    Hello, Hopefully my title was descriptive enough to attract the right help. I want to write a function that will return 1 thing, and modify a provided pointer in another. My current function declaration is . . . char * afterURL replaceURLS(char * body) What I want to do is copy all of body's data into a new string, and set body to point to this new data. I then want afterURL to point to a location within the new string. My issue is getting the actual pointer that is passed in to this function to point to the new data. Thanks in advance! Rob

    Hello Everyone, I've written an jQuery-Plugin, which I want to use as Object. So I declared some functions within the plugin, which I want to call from any other location, just like an object with methods. Is that even possible? To keep it simple: (function( $ ){ $.fn.myPlugin = function(){ // Here I want methods... function foo() { // do something... } } })(jQuery); Then I want to call the inner function from outside the plugin like: $.myPlugin.foo(); But that doesn't seem to work. So is it even possible? Or are there any other solutions? I don't want to use an normal unrelated jQuery-Class for this purpose. Because this plugin should work together with some other jQuery-Plugins. Thank you

  • Why does Visual Studio 2008 try to open a project from the wrong folder?

    I'm having a bizarre problem with Visual Studio 2008. I wanted to debug one of the libraries that my web application references. Therefore, I decide to add the project containing the library to my solution so that I can debug them together. The project containing my library sits at c:\webLibs\myproj.vbproj. However, when I try to add the project to my solution, Visual Studio throws the following error: "The project file 'c:\someOtherFolder\myproj.vbproj'. has been moved, renamed, or is not on your computer." As you can see, VS appears to be trying to open a different file than the one I clicked on. I used to have the file in that other location, but not anymore. I've tried restarting VS several times. What could cause this bizarre behavior? Why would Visual Studio try to open my project from the wrong folder?

  • Need guidance for my first Android application: how many activities should I use?

    Hi, I'm starting Android doing an application for searching restaurants, and some guidance would be welcome! On the first screen I'd like to have a search field with a submit button (I get the data from a web service), and below a list with the results of the search. When clicking on one of the items of the list it will show a screen with the restaurant details as well as a map showing its location. My questions are: Can I do everything in one single activity or should I do an activity for the search, one for the result list, one for the restaurant description, and another for the map? Would doing one single activity make the application more responsive? How can I use a list and a map within a normal activity (without ListActivity and MapActivity)?   • Mercurial adding new file gives no match found error

    I have a strange problem with updating Mercurial. Everytime when I add a file to my repository and then update another location of the repository (for example with in CI process), the error "no match found" occures. Then when I remove to whole folder and clone it again there are no problems and the new added file(s) are there. Updating and removing doesnt give problems When I do "a" Verify the following is shown: data/test.txt.i@54: missing revlog! 54: empty or missing test.txt test.txt@54: b80de5d13875 in manifests not found 3 integrity errors encountered! (first damaged changeset appears to be 54) Any idea what could be causing this?

    Hi, I am making a simulator and have written lots of files and headers. The problem is whenever I include a file I give the relative path of the particular file. For example a typical code in my application would begin like #ifndef AI_H #define AI_H #include <cstdlib> #include "../world/world.h" #include "pathPlan.h" #include "skills/tryskill.h" #include "../info/condition.h" #include "dataStructures/destination.h" #include "../params/gamePlay.h" #include "../modules/controlModule.h" class ai { public: etc etc I want to avoid using the relative paths. For example I want to directly include "tryskill.h" and "destination.h" without giving the absolute paths. That way I wont need to bother if I change the location of any particular file. I am using Ubuntu 9.10. Any help would be highly appreciated.

  • Facebook iframe app redirecting https to http, how?

    I'm trying to get an app working within Facebook, but it seems that no matter what I try including forcing just https in the app settings (see screen shot), the iframe source (Facebooks canvas) seems to change the https address to http (301) which is then producing SEC7111: HTTPS security errors in IE?     Hi, I have had my new rails program up for a few days now. I'm running it on Ubuntu 10.4 with apache2 in another location than the website it's made for (it's a standalone database application for physiotherapists). The people I made it for now want me to deploy it to the public part of their website, only with one change. Those who open it via the link in the public-part should not be able to click one button! I was thinking of doing something like this in my view: <% if session[:inside]%> <%=button_to 'Sækja mælitæki', @link_to_mt%> <%end%> How could I set session[:inside] only to true if the program was started from within the private part of the webpage? I thought of creating two new actions, the other would set session[:inside] to true and the other to false, but that seems to me like a security risk, is it not? BR, Sindri

