  • How to trigger an event ONLY if both dropdowns are selected?

    I have a dropdown select list on my page of class="TypeFilter". I have a jQuery event that fires when a value in that list is selected. $(".TypeFilter").change(function() { // Extract value from TypeFilter and update page accordingly )); I now have to add another list to the page, and I want to implement functionality which will prevent the .change(function() from running unless both are selected. In both lists the first option in the list is some text instructing the user to select one of the items, so I was thinking of just writing some logic to test that both lists have a selected index greater than 0. I think this is a touch unclean though, especially considering that other pages that have a TypeFilter use the same logic. Is there any nifty functionality in jQuery that can do this?

    I'd like get far next value for STL list iterator but it doesn't implement operator+, vector has it though. Why and how can I get the value where I want? I think I can do that if I call operator++ several times, but isn't that a little bit dirty? What I want to do is the following: list<int> l; ...omitted... list<int>::iterator itr = l.begin() + 3; // but, list iterator does not have // operator+ What is the best solution for what I want?

    I'm having a problem where one Dictionary in my project is either not serializing or not deserializing. After deserializing, the data I serialized is simply not in the object.     Trying to figure out how to programmatically access the web pages in the application. Just something simple like a list of them would be awesome. I know I can create a list but I was wondering if there was something that could 'look' at the pages and add a new one to the list if you make a new page for the application. Example with 7 pages: Error Default Login Content Users ContactUs Admin I am half awake so I may be a little unclear. Maybe puting it all in a single question will be easier. How do you autogenerate a list of all webpages in your current application?

  • MySQL UPDATE WHERE IN for each listed value separately?

    Hi, I've got the following type of SQL: UPDATE photo AS f LEFT JOIN car AS c ON f.car_id=c.car_id SET f.photo_status=1 , c.photo_count=c.photo_count+1 WHERE f.photo_id IN ($ids) Basically, two tables (car & photo) are related. The list in $ids contains unique photo ids, such as (34, 87, 98, 12). With the query, I'm setting the status of each photo in that list to "1" in the photo table and simultaneously incrementing the photo count in the car table for the car at hand. It works but there's one snag: Because the list can contain multiple photo ids that relate to the same car, the photo count only ever gets incremented once. If the list had 10 photos associated with the same car, photo_count would become 1 .... whereas I'd like to increment it to 10. Is there a way to make the incrementation occur for each photo individually through the join, as opposed to MySQL overthinking it for me? I hope the above makes sense. Thanks.

    hi, I'm passing data to a ListView to display some restaurant names. Now when clicking on an item I'd like to start another activity to display more restaurant data. I'm not sure about how to do it. Shall I pass all the restaurant data in a bundle through the intent object? Or shall I just pass the restaurant id and get the data in the other activity? In that case, how can I access my restaurantList from the other activity? In any case, how can I get data from the restaurant I clicked on (the view only contains the name)? Any help, pointers welcome!     Hello I am trying to make a list of things which can be difficult/surprising to someone who is changing language from PHP to Python. so far i have rather short list: forget require / include, learn import (this was most difficult to me - to understand package - module - class - object hierarchy and its mapping to filesystem) you can't just upload file on server to have webpage (-mod_python, wsgi etc) learn the python way for use variable class names (new $class() vs import + getattr) / operator in python 2.x and all float-related horrors those were difficult to me, it takes few days before mind adapts a new paradigm after i found that there is few other areas which could be challenging for someone with (too) many years of php: everything is an object you have to live with exceptions array vs list, set, dictionary, tuple ... learn (effective) list comprehensions learn generators any other ideas / personal experiences ?

If yes, please explain the difference in the way the elements will be stored in the table?

    Is it possible to use Generics when passing a class to a java function? I was hoping to do something like this: public static class DoStuff { public <T extends Class<List>> void doStuffToList(T className) { System.out.println(className); } public void test() { doStuffToList(List.class); // compiles doStuffToList(ArrayList.class); // compiler error (undesired behaviour) doStuffToList(Integer.class); // compiler error (desired behaviour) } } Ideally the List.class and ArrayList.class lines would work fine, but the Integer.class line would cause a compile error. I could use Class as my type instead of T extends Class<List> but then I won't catch the Integer.class case above.

I have a linq to entity framework 4 query in it's simplest form: List = List.Where(f => f.Value.ToString().ToLowerInvariant().Contains(filter.ToLowerInvariant())); It's a query against an Entity Framework DbContext and I'm having trouble seeing why it works for something like: List searching for 001 yields no results against the following list Test001 Test002 Test003 Test004 However any other search yields results (Such as t00 or Test) I was hoping to figure out a way to see the resulting sql but it appears that I need Intellitrace, which I don't currently have or possibly stepping through the query itself and see each iteration build itself.

    b'h i will be programmatically importing a text file into a table. i have saved the import steps. i will use this: DoCmd.TransferText(TransferType, SpecificationName, TableName, FileName, HasFieldNames, HTMLTableName, CodePage) to do the import. this is what SpecificationName means: Specification Name The specification name for the set of options that determines how a text file is imported, exported, or linked. For a fixed-width text file, you must either specify a specification name or use a schema.ini file, which should be stored in the same directory as the imported, linked, or exported text file. i do need a specific specification; however i do not know how to specify one. when i manually imported a table, i did save the specifications for my import, however i do not know how to call this in the TransferText. does anyone know how to specify SpecificationName ?

  • Radio button is not funtioning

    I'm having problem with my radio button in my gridview. I want to select any row one by one so that I can perform UPDATE, DELETE, and DISPLAY the row. When I select the button, the page will be refreshed and the button I selected before is not selected anymore. So I can't click any menu to update, delete or display the row. I noticed this is happening when I set the Autopostback = "True". How can I solve it? Any idea?     Say I am making a game and have a base Buff class. I may also have a subclass named ThornsBuff which subscribes to the Player class's Damaged event. The Player may have a list of Buffs and one of them may be the ThornsBuff. For example: Test Class Player player = new Player(); player.ActiveBuffs.Add(new ThornsBuff(player)); ThornsBuff Class public ThornsBuff(Player player) { player.DamageTaken += player_DamageTaken; } private void player_DamageTaken(MessagePlayerDamaged m) { m.Assailant.Stats.Health -= (int)(m.DamageAmount * .25); } This is all to illustrate an example. If I were to remove the buff from the list, the event is not detached. Even though the player no longer has the buff, the event is still executed as if he did. Now, I could have a Dispel method to unregister the event, but that forces the developer to call Dispel in addition to removing the Buff from the list. What if they forget, increased coupling, etc. What I don't understand is why the event doesn't detatch itself automatically when the Buff is removed from the list. The Buff only existed in the list and that is its one reference. After it is removed shouldn't the event be detached? I tried adding the detaching code to the finalizer of the Buff but that didn't fix it either. The event is still running even after it has 0 references. I suppose it is because the garbage collector had not run yet? Is there any way to make it automatic and instant so that when the object has no references all its events are unregisted? Thanks.
