  • Jquery UI Sortable Item Contents

    So I have this shopping list coded in php and js: http://www.whatcouldicook.com/recipes/planner So people can add, delete or sort the list and thats fine, I dont want multiple lists and instead just have a list item containing a heading tag to represent a new list. All this works and then using serialize I can save the ordering/modifying of the list. I don't know how to get the list contents however as these will be dynamic from the user. All the code is on that url so hopefully you can examine the code there. Thanks everyone

    I'm unit testing my routes in ASP.NET MVC 2. I'm using MSTest and I'm using areas as well. When I call AreaRegistration.RegisterAllAreas() however, it throws this exception: System.InvalidOperationException: System.InvalidOperationException: This method cannot be called during the application's pre-start initialization stage.. OK, so I reckon I can't call it from my class initializer. But when can I call it? I don't have an Application_Start in my test obviously.

    I have got the following very simple code: function init() { var articleTabs = $('#articleTabs'); articleTabs.tabs('add', admin.pageVars.siteRoot + '/articles/themes/' + admin.pageVars.params.id, 'Temas'); articleTabs.tabs({ load : function(event, ui) { $('.jsonForm').jsonForm(); } }); } This successfully adds a new tab panel to an existing tab control. However upon activation, the load function does never fire. What is my mistake? (There are no javascript exceptions)

  • Django - testing using large tables of static data

    I am using "manage.py test" along with a JSON fixture I created using using 'dumpdata' My problem is that several of the tables in the fixture are very large (for example one containing the names of all cities in the US) which makes running a test incredibly slow. Seeing as several of these tables are never modified by the program (eg - the city names will never need to be modified), it doesn't make much sense to create and tear down these tables for every test run. Is there a better way to be testing this code using this kind of data?

  • jquery ui datepicker is huge

    Hi, im trying to add a datepicker to my symfony application and i got it working, but the size of the datepicker is about 3 times bigger than normal (on the demo page). I have not edited any CSS, i just used the default ui lightness theme no modifications. Does anybody have any idea why the size is blown up so big?   • i can't seem to get jquery ui multiselect plugin work with ajax

    i take a regular multiselect listbox and convert it to a jquery ui multiselect listbox by calling this: $(".multiSelectMe").multiselect(); As per the API, i call this method in the return of an ajax function $(".multiSelectMe").multiselect("select", "Item 1"); but nothing seems to happen. i can't figure out a way to have this programatically add items within an ajax call. i was thinking there was maybe another "refresh" method or something like that but i can't find any.

  • Animated transitions for jQuery UI's sortable

    Just out of curiosity, as I haven't been able to find anything anywhere; does anyone know of a way to get jQuery UI's sortable function to animate its sorting? What I mean is, when you move an element around the sortable parent, its children, the sortables, skip around instead of smoothly animating to their new position, which besides from being an eyesore can also make it a bit difficult to figure out what has moved where. There's obviously no default option for this, but I was hoping that perhaps someone, somewhere, had a neat solution.
