  • Why this button doesn't cause triple postback?

    We have developed a page with a asp.net and debugging it accidentally we have discovered on our page button with the next code on onclik attribute onclick="__doPostBack('ctl00$FormPlace$m_userTaskMarkAsUnreadButton',''); __doPostBack('ctl00$FormPlace$m_userTaskMarkAsUnreadButton','');WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions(new WebForm_PostBackOptions("ctl00$FormPlace$m_userTaskMarkAsUnreadButton", "", true, "", "", false, false))" It seems that the button do three postbacks but when we click it only cause on postback. With this code seems that de button will cause three postbacks!! We have try it with Internet Explorer and Firefox and the button only cause on postback always. Are browsers who avoid that the button do three postback ? Or Is Asp.net server who avoid the three postback? We don't understand why the button behaves correctly if onclick attribute has three call to do Postbacks. Thanks

    Hello all! Quick question I originally had a submit button. <input class="submit" type="submit" class="input" value="Add" name="command" /> but now I would like to use a instead. The issue is, the value="Add" is very important. I'm currently making the like this. <a href="javascript:document.register.submit();">submit</a> Any suggestions? Issue is, the site is not picking up that this specific was clicked, and therefore won't run my php code.

  • cannot eliminate space between 2 horizontal divs inside containing div

    Should be easy, right? Just set the outer containing div's padding to zero, and set the two side-by-side divs inside the outer div to have margin:0 but that's having no effect on the space between the 2 horizontal divs. What I need is the red-outlined left div to touch the green-outlined right-side div. Despite my effort using padding and margin, the space between the 2 divs will not go away.     I have no code to start with. I want to add 2 divs overlapping on each other and then use the new CSS3 Rotate function. The effect I want to create is shown on this page Requirements I don't want to use images I don't mind using CSS3 It should be easy to align the whole thing in the center (which makes it harder to use position: absolute;). It's going to be content below the boxed content (which makes it harder to use position: absolute;). If it's possible without too much position: absolute; it's better. I prefer table free solutions. I don't want to use an ActiveX, or OWC (Office Web Components), I just want to open an existing file from the internet explorer application. I don't want users to download and then open it.     I've been stuck on something for the past day. I'm building a RoR bot, and part of it involves signing up for an email account with mail.com. I've automated all the filling out of the form, apart from the captcha (Recaptcha). I'll be using the deathbycaptcha Ruby gem. However, in order to have the captcha solved, I'll need to get either its ID or its URL. While this shows up when I "enable form details" with the Firefox Web Developer toolbar, it doesn't seem to be in the source. How can I find it out? I'm using Watir. Thanks! Joe
