  This is just a question of curiosity. Why cannot I use two keyboards at the same time in Windows? For example, typing in Notepad using 2 keyboards in real parallel mode. what prevents Windows from accommodating such a feature? Is there any multitasking or parallel processing OS that can do it?

  I have XPS9100 DELL desktop computer awakes out of the sleep mode without me prompting it. I have 64 bit OS Before I go to sleep I put that in sleep mode but in the morning I see its awake and I try every setting possible but could not help I have tried this command and here is what I got and I am not sure what to do. • Disadvantages of not having a swap partition

  I recently installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop. Due to space constraint of the SSD, I did not set a swap partition for the OS, and I have 1.5GB of RAM. There's a warning during installation, but I think it's not a big deal since everything went smoothly. For the long term, would there be any drawbacks of not having a swap partition?

I tried with different machine but I obtained every time time the same error: svn: OPTIONS of 'http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/trunk': could not connect to server (http://svn.macports.org) I can't understand the problem, the address is http so I think that is a problem of subversion with http address (the repository is the one for Macport for MAC OS but I think that the problem is not about the repository but is a subversion problem)

  I have an OS X box running iTunes on it. I play music with iTunes connected to an Apple TV. In iTunes I can select Apple TV as the output sound device. Am I able to do that with any other application? Apple TV does not show up as a seperate device in System Preferences. I'd like to browse and play YouTube videos in my computer and stream their sound to Apple TV.

  Is there any advantage to use a linux machine to develop instead of Windows? Everyone at work tells me to switch to Linux, since I'm developing hard-core on linux anyway. I manage 40 servers, and do everything from DB to data-backend to developing web services. I don't find anything wrong with Putty. I"m just too lazy to install another OS... What do you guys think?

  I was running IB without any problems when it hanged when I was trying to modify the properties of a tableview. I couldn't get it to forcequit as my whole OS hanged and I had to do a hard reboot. Since then I couldn't get it to run at all, everytime I start it, it just hangs and gives me the option to ForceQuit. I've reinstalled Xcode+IB, but it's still the same. Help? Thanks, Teja

  In order to create some special routes for debugging I used the following command on my linux server: sudo route add -net 10.78.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0 gw 10.101.1.1 which works, and sets up the routes I need. But when I run the same command on my Mac I get: route: bad address: netmask I'm guessing that the version of route that is included in OS X requires a different format but I'm at a loss to figure it out.

  I have a laptop with an 80GB SSD and 500GB HDD. I currently have Windows installed on the SSD, and a 400GB data partition for Windows on the HDD. But whenever I restart my system sound settings are reset to default and I am unable to hear any sound. To hear sound I need to change some sliders in system configuration every time. I can access it via my browser by doing localhost:3000 I have a virtual machine using Virtual Box running a windows XP. If I try to access using localhost:3000, it fails. Same thing if I use the ip of the Mac machine. The virtual machine has access to the internet. How can I access my local server in my virtual machine?