    I'm using the following function to get a URL parameter. function gup(name, url) { name = name.replace(/[\[]/, '\\\[').replace(/[\]]/, '\\\]'); var results = new RegExp('[\\?&]'+name+'=?([^&#]*)').exec(url || window.location.href); return results == null ? null : results[1]; } It works only if the parameter has a value, for example. gup('a', 'http://example.com/page.php?a=1&b=2'); will return 1. But if I try gup('a', 'http://example.com/page.php?a&b=2'); It returns null. I want it to return true because parameter "a" exists in that url, even though it has no value it's still there and gup() should return true. Could I get a bit of help rewriting this? I'm not that good with regex.

    Hi, This is my doubt on what we regard as a "unit" while unit-testing. say I have a method like this, public String myBigMethod() { String resultOne = moduleOneObject.someOperation(); String resultTwo = moduleTwoObject.someOtherOperation(resultOne); return resultTwo; } ( I have unit-tests written for someOperation() and someOtherOperation() seperately ) and this myBigMethod() kinda integrates ModuleOne and ModuleTwo by using them as above, then, is the method "myBigMethod()" still considered as a "unit" ? Should I be writing a test for this "myBigMethod()" ? Say I have written a test for myBigMethod()... If testSomeOperation() fails, it would also result in testMyBigMethod() to fail... Now testMyBigMethod()'s failure might show a not-so-correct-location of the bug. One-Cause causing two tests to fail doesn't look so good to me. But donno if there's any better way...? Is there ?   • Is there a way to automatically grab all the elements on the page using Selenium?

    When creating tests for .Net applications, I can use the White library to find all elements of a given type. I can then write these elements to an Xml file, so they can be referenced and used for GUI tests. This is much faster than manually recording each individual element's info, so I would like to do the same for web applications using Selenium. I haven't been able to find any info on this yet. I would like to be able to search for every element of a given type and save its information (location/XPath, value, and label) so I can write it to a text file later.

I don't understand this. It also doesn't let me use any other attributes like data[0].addresse, which returns undefined aswell. Thanks for help.

Its important that the user can copy the url and then use it later(and get the same settings). Its also important to be able to save these settings on the user in the database. So far I have created a ModelView class that contains the parameters but I am not sure that this is the right way to go? Maby I should pass all inte the URL. If so, how do I accomplish this?     I am working on a web-based program, using Java. I am not sure exactly how to phrase this, but I expect the program to be running from within the c:/Resin/webapps/apps directory. However, when I reference a file in the program like this: "../files/randomfile.pdf", it cannot find that file. It works when I reference it like this: "c:/Resin/webapps/files/randomfile.pdf". How to I change the "running location"? (And what is the technical term for this?)

    I have a method that returns an NSRange. When I call this method from outside the class I get a compile error. NSRange tmpRange; tmpRange = [phrase rangeInString:searchString forString:theLetter goingForward:YES]; return tmpRange.location == -1; in the .h file: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> @interface Phrase : NSObject { } - (NSRange) rangeInString:(NSString *) tgt forString:(NSString *) find goingForward:(BOOL) fwd; @end This method is called within the Phrase object by other methods without problems. The compiler says 'incompatible types in assignment'. Can anyone explain this to me? I assume it has to do with returning an NSRange/struct type value generated outside the object, but I don't know why it works in one place and not the other.

    This must be a pretty basic thing to do, but I cannot find any good guide on how to do it on the internet. I only find how to set up a development environment for Node. I want to be able to forward my R-Pi's port 80 to my Node server, which I want to obviously listen on port 80. How can I close the native port 80 so that I can let me Node server listen on that port. Ultimately, I want to be able to access my pi from any remote location. I know how to set up a static IP and forward the port on my router, but now how do I allow Node into port 80?

  • How to include file from seperate remote folder in Netbeans (PHP Development)

    I have a PHP project setup in Netbeans (v6.8) where all the PHP files are on a remote server and in a single directory. Whenever I save files locally they are updated on the remote server via SFTP. I now need to edit a remote JavaScript file to add some jQuery logic but the file is located within a different directory on the webserver. How to I add this JavaScript file such that when it is saved or updated it is transferred to it's own location on the server? When I attempt to create the file locally within NetBeans it saves to the same directory as my PHP files. I would like to be able to continue using NetBeans rather than doing this all manually using an SFTP client and a text editor. Thanks in advance.
