The page loads properly for administrator. But, for "Visitors", it shows "The website declined to show this webpage" error message. In these scenarios the page works fine for "Visitors": If I place both the assemblies in GAC If I give Everyone read permission to AjaxControlToolkit.dll (in bin) Am I missing something here?
