• How do I stop Chrome from yellowing my site's input boxes?

  Among other text and visual aids on a form submission, post-validation, I'm coloring my input boxes red to signify the interactive area needing attention. On Chrome (and for Google Toolbar users) the auto-fill feature re-colors my input forms yellow. Here's the complex issue: I want auto-complete allowed on my forms, as it speeds users logging in. I am going to check into the ability to turn the autocomplete attribute to off if/when there's an error triggered, but it is a complex bit of coding to programmatically turn off the auto-complete for the single effected input on a page. This, to put it simply, would be a major headache. So to try to avoid that issue, is there any simpler method of stopping Chrome from re-coloring the input boxes? [edit] I tried the !important suggestion below and it had no effect. I have not yet checked Google Toolbar to see if the !important attribute woudl work for that. As far as I can tell, there isn't any means other than using the autocomplete attribute (which does appear to work).

  Well, I don't know if thats what I want. But here is my problem: In case of some error I am logging the FILE, CLASS, FUNCTION and LINE in a file. For that I am doing something like: myLog('['. __FILE__ . ']' . '[' . __CLASS__ . ']' . '[' . __FUNCTION__ . ']' . '[' . __LINE__ . ']'); The problem is everywhere I've to repeat that code in the parameter. and If I want to change the format, I've to change everywhere. How can I have something like: myLog(LOG_MSG_FORMAT); With PHP define it is not possible since it will give my the LINE number of the place where that definition is, not where the definition is getting used. Any solution to this is welcome. I am not bitchy about having C like functionality of #def.

• LNK1104: cannot open file 'kernel32.lib'

  I Had VS2010 installed but found that intellisense wasn't working. I looked on the web and found that I wasn't the only one who had that issue. So, I installed VS2008 and everything was fine. Then I decided to clean up my computer and removed VS2010 and immediately started getting this error on my programs (new and old). Even a simple test program that has one cout command. I tried repairing VS2008 and that didn't work so I tried to uninstall and then reinstall and still I am getting the same problem. I have looked online for this issue and though I have found a lot of other people are experiencing this issue it is not the same. They are having problems with other external references, not the ones that should automatically be included like kernel32 and lib32 etc. I also tried the solution that worked for some people with their other references and I included the path (with and without quotes) to my kernel32 directory but still I get the same problem, or in some instances I will get LNK1104: cannot open file 'C:\WINDOWS\system32.obj' with and without quotes in the linker config. Can anyone please help?

• Web service failing when installed in seperate project from the website...

  I am totally new to web services and cannot get mine to work. My setup is on VS 2008 using IIS. I have one solution file with 3 projects in it: website, code, and services. If I put my webservice into my website and call it locally then it will work fine (it's just a hello world web service). I want to put the service into a different location for use from multiple sites. I don't know what I'm doing wrong - i've read so much conflicting info regarding disco files, access files, silverlight, flash, java, etc. I just looking for quick simple steps to create a web service that I can access from javascript and deploy to a seperate website. End goal is to have functionality in webservices so that website will call via JS and run much smoother in the loading time and async calls. Do I need to create a disco file? Do I need to configure security? -- I know this is prob best, i'm just looking to get it working at all. Do I need to allow cross browser access on IIS or on my hosted server? Are there any quick reference websites that you can recommend? Should I be using WCF as new technology? - I saw this on MSDN but seems to be more for windows apps then web apps. I'm not getting any specific error codes. I have installed the firefox debugging tools (firebug) and I can see what the headers are but I don't know how to interpret them and there is no response being passed back. Any help is appreciated!!!

When I'm using the class, after I run some methods on it, I do some checks to make sure that the status is what I expect it to be. For instance, after calling some methods, I expect the status to be MEANINGFUL_STATUS_NAME. $objInstance->method1(); $objInstance->method2(); if ( $objInstance->status !== class::MEANINGFUL_STATUS_NAME ) { throw new Exception("Status is wrong, should not be " . class::MEANINGFUL_STATUS_NAME . "."); } However, this gives me the exception message "Status is wrong, should not be 2" when what I really want to see is "Status is wrong, should not be MEANINGFUL_STATUS_NAME" So I've lost the meaningfulness of the constant name. I was thinking of making an 'translation table' array, so I can take the constant values and translate them back into their name, but this seems cumbersome. How should I translate this back, so I get an error message that gives me a better idea of what went wrong?

  The XFBML version of the Facebook Registration plugin only loads HTTPS. I need it to load HTTP so my form does not call a security error mismatch between domains. I wrote this code to get the SRC and rewrite it with out HTTPS It works fine on the first load, however on Chrome and Safari it only loads the first time and on HARD refreshes. It does not load on standard reloads or by pressing "enter" on the address bar. The system already has a single SSD (sdb) and a pair of HDDs (sd{a,c}) in a RAID 1 array from where it boots. It is as if the new SSD assumes one of the devices of the RAID array. Is it? I'm trying to generate a suitable build file for ant - using eclipses built-in export-ant buildfile feature as a starting block.   I have a couple UIViewControllers that I am trying to access an array inside my AppDelegate. When I use an IBAction UIButton and in that method I access my AppDelegate my program dies silently. Nothing in output or the debugger, it just stops. If I run it several times I can see that it is failing to access the array properly.   I have been following a tutorial which is showing me how to create an rssfeed reader, I come to the end of the tutorial; and the feed is not displaying in the listView. • Why Do I See the "In Recovery" Msg, and How Can I Prevent it?

  The project I'm working on creates a local copy of the SQL Server database for each SVN branch you work on. We're running SQL Server 2008 Express with Advanced Services on our local machine to host it. When we create a new branch, the build script will create a new database with the ID of that branch, creates the schema objects, and copies over a selection of data from the production shadow server. After the database is created, it, or other databases on the local machine, will often go into "In Recovery" mode for several minutes. After several refreshes it comes up and is happy, but will occasionally go back into "In Recovery" mode. The database is created in simple recovery mode. The file names aren't specified, so it uses default paths for files. The size of the database after loading data is ~400 megs. It is running in SQL Server 2005 compatibility mode. The command that creates the database is: sqlcmd -S $(DBServer) -Q "IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT [name] FROM sysdatabases WHERE [name] = '$(DBName)') BEGIN CREATE DATABASE [$(DBName)]; print 'Created $(DBName)'; END" ...where $(DBName) and $(DBServer) are MSBuild parameters. I got a nice clean log file this morning. When I turned on my computer it starts all five databases. However, two of them show transactions being rolled forward and backwards. In the SAP BW system (in transaction SM59), I have created, tested and activated the relevant RFC connections.   Hi, I'm having an issue I cannot track down and I have looked through the forums and not found anything that sheds any light. I have a fresh install of a Server 2008 R2 Web that I am trying to load an application I created and tested on a Windows 7 machine running IIS 7.5 using ASP.NET 4.0. Everything works fine on the dev machine.
