  • ASP.Net MVC + Live validation - how come the flagged text are all over the place?

    How can I replace a string with another string, within a given text file. Do I just loop through readline() and run the replacement while saving out to a new file? Or is there a better way? I'm thinking that I could read the whole thing into memory, but I'm looking for a more elegant solution... Thanks in advance

    If I want to validate that a text box contains an integer greater than or equal to zero. Do I need to use TWO asp:CompareValidator controls: one with a DataTypeCheck operator and one with a GreaterThanEqual operator? Or is the datatype operator redundant? Can I just use a single validator with the GreaterThanEqual operator (and the type set to Integer)?

    I use this snippet to prevent the user from accidentally navigating away from the editing page: var warning = false; window.onbeforeunload = function() { if (warning) { return ''; } } Now I want to set the variable warning to be true if any of the textarea or input type="text" has been modified, I want to use the onkeyup event such as in: document.getElementById('textarea_id').onkeyup = function() { warning = true; } But it's not working. Don't quite want to use jQuery on this. Any insights?

  • PHP's DOMXPath is stripping out my tags inside the matched text.

    I asked this question yesterday, and at the time it was just what I needed, but while working with some live data I discovered that is wasn't quite doing what I expected. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2571232/parse-html-with-phps-html-domdocument I gets the data from the HTML page, but then it also strips out all the HTML tags inside the captured block of text, which isn't what I want. (I might wan't to take some of the tags out, but not all, and this can be done later)

It is possible to define an own view to show inside the spinner row? I would suspect it being similar to a custom List row. I simply want to show an individual icon left from the spinner text for each item in the list.

    Hi, I want to be able to search a list of full names. The autocomplete demos I have seen have all searched from the beginning. Thats no good as I want matches on surname too. I can live without full text search if it at least follows word boundaries. Sorta like the tag search here. Hows that done? Cheers
