  • Identify html tags for image, video in text and convert them into images, videos while laying dynami

    Hi all, In my app I need to lay some text which I'm getting from a parsed data. Currently I'm currently laying it in a label. The problem is there are going to be some html tags indicating an image [along with its url] and videos etc in that plaintext. What is a good way to handle this identifying images and videos tags and laying corresponding images and videos along with rest of the plaintext dynamically? Thanx in advance.

  • Find a control by String from asp.net Web service

    Well since it seems relatively difficult to send the object of a WebControl over JSON using jquery.ajax() I've decided to send the name of the control as a string because I know how to do that. Then I promptly realized that, from a web service, I don't actually know how to search for a control by ID name. Since its a service I can't seem to get Control.FindControl() to work so does anyone have ideas or suggestions? All I'm trying to do is call a databind() on my radcombobox. Thanks in advance! For any of you that knows anything about asp.net/rad controls - I'm basically updating a database and want the radcombobox to be in sync with that database again after adding something, before I autoselect what was just added. Other than databind do i have to call anything to refresh that list? Thanks again!

    I'm fairly new to jQuery and I really can't get my head around this one. I'm trying to select <a href="contact"><div id="res">Reserveren</div></a>.   • how to make the footer div start after all other divs have finished

    i am having a slight problem with the alignment of the footer div. i have a header at the top. div = maincontent { two divs for content, side by side. another 2 divs side by side below the content div. } //just to represent. i know this is not html ;) now i want the footer div to start after the maincontent div finishes. i can do that if i specify a fixed height for the maincontent div. but i dont want to specify a height for it. if i dont specify the height, the footer div starts at the middle of the page. what am i doing wrong?

  • Strange problem with ie6 messing up layout, and fixing byitself some time after loading

    We have a big ie6 layout problem with a newly launched website: in the header in our homepage, we have a coda-slider, and apparently its messing upt the wole layout of the front page. I have been looking at float and height problems but cannot seem to solve it. Also, the most strange part is that if you wait a while after loading, the layout "fixes itself". Help! The url is the following (without the spaces, sorry) w w w . r e - c r e a r t . c o m Edit: update, it sounds crazy, but if you press control and use the mouse wheel (as if you were zooming in /out in a modern browser, although ie6 doesnt do that) the layout fixes as well. Please help, I am going crazy.

  • jQuery - How to Use slideDown (or show) function on a table row?

    I have two divs, one inside another. The outter one is called #wrapper, while the inner one is called #pad. Now #pad allows user input, and I have a javascript (jQuery) function that changes the content of #pad based on what the user input is. Sometimes, because of this function, #pad's content will cause the div to become more elongated than before. Now obviously I would wish for #wrapper to grow longer as well to accommodate this change in #pad's length.   • Can I set a style for the content of an iframe from the main page?

    We have a page the embeds a Google Calendar in an iframe. Recently, a warning box div began appearing on the calendar that looks like this: <div id="warningBox" style="color:#aa0000;">Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them.</div> Obviously the best solution here is to find the private events and remove them, but so far the search for those events has proved fruitless. This calendar is an aggregate of several calendars, including a few we don't control (ie weather). We're still looking, but in the meantime, I would like to try to hide that div. I know that iframes enforce the separation between the pages, such that the child page is pretty much a law unto itself. But surely there must be some way to set a style on an element inside the frame?

    I'm beginning to think this is impossible, but thought I'd ask you guys. Basically it's a 2 column layout, but the "business" wants the following: -Always take up the entire browser window -Accommodate resizing of browser window -Left column will be fixed width, but that width should be flexible from page-to-page. -Left column has a region at the top with fixed height. -Left column has a bottom region. It should take up the remaining vertical space of browser window. If content is very large, it will have a scroll bar just for that region. -Right column should take up remaining horizontal space of browser window. -Right column has a region at the top with fixed height. -Right column has a bottom region. It should take up the remaining vertical space of browser window. If content is very large, it will have a scroll bar just for that region. To be more precise of the problem I'm dealing, here is the details: I dynamically load a document (HTML and javascript) using jquery var url = 'document.php'; $('#container').load(url); And then I want to call the functions from that document.php. Due to my requirement, I don't want to call the function after the documents' loaded, but rather to call it later when I need it. Because it was dynamically loaded, the DOM doesn't recognize the functions. How to properly call this function? Thank you

I have a tooltip that shows the picture of the product when you hover the product name, for some reason it shows above the name, but under other elements, like lines and other product names.   • cannot eliminate space between 2 horizontal divs inside containing div

    Should be easy, right? Just set the outer containing div's padding to zero, and set the two side-by-side divs inside the outer div to have margin:0 but that's having no effect on the space between the 2 horizontal divs. What I need is the red-outlined left div to touch the green-outlined right-side div. Despite my effort using padding and margin, the space between the 2 divs will not go away.   • HTML email image inverts on link click Outlook 07/10/13

    I'm having an issue on a HTML email in Word rendered Outlooks (2007, 2010, 2013) where I click an image link, and when the mouse is clicked, the image inverts... I have tried putting a text-decoration: none on the link. All the links are styled inline as well. This is the only image that it is having this issue on the email, so tried re-saving the image with no luck. The image is saved as a JPEG and SRGB from a Photoshop PSD. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Creating a contact form using divs with 4 extra divs for "Corners"?

    Hi there, i have tried to create a contact form (a standard form, square in nature but with rounded corners)... I can't use the CSS3 specs so i have an image for each corner.. I have set the images on the background-image and no repeat but it seems if the div is empty then it doesn't display, is there a hack - although prefer an alternative clean method :-) So on the top level i presume i have 1 div for the Upper-Left (corner) and then the upper-middle (just has a color assigned) and then a div for the upper-right (corner) .. so i presume i need to float all these to the left??? Or am i missing something? Thanks in advance

  • centering ul so that columns will be centered too

    In my page I want it so that when you resize the page past the point of the pictures, that the pictures will go into another row, all the way so each picture has it's own row. And then potentially I won't need any media queries. But unfortunaltely I can't find a way to center. I have tried everything I can think of, aside of making hundreds of media queries with different positioning. I can't make it a block because then it won't go into rows, I have tried margin: 0 auto;. I have tried changing the padding, I have even tried using the html align="center". Nothing is working.   • What prevents a user from adding controls to an ASP.NET page client side?

    This goes back to my other question which I thought was sufficiently answers but upon reflect am not sure that it was (sorry). Backgrounder: I am generating a form dynamically. I am pulling from the database the controls. I must associate each control with a database ID which is not the user's session id. I do this currently by storing my ID in the ID for the web control with some other stuff to make it unique/clear what I am doing. On the post back, I iterate through all the controls on my web page checking for my special identifier, ie, MyGeneratedTextBox_ID_Unique. This process enables for 2 important steps, identifying the control was one I generated and also getting the ID for this input field. And, all of this works but I'm still concerned about the security of it. I do not see a security issue with showing the actual database ID's in this case, although agree it is not desirable. However, I am concerned of the following possibilities: If a user could add a nefarious control to my collection and use that for a SQL injection attack. More academic, but if a user could somehow store data for fields they do not have access too by changing the id's. I agree this is a "hack" of a way to do it. But my question is, is it a security risk and is there an 'easy' way to do it in a less hack way? I assume that only the controls that are created/instantiated on the page are added to the controls list.. thus all controls must be created server side and thus the security issue is address but just wanted to validate. Thanks again. PS: I could see adding a property for each control and encrypting the viewstate would be a little more secure.
