  • Objective-C Class Question?

    Hey, My head is about to explode with this logic, can anyone help? Class A #imports Class B. Class A calls Method A in Class B. This works great Class B wants to send a response back to Class A from another method that is called from Method A. If you #import Class A from Class B, it is in effect an infinite loop and the whole thing crashes. Is there a way to do this properly, like a parent type thing? BTW, I'm developing for iPhone.

  • Is the Keychain suitable for storing general data, such as strings?

    The Keychain seems to be used a lot for usernames and passwords, but is it a good idea to use it for other sensitive stuff (bank details, ID numbers etc), but with no password? What kind of encryption does the keychain use? The scenario I'm concerned about is a thief acquiring an iPhone (which is screen-locked) and being able to access the file system to get this info. Also, would using the Keychain involve export restrictions due to the use of encryption?

    Hi, I'm writing a POS application for the iPhone/iPod combination, using the same exact hardware used in Apple Stores:: EasyPay. Ok, my hurdle is this: how do I identify which credit card type is being used as text is entered in the uitextfield? I assume I've to use textField:shouldChangeCharactersInRange:replacementString:?     In the Linked in iphone application I noticed that they have a tableview, see the following picture with what appears to have a triangle indicator pointing upwards. Notice how the tableview cell has a little triangle pointing upwards and is part of a tableview cell. The triangle is the ---^--- part of the image. I'm wondering.     In my project I am trying to save video to the iPhone after being taken by the camera. When I call the method: UIVideoAtPathIsCompatibleWithSavedPhotosAlbum(path) It reports the error: Implicit declaration of function 'UIVideoAtPathIsCompatibleWithSavedPhotosAlbum' I've imported MobileCoreServices/UTCoreTypes.h I was previously using this same code for saving camera pictures, and it worked fine. In another class, in the same project, I am able to reference the UIKit method: UIImagePNGRepresentation() without any problems So why does it give me this error?
