  • How to provide an inline model field with a queryset choices without losing field value for inline r

    - by Judith Boonstra
    The code displayed below is providing the choices I need for the app field, and the choices I need for the attr field when using Admin. I am having a problem with the attr field on the inline form for already saved records. The attr selected for these saved does show in small print above the field, but not within the field itself. # MODELS: Class Vocab(models.Model): entity = models.Charfield, max_length = 40, unique = True) Class App(models.Model): name = models.ForeignKey(Vocab, related_name = 'vocab_appname', unique = True) app = SelfForeignKey('self, verbose_name = 'parent', blank = True, null = True) attr = models.ManyToManyField(Vocab, related_name = 'vocab_appattr', through ='AppAttr' def parqs(self): a method that provides a queryset consisting of available apps from vocab, excluding self and any apps within the current app's dependent line. def attrqs(self): a method that provides a queryset consisting of available attr from vocab excluding those already selected by current app, 2) those already selected by any apps within the current app's parent line, and 3) those selected by any apps within the current app's dependent line. What my requirement is, i wish to load user names from DB in dataset, convert it to JSON format and store it in memory or using jQuery data for use while a user is browsing my site, i.e for a session. This way I can use autocomplete or my own code to display data to user. Can anyone help me design such a scenario?

  • Unique Constraint At Data Level in GAE

    - by Ngu Soon Hui
    It seems that the unique constraint is not natively supported in GAE, although one can enforce unique check before putting an object to store. But that was in January 2009, what about now? Can I specify unique constraint on a column during schema creation? i.e. class Account(db.Model): name = db.StringProperty() email = db.StringProperty() as unique # something like this @classmethod def create(cls, name, email): a = Account(name=name, email=email) a.put() return a

  • Type mismatch: cannot convert from ArrayList<Data> to MyCollection

    - by Tommy
    I've read similar questions here but I'm still a little confused. MyCollection extends ArrayList<MyClass> MyClass implements Data yet this gives me the "cannot convert from ArrayList to MyCollection" MyCollection mycollection = somehandler.getCollection(); where getCollection looks like this public ArrayList<Data> getCollection() So my assumptions are obviously wrong. How can I make this work like I would like it to

  • YQL Open Data Table for Wikipedia

    - by Rob Young
    Has anyone written a YQL open data table for accessing Wikipedia? I've had a hunt around the internet and found mention of people using YQL for extracting various bits of information from Wikipedia pages such as microformats, links or content but I haven't been able to find an open data table that ties it all together.

  • K-nearest neighbour with closed-loop dimensions

    - by Tomas
    Hi, I've got a K-nearest neighbour problem where some of the dimensions are closed loops. For example one is 'time of day' and I'm matching for similarity so 'very early morning' is close to 'late evening', you can't just make it a linear scale from 'very early morning' at one end to 'late evening' at the other. How can I represent this in the data model? Is there an established way to handle this or a way to work around it?

  • Get Xml Data Cross-Domain with JQuery

    - by Dänu
    Hey guys, is there a way to load XML Data Cross-Domain with JQuery (= client side)? $.get('http://otherdomain.com/data.xml', function(xml) { } The above doesn't work - do I have to rely on JSONP, or is there a way to load XML?

  • Paginating data, has to be a better way

    - by John Tyler
    I've read like 10 or so "tutorials", and they all involve the same thing: Pull a count of the data set Pull the relevant data set (LIMIT, OFFSET) IE: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table WHERE something = ? SELECT * FROM table WHERE something =? LIMIT ? offset ?` Two very similar queries, no? There has to be a better way to do this, my dataset is 600,000+ rows and already sluggish (results are determined by over 30 where clauses, and vary from user to user, but are properly indexed of course).

  • "OR" Operator must be placed at end of previous line? (unexpected tOROP)

    - by akonsu
    I am running Ruby 1.9. This is a valid syntax: items = (data['DELETE'] || data['delete'] || data['GET'] || data['get'] || data['POST'] || data['post']) But this gives me an error: items = (data['DELETE'] || data['delete'] || data['GET'] || data['get'] || data['POST'] || data['post']) t.rb:8: syntax error, unexpected tOROP, expecting ')' || data['GET'] || data['get'] |... ^ Why?!

  • how do i use a .dat file as a model for an entity in minecraft?

    - by user1835502
    the entity does not have to do anything, just stand there like a statue, or it doesn't have to be an entity at all, just so the .dat file renders in minecraft i saw this http://pastebin.com/jP4diLJ9 in a java file that came with a .exe, and in the .exe you can choose one of the .dat files and it will show you it as a model, i also asked on minecraft forums and someone said it was possible but i have no idea how maybe has something to do with this try { FileOutputStream fileoutputstream = new FileOutputStream("./Models/"+id+".dat"); fileoutputstream.write(b, 0, b.length); fileoutputstream.close(); } catch(Throwable _ex) {} or if(i 0) {//grabs all models System.out.println("Sending request for Model: "+i); addRequest( 7, i); byte b[] = pack.unpack(download().buffer); if(pack.unpacked) { savemodel(i,b); System.out.println("Model Saved"); }else{ System.out.println("Model Grabbing Complete"); break;

  • Tracking down data load performance issues in SSIS package

    - by SteveC
    Are there any ways to determine what the differences in databases are that affect a SSIS package load performance ? I've got a package which loads and does various bits of processing on ~100k records on my laptop database in about 5 minutes Try the same package and same data on the test server, which is a reasonable box in both CPU and memory, and it's still running ... about 1 hour so far :-( Checked the package with a small set of data, and it ran through Ok

  • transfer data from Excel to SQL Server

    - by Jason
    I have an Excel Spreadsheet that contains all my data that I need to put into an SQL Server database. I am fairly new o ASP.NET and have never had to export from Excel to SQL Server before. My Excel spreadsheets looks like this Trade Heading - ArtID - BusinessName - AdStyleCode - Address - Suburb In SQL Server I have created a table named "Listings" which is in this format intListingID - intCategoryID - BusinessName - ArtID - intAdCode -Address - Suburb What would be the best way to export the data from Excel and then import it into SQLServer 2005. Thanks...

  • Displaying data from mutliple arrays with codeigniter

    - by Craig Ward
    I am trying to display results from a database where the results are contained in three tables. How do I echo out the results? $p- works, but $img- or $branch- doesn't. What am I doing wrong? Example code is below Sample controller: $p_id = $this-uri-segment(3); $this-load-model('One_model'); $data['prop'] = $this-One_model-get_details($p_id); $data['img'] = $this-One-get_images($p_id); $this-load-model('Two_model'); $data['branch'] = $this-Two_model-get_details($p_id); $this-load-view('a_test_view', $data); A Sample View <?php foreach ($property as $p):?> <p><?php echo $p->SUMMARY; ?></p> <p>We have <?php echo "$img->num_photos"; ?> photos</p> <p>Branch is <?php echo $branch->name; ?>. Telephone <?php echo $branch->tel; ?></p> <ul> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE1; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE2; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE3; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE4; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE5; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE6; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE7; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE8; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE9; ?></li> <li><?php echo $p->FEATURE10; ?></li> </ul> <?php endforeach; ?>

  • minLength data validation is not working with Auth component for CakePHP

    - by grokker
    Let's say I have a user registration and I'm using the Auth component (/user/register is allowed of course). The problem is if I need to set a minLength validation rule in the model, it doesn't work since the Auth component hashes the password therefore it's always more than my minlength password and it passes even if it's blank. How do I fix this issue? Thanks in advance!
