• Activate a (COM Interop based) ActiveX contol using registration free com

  I have a (COM Interop based) ActiveX contol that I am trying to use with registration free com. When the control loads the control is inactive (does not responds to events, control not fully rendered etc). After much search I discovered that COM objects using reg-free-com use the miscStatus attribute to set the initial state to get correctly activated. I know how to use it with a comClass which corresponds to a native COM Object. 1) What is the equivalent of the following for clrClass element which corresponds to a COM-interop object? <comClass clsid="{qqqqqqqq-wwww-eeee-rrrr-00C0F0283628}" tlbid="{xxxxxxxx-yyyy-zzzz-aaaa-0000F8754DA1}" threadingModel="Both" progid="SomeCompany.SomeOleControl" description="Some ActiveX Control" miscStatus="recomposeonresize,insideout,activatewhenvisible,nouiactivate" > 2) The COM client I am using is Visual FoxPro. • OpenGL suppresses exceptions in MFC dialog-based application

  Hello. I have an MFC-driven dialog-based application created with MSVS2005. Here is my problem step by step. I have button on my dialog and corresponding click-handler with code like this: int* i = 0; *i = 3; I'm running debug version of program and when I click on the button, Visual Studio catches focus and alerts "Access violation writing location" exception, program cannot recover from the error and all I can do is to stop debugging. And this is the right behavior. Well now the strange things begin to happen: all initialization is fine, there are no errors in OnInitDialog(), but when I click the button... no exception is thrown. Nothing happens. At all. If I set a break-point at the *i = 3; and press F11 on it, the handler-function halts immediately and focus is returned to the application, which continue to work well. I can click button again and the same thing will happen. It seems like someone had handled occurred exception of access violation and silently returned execution into main application message-receiving cycle. If I comment the line wglMakeCurrent(DC, hrc);, all works fine as before, exception is thrown and Visual Studio catches it and shows window with error message and program must be terminated afterwards. I experience this problem under Windows 7 64-bit, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 with latest drivers (of 11.01.2010) available at website installed. My colleague has Windows Vista 32-bit and has no such problem - exception is thrown and application crashes in both cases. • How to increment counters based on a printed array

  I managed to developed a simple board of 5x5 using random numbers and array. Big achievement for someone like me! :) Now I have to increment the counters depending on the frequency of the numbers. If the value within 0-49 is printed..then nCounter++ If the value within 50-75 is printed..then pCounter++ something like that. The problem is that I don't know how to increase the counters based on the printed board. • custom cell based on row index iphone

  I'm wondering if it is possible to add cell content to a uitableview based on the row index? For example if it is the first cell (row 0) I want to add an image and text. If it is the second row I would like to add a button. For all other rows I would like to just add a line of text. I tried using indexPath.row. • Set a specific stylesheet based on session variable in javascript

  I have an option for a user to select his/her own theme while logged into the system and this theme is set in a MYSQL Database and called each time the user logs in, this is called by: <?php $_SESSION['SESS_THEME_NAME']; ?> Now, I had this working in a PHP file but I need it to work in Javascript instead unfortunately. And I need some help. I looked at the code using the developers tools on Google Chrome and looks like the above code is not resolving within the javascript file. Which makes sense because you can't access session variables within a javascript file (as I found by searching Google.) The code is basically supposed to set the specific stylesheet based on the value extracted from the MYSQL database. So if the database says Default the script needs to tell the webpage to use the default.css file. And so on and so forth. • What is the best practice to segment c#.net projects based on a single base project

