  • determine from where the function being called in php

    I have one function on my code. say its xyz(). This function is being called from different files of my project. Is there any way than I can get from where the function is being called. I want below infromation: File name from where its called. Line number of that file. if call is from inside the function then that function name. Class name Class method name. I know about use of magic constants like FILE and all that. but i don't want to pass all that in function call. like below: xyz('msg',__FILE__,__CLASS__); is there any way that i have to pass just my error related data only. and it will find the above details from where the function is called. let me know if anything is not clear.

But if I look in PHPMyAdmin, I see the accents correctly. What's happening?

Unfortunately I am unable to get the API to work.     Hi, I'm making a simple cms system for a site I'm making for non-tech users to edit... So far so good but when I try and run this code I keep getting: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''pages' ORDER BY 'pages'.'pageOrder' ASC LIMIT 0 , 30' at line 1 By the error it looks like a problem with the order by section and indeed it works without it... $sql = "SELECT * FROM 'pages' ORDER BY 'pages'.'pageOrder' ASC LIMIT 0 , 30"; $result = mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error()); Now I know there is nothing wrong with the code because originally I wrote my own SQL but then after it failed I robbed some from phpmyadmin and it still gives the error but it works in phpmyadmin... I'm really at my wits end with this, help is very much appreciated thank you...

    hi as my client needs, I developed a code to login via cURl. login to www.web1.com and store cookies in cookie.txt go to www.web2.com and browse a page using that cookie.txt no problem with www.web2.com so when i want to do this with www.web3.com, the problem appears. the www.web3.com uses session and cookies itself and I have to gather and use them. it means I should have tow series of cookies, first those from www.web1.com , and second those from www.web3.com , then request the www.web3.com/somepage how I can do that?

  • PHP imap_search not detecting all messages in gmail inbox

    When I run a very simple imap_search on my GMail inbox, the search returns less messages than it should. Here is the script that anyone with a GMail account can run. $host = '{imap.gmail.com:993/imap/ssl}'; $user = 'foo'; $pass = 'bar'; $imapStream = imap_open($host,$user,$pass) or die(imap_last_error()); $messages = imap_search($imapStream,"ALL"); echo count($messages); imap_close($imapStream); This returns 39 messages. But, I've got 100 messages in my inbox, some in conversations, some forwarded from another account (SquirrelMail, FWIW). Can anyone duplicate these results, and/or tell me what's going on?     I am trying to crop a large image to make thumbnails. But I can't get WideImage to save the file. I've tried the following: 1st method: $img = WideImage::load('../files/' . $file_name)->crop('center', 'center', 200, 200); $img->saveToFile('../files/thumb/thumb_' . $file_name); 2nd method: $img = WideImage::load('../files/' . $file_name)->crop('center', 'center', 200, 200); $img->copy('../files/thumb/thumb_' . $file_name); But nothing seems to happen, when I am performing any of these methods. I am getting no errors and no thumbnails. Am I doing something wrong here?

    This is really getting frustrating. I have a text file that I'm reading for a list of part numbers that goes into an array. I'm using the following foreach function to search a database for matching numbers. $file = file('parts_array.txt'); foreach ($file as $newPart) { $sql = "SELECT products_sku FROM products WHERE products_sku='" . $newPart . "'"; $rs = mysql_query($sql); $num_rows = mysql_num_rows($rs); echo $num_rows; echo "<br />"; } The problem is I'm getting 0 rows returned from mysql_num_rows. I can type the sql statement without the variable and it works perfectly. I can even echo out the sql statement from this script, copy and paste the statement from the browser and it works. But, for some reason I'm not getting any records when I'm using the variable. I've used variables in sql statements tons of times, but this really has me stumped.

Like "Mage, Warrior" etc. I am thinking of a method like have some CharacterBase class (abstract?) and then I have a child class which is like WarriorClass or something like that. I think the approach is called Factory pattern or something like that. Anyone got a clue of what I'm trying to achieve here, and are there perhaps any better way to do this?

  • JavaScript doesn't parse when mod-rewrited through a PHP file?

    If I do the following (this is the actual/direct path to the JavaScript file): <script href="http://localhost/tpl/blue/js/functions.js" type="text/javascript"></script> It works fine, and the JavaScript parses - as its meant too. However I'm wanting to shorten the path to the JavaScript file (aswell as do some caching) which is why I'm rewriting all JavaScript files via .htaccess to cache.php (which handles the caching). The .htaccess contains the following: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^js/(.+?\.js)$ cache.php?file=$1 [NC] </IfModule> cache.php contains the following PHP code: <?php if (extension_loaded('zlib')) { ob_start('ob_gzhandler'); } $file = basename($_GET['file']); if (file_exists("tpl/blue/js/".$file)) { header("Content-Type: application/javascript"); header('Cache-Control: must-revalidate'); header('Expires: ' . gmdate('D, d M Y H:i:s', time() + 3600) . ' GMT'); echo file_get_contents("tpl/blue/js/".$file); } ?> and I'm calling the JavaScript file like so: <script href="http://localhost/js/functions.js" type="text/javascript"></script> But doing that the JavaScript doesn't parse? (if I call the functions which are within functions.js later on in the page they don't work) - so theirs a problem either with cache.php or the rewrite rule? (because the file by itself works fine). If I access the rewrited file- http://localhost/js/functions.js directly it prints the JavaScript code, as any JavaScript file would - so I'm confused as to what I'm doing wrong... All help is appreciated! :)

    Hello I'm getting a bunch of weird html output in users messages e.g. \u0644\u064a\u0646\u0643 \u0627\u0644 \u0639\u0627\u0645\u0644 I assume their aribic characters decoded? How can I perhaps preg replace all these codes with something a little more useful? because search results are filled with pages and pages of this stuff Perhaps even display them as they're supposed to be? Any advice what to do with such strings and how to implement them appreciated.. Please keep in mind this stuff is mixed in been common language letters / numbers many thanks
