• Call function based off of a string in Lisp

  I am passing in command line arguments to my Lisp program and they are formatted like this when they hit my main function: ("1 1 1" "dot" "2 2 2") I have a dot function and would like to call it directly from the argument, but this isn't possible because something like (funcall (second args)...) receives "dot" and not dot as the function name. I tried variations of this function: (defun remove-quotes (s) (setf (aref s 0) '"")) to no avail, before realizing that the quotes were not really a part of the string. Is there a simple way to do this, or should I just check each string and then call the appropriate function? Thanks!

  I have a sentence and correction model class Sentence < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :correction class Correction < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :sentence and I'm trying find all sentences which don't have a correction. To do this I'm simply looking for corrections which don't exist i.e. whose id = nil. But it is failing and i can't figure out why Sentence.find :all, :include => :correction, :conditions => {:correction => {:id => nil}} Perhaps its the syntax or maybe just the overall approach. Can anyone help?

  I have a matrix, IEnumerable<IEnumerable<int>> matrix, for example: { {10,23,16,20,2,4}, {22,13,1,33,21,11 }, {7,19,31,12,6,22}, ... } and another array: int[] arr={ 10, 23, 16, 20} I want to filter the matrix on the condition that I group all rows of the matrix which contain the same number of elements from arr. That is to say the first row in the matrix {10,23,16,20,2,4} has 4 numbers from arr, this array should be grouped with the rest of the rows with 4 numbers from arr. better to use linq, thank you very much!

  Hello, I am trying to use md5 code to calculate checksums of file. Now the given function prints out the (previously calculated) checksum on screen, but I want to store it in a variable, to be able to compare it later on. I guess the main problem is that I want to store the content of an array in one variable. How can I manage that? Probably this is a very stupid question, but maybe somone can help. Below is the function to print out the value.   I am working on a program where each item can hold an array of items (i'm making a menu, which has a tree-like structure) currently i have the items as a list, instead of an array, but I don't feel like I'm using it to its full potential to simplify code. I chose a list over a standard array because the interface (.add, .remove, etc...) makes a lot of sense. I have code to search through the structure and return the path of the name (i.e. Item.subitem.subsubitem.subsubsubitem).   I have geography pages for two types of business listings. Each page goes from state, county, city, but I need to have the same geography shared between two types of business. My two business types are dentist and chiropractors. I am trying to have a permalink structure like this: enter code here xyz.com/dentist/alabama enter code here xyz.com/dentist/alabama/polk-county/ enter code here xyz.com/chiropractors/alabama/ enter code here xyz.com/chiropractors/alabama/polk-county/ I originally was going to load the geography as pages and subpages, but with that method I cannot get the permalink separated by the type chiropractor and dentist. So now I have created a custom post type one for chiropractor and one for dentist which give me the permalink xyz.com/dentist and xyz.com/chiropractor. My question is now how to handle my category geography page. I was wondering if in wordpress it is possible to create a shell page such as xyz.com/dentist/[state]/ and then through php dynamically build a page for each state? So where it shows [state] it will be replaced with the actual state such as alabama, california etc when that specific page is viewed. But the shell page is just 1 page in the database. If so could someone give me a basic explanation on how to instruct a programmer to do this? Thank you.

What I want is then the value for the chosen option to be stored in another field without the user having to enter it again.   TextView.contentSize.width does not work to set the UITextView's .frame.size.width. [TextView setFrame:CGRectMake(TextView.frame.origin.x, TextView.frame.origin.y, TextView.contentSize.width, TextView.contentSize.height)]; Setting the UITextView's frame height to the contentSize.height property works to make the view's frame scale to the proper size for the current vertical size of the content. For some reason, the width of the view's frame does not respond in the same way. It just remains the same size regardless of the amount of text input. When I log the contentsize of the UITextView dynamically, as I am typing in text to the view, the height property chnges, while the width does not. Makes me wonder what the width property is doing, what's it for.

• Win32 C++ Import path based on OS?

  I'm working with some legacy code that has an import like so: #import "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll" rename("EOF", "EndOfFile") The problem is, on a x64 machine the path for this import is in the 'Program Files (x86)' directory. Is there a preprocessor macro I can wrap around this to make it work on either? Edit: I think I found it. _M_X64, but im not 100% sure if this is correct.

  I'm building a Windows Phone application and my client has given me a list of languages that he would like the App to be localized for. The problem is that some of those languages are not supported by Windows Phone and I then decided to check out the list of supported langauges which is available here. I noticed that there are two OS option for Windows Phone, i.e. 7.0 and 7.1 but during development I am not sure of how to check for which OS the phone is running so that I know which list of languages to supply to the user. I'd like to know how to check if the Windows Phone OS is 7.0 or 7.1 (I'm assuming that his caters for later OS versions that might have come after the list was created)

  Sorry for the bad description it is tough to explain in one sentence. I have a dataset that has Cause field (RootCause) and an ID field (GroupID). Both can be many things but I need to identify where a GroupID has a multiple different rootcauses. for example: RootCause GrpId AAA 111 BBB 222 CCC 111 I am looking to be able to identify that GrpId 111 has two different RootCauses. This is what I have so far: Select [RootCause], GrpId, Count(GrpID) as CntGrpId From DB.dbo.Table Where DatatypeField <> '' Group BY [RootCause],GrpId This results set visualy gives me enough information to identify what I am looking for, but i need something better. • "javascript: void(0)" links sometimes break event handlers in internet explorer

  A while back I ran in to a problem where after clicking an anchor with "javascript: void(0)" events just stopped firing. I read that following a link puts the page in a different state and in that different state events don't fire. Even though the link is not real, it sometimes confuses IE. Anyway, I removed the "javascript: void(0)"'s and the problem has not been seen again. Now, in a different application I am seeing the same thing... kinda. Clicking the "javascript: void(0)" sometimes has no ill effect. But then for some reason or another after clicking the bad link the page will stop working. Once this happens it will continue to happen consistently until the client machine is rebooted. After reboot, you are back to it sometimes happening. Crazy right? Reboot fixing a web page!?!?! So, my question is has anyone seen this before? Can anyone give an explanation for this issue? Any documentation on this issue? I can't seem to find anything on it again. Does this even make sense? I already know "javascript: void(0)" is bad practice... I am just looking to understand the issue. Specifically, this is IE7. Thanks for reading!

• Silverlight ~ MVVM ~ Dynamic setting of Style property based on model value

  I have a class called Question that represents a question and it's answer. I have an application that renders an ObservableCollection of Question objects. Each Question is rendered as a StackPanel that contains a TextBlock for the question verbiage, and a TextBox for the user to enter in an answer. The questions are rendered using an ItemsControl, and I have initially set the Style of the Questions's StackPanel using a StaticResource key called 'IncorrectQuestion' (defined in UserControl.Resources section of the page). In the UserControl.Resources section, I've also defined a key calld 'CorrectQuestion' which I need to somehow apply to the Question's StackPanel when the user correctly answers the question. My problem is I'm not sure how to dynamically change the Style of the StackPanel, specifically within the constraints of a ViewModel class (i.e. I don't want to put any style selection code in the View's code-behind). My Question class has an IsCorrect property which is accurately being set when the correction is answered. I'd like to somehow reflect the IsCorrect value in the form of a Style selection. How do I do that?