  Honestly, I can't word my question any better without describing it. I have a base project (with all its glory, dlls, resources etc) which is a CMS. I need to use this project as a base for othe custom bake projects. This base project is to be maintained and updated among all custom bake projects. I use subversion (Collabnet and Tortise SVN) I have two questions: 1 - Can I use subversion to share the base project among other projects What I mean here is can I "Checkout" the base project into another "Checked Out" project and have both update and commit seperatley. So, to paint a picture, let's say I am working on a custom project and I modify the core/base prject in some way (which I know will suit the others) can I then commit those changes and upon doing so when I update the base project in the other "Checked out" resources will it pull the changes? In short, I would like not to have to manually deploy updated core files whenever I make changes into each seperate project. 2 - If I create a custom file (let's say an webcontrol or aspx page etc) can I have it compile seperatley from the base project Another tricky one to explain. When I publish my web application it creates DLLs based on the namespaces of projects attached to it. So I may have a number of DLLs including the "Website's" namespace DLL, which could simply be website. I want to be able to make a seperate, custom, control which does not compile into those DLLs as the custom files should not rely on those DLLS to run. Is it as simple to set a seperate namespace for those files like CustomFiles.ProjectName for example? Think of the whole idea as adding modules to the .NET project, I don't want the module's code in any of the core DLLs but I do need for module to be able to access the core dlls. (There is no need for the core project to access the module code as it should be one way only in theory, though I reckon it woould not be possible anyway without using JSON/SOAP or something like that, maybe I am wrong.) I want to create a pluggable environment much like that of Joomla/Wordpress as since PHP generally doesn't have to be compiled first I see this is the reason why all this is possible/easy. The idea is to allow pluggable themes, modules etc etc. (I haven't tried simply adding .NET themes after compile/publish but I am assuming this is possible anyway? OR does the compiler need to reference items in the files?)

• R: Plotting a graph with different colors of points based on advanced criteria

  What I would like to do is a plot (using ggplot), where the x axis represent years which have a different colour for the last three years in the plot than the rest. The last three years should also meet a certain criteria and based on this the last three years can either be red or green. The criteria is that the mean of the last three years should be less (making it green) or more (making it red) than the 66%-percentile of the remaining years. The only thing it does seem to do is that it turns the years before 2008 into one level and those after into another one and base the point colour off these two levels. Since I don’t want this year to be stationary either, I made another tiny function: fun3 <- function(x) { df <- subset(x, Year==(max(Year)-2)) df$Year } So the previous code would have the same effect as: geom_point(size=3, aes(colour=ifelse(df1$Year<fun3(df1), "black","red"))) But it still does not care about my colours. Why does it make the years into levels? And how come an ifelse function doesn’t work within another one in this case? How would it be possible to the arguments to do what I like? I realise this might be a bit messy, asking for a lot at the same time, but I hope my description is pretty clear. It would be helpful if someone could at least point me in the right direction. I tried to put the code for the plot into a function as well so I wouldn’t have to change the data frame at all functions within the plot, but I can’t get it to work. Thank you!

• Is there an AIR native extension to use GameCenter APIs for turn-based games?

  I'm planning a turn based game using the iOS 5 GameCenter (GameKit) turn-based functions. Ideally I would program the game with AIR (I'm a Flash dev), but so far I can't seem to find any already available native extension that offers that (only basic GameCenter functions), so my questions are: Does anyone know if that already exists? And secondly how complex a task would it be to create an extension that does that? Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of etc.? ** UPDATE ** There does not seem a solution to the above from Adobe. For anyone who is interested check out the Adobe Gaming SDK. It contains a Game Center ANE which I've read contains options for multiplayer but not turn-based multiplayer, at least it's a start. Comes a bit late for me as I've already learned Obj-c!

  So, I have VS 2010 installed and am in the process of modifying my MSBuild script for our TeamCity build integration. Everything is working great with one exception. How can I tell MSBuild that I want to apply the Web.conifg transform files that I've created when I publish the build... I have the following which produces the compiled web site but, it outputs a Web.config, Web.Debug.config and, Web.Release.config files (All 3) to the compiled output directory.   Hi all, i know it's been asked before but i cant get it to run and i'm out of things to try. So i want to colorize a row in a Grid if its value is not 1 - i use a custom formatter for this. The formatter itself works, thats not the problem. I've tried multple ways I've found so far on the web - adding a class, directly adding css code, using setRowData, using setCell....   I've been working on a little Silverlight utility which calls a Silverlight web service. It works from my dev machine (XPsp2). I've tried publishing it to a 2008 R2 IIS 7.5 server and it doesn't work when trying to contact the web service. So I've tried using the WcfTestClient to connect to the web service. • Restlet vs Spring MVC for Restful web service

