    I have the following tag: <script type="text/javascript" src="https://cdn.example.com/js_file.js"></script> In this case the site is HTTPS, but the site may also be just HTTP. (The JS file is on another domain.) I'm wondering if it's valid to do the following for convenience sake: <script type="text/javascript" src="//cdn.example.com/js_file.js"></script> I'm wondering if it's valid to remove the http: or https: ? It seems to work everywhere I have tested, but are there any cases where it doesn't work?

  • ORDER BY column_name help (via link in HTML table view) (PHP MySQL

    My output for my table in HTML has several columns such as userid, name, age, dob. The table heading is simply the title of the column name, I want this to be a link, and when clicked, the selected column is sorted in order, ASC, and then DESC (on next click). I thought this was pretty straight forward but I'm having some difficulty. So far, I have produced this, and no output is taken, apart from the URL works by displaying 'users.php?orderby=userid' <?php if(isset($_GET['orderby'])){ $orderby = $_GET['orderby']; $query_sv = "SELECT * FROM users BY ".mysql_real_escape_string($orderby)."   • firefox object height ignored when data

    I have a flash video loading in a modal window. It works in others browsers but not Firefox. Firefox opens the modal window to the correct width of the object, but with no height. I have come to learn that Firefox does not recognize <param> and instead uses the data attribute. However, when I remove this attribute, the modal opens with correct height. What is going on?   • Browser back button broken between hidden div's

    First of all, these pages will never be on the web but will be in internal memory. They are a group of linked documents---an ebook. http://www.anmldr.com/testdivs When I click on the link in the first div, the second div becomes visible and the first div is hidden. The problem is with the browser's back button. If you then click on the back button, the URL updates but the first div does not show again. How can I correct the back button so that the first div shows? The link from the second div to the first div works fine but it is the browser back button that I do not know how to work with. Thanks, Linda P.S. These are using CSS3 so it is better to use a WebKit based browser.

    I'm still leanring PHP/MySQL but have learned quite a bit thanks to codies on StackOverflow. I'm trying to setup a sort of room reservations system using two tables: SETUP: Room price table: Has, prices for a type room a client may want to rent as well as the dates (day of week) they wish to use it. Pricing varies based on day of the week and per room. I've setup a different table for each room type as each room type carries different pricing for each day of the week. So, There is an Alpha room table, Bravo room, etc. Within Alpha table are headers for the days of the week with pricing pre-entered into the rows. Client info table: Has the name, address, date of room use, etc data for the specific client. EXAMPLE: Alpha-room price table: Sun = $100; Mon = $200; Tue=$300 and so on. Bravo-room price table: Sun = $100; Mon = $200; Tue=$300 and so on. Client data table: ClientName; date-of-room-use; address; day_subtotal; grand_total. QUESTION: I'm trying to find PHP code that will: look at the date of room use in the client data table, look up the associated cost for that date in the specific room pricing table, record that unit cost in the day subtotal of the client data table and sum a grand total in the grand total row of the client data table (assuming the room may be used more than one day by the customer). I know there's something to do with join but I'm finding it difficult to grasp the concept and, if someone can demonstrate using this example, I think I will have a better understanding of how to work this sort of transaction.   • DIV tags not being properly nested.

    I have created some <div> tags and am setting it to contain two <div> tags that are floated to both sides of the <div>. I noticed when I tried to set a background color that the containing <div> was not properly wrapping around the <div>s that its supposed to contain. I would like to know why this happens. I have seen a similar question here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/611220/why-are-these-div-tags-not-nesting-properly but no one has explained why this happens in any of the answers.

    2 questions, i was doing nothing productive, and tried selecting the google home page (a left click drag and select whole page) on google.com i see that beside the search box, on the left side, there is an empty space &nbsp; i looked up the source code and there indeed was a <td width=25%>&nbsp;</td> stupid as it may sound, but i was still curious to know why the blank space is out there..or is it just a simple typo?? :) also, any idea what window.lol&&lol() does? curious yet again, google search didnt get me any result and i thought i would turn to stackoverflow to enlighten me... thanks, ivar

Now I want to save the Table in the localStorage, so I can load it again.