  I'm researching how best to create a Restful web service on Google app engine. My end goal is to have an Android application call a web service on GAE to post and get data. At this point I not sure what the best approach is. What I know at this point is Spring MVC 3 provide the ability to create web service but it does not provide a full implementation of JAX-RS. I also have read a few blog that talk about how Spring and Restlet can be integrated together. On the other side I have read that I could only use Restlet in GAE. I would also like provide a light web interface for users to view their posted data So my questions are the following. 1. Should I just use Restlet. 2. Should I just use Spring MVC to provide my Restful web service. 3. Should I use Spring and Restlet together. At this point I think I should invest my time in Restlet because that seems to be the best approach for calling web services in Android. I'm also debating if Spring MVC is just over kill. Any thoughts would be helpful.

• IIS: No Session being handed out, but only in production

  I've reproduced this in a simple project - details below. It's a WCF service in ASP.NET compatibility mode. What I'm seeing is that when run on the dev machine (Win7), a HTTP session id is available inside the service operation (HttpContext.Current.Session is non-null). But when deployed to the server (Win2k8R2), I get "No session". On both machines the app is configured to use the classic app pool, and the app pools themselves are configured identically as far as I can tell. The only differences I can discern between the two applications is that on the dev box, under "Handler Mappings", ISAPI-dll is disabled (not on the server), and on the server there's a spurious handler called "AboMapperCustom-7105160" (does not exist on the dev box). What should I be looking at next? Am I missing something head-slappingly simple?   Hello i am trying to create a web application that will allow users to upload files online, i am using gwt while using hibernate for database communication, i am able to upload file to a server , and store them on the server. but what i want is to associate the files with a user. i want the user to be able to create folders and store a file in sub folders. my logic was to use the composite pattern to store folders and fileLocations with a user but i am am finding it difficult to implement this so i can show the files and folders within a gwt tree. what would be the best way to implement a hierarchy of folders and information of the location of a file so it could be displayed in a gwt tree? what i did have was a User would hold a reference to a root folder and then each sub folder could hold folders or fileLocations. i used the composite pattern to implement the file hierarchy, but when i want to display a the contents of a folder i need a for loop for each list. so i could a folder within a folder within a folder that would need 3 for loops to show the contents of my folders. What is the best way to implement this file management system. so what do you guys think?

It runs on page load and periodically using setInterval(). It's running correctly before the async postback is initiated, but it stops running during the async postback, and doesn't run again until after the async postback completes. I have an UpdatePanel with a button to trigger an async postback, which executes the long-running task. I also have an instance of an AJAX WCF Web service that is working correctly to fetch data and present it on the page but, like I said, it doesn't fetch and present the data until after the async postback completes. During the async postback, the long-running task sends updates from the page to the web service. The problem is that I can debug and step through the web service and see that the status updates are correctly set, but the updates aren't retrieved by the client script until the async postback completes. It seems the Script Manager is busy executing the async postback, so it doesn't run my other JavaScript via setInterval() until the postback completes. Is there a way to get the Script Manager, or otherwise, to run the script to fetch data from the WCF web service during the async postback? I've tried various methods of using the PageRequestManager to run the script on the client-side BeginRequest event for the async postback, but it runs the script, then stops processing the code that should be running via setInterval() while the page request executes.

From looking at all the errors guessing out of the "d" paramter it seems to focus on a single usercontrol on my website. in this control i change the visiblity of div's + text in the usercontrol OnPreRender function. protected override void OnPreRender(EventArgs e) { base.OnPreRender(e); PreparePage(); } Can the errors be related to the usercontrol behavioral? thanks!

• Getting parameters values blank and null when using custom wsdl in axis2

  Hi All, I am using axis2 for my web services creation. I want to user my own wsdl file instead of using generated wsdl file. When I am placing my own wsdl file in META-INF directory and deploying my web services they are deploying successfully. But the problem is when i try to test these web service using soapui it throwing null pointer exception.
