  • Deploy Java application on MacOSX (from a Windows system)

    Hello, Here's the deal. I'm just starting with Java programming, I've made a simple application that uses SWT graphic library and I want to deploy it on a Mac (running the latest version of MacOS X). I did all the programming in my Windows 7 machine, so here are my questions: Q1) Can I make an executable file for MacOS X from my Windows machine? How? (I saw that it's possible to create .exe files on Windows, instead of using .jar; I want to do the same for the Mac, of course it won't be an .exe) Q2) If I export my project in Eclipse and I choose Runnable JAR File and then on Library Handling I pick Extract required libraries into generated JAR or Package required libraries into generated JAR I end up with a huge .JAR (about 15MB of size, my application consist in just a button on a Window and a tiny method that doesn't do much).   • C++ hook process and show status

    Ok so I am learning C++ slowly. I am familiar with all the console syntax and everything, but now I'm moving on to windows programming. Now what im trying to do, is create a DLL that I inject into a process, so it's hooked in. All I want the C++ application to do, is have text in it, that says "Hooked" if it's successfully injected, and an error if something wrong happened. Or even if I can do it without a DLL, Just open an executable, and when the certain process I'm trying to hook is opened, the status is changed to "Hooked". Also I have a safaribooksonline.com account so if there is any good reads you would recommend, just write it down. thanks

I just need to compress and decompress a block of data without much options.     I have a script that sends a request to an HTTP server. HTTP server script (snippet): ... class MyHandler(BaseHTTPServer.BaseHTTPRequestHandler): def do_GET(sa): pdict = cgi.parse_header(sa.headers.getheader('referer')) q = pdict[0] q = urllib.unquote(q) if q == "enternetixplorer" # basically just ignore this, doesn't have to do with the question sa.wfile.write("blah blah blah") # now restart server httpd.server_close() python = sys.executable os.execl(python, python, * sys.argv) ... The "blah blah blah" is sent back, but the connection does not seem to close, and my script is waiting forever until I abort the server. (My thought is BaseHTTPServer automatically closes connection when the last part in "do_GET()" is computed, but I prevent this by restarting the script.) If I'm right, how do I close the connection? If not, what else might be the problem? Edit: The server script HAS to restart the entire program.

  • How to login users that are stored within a Wordpress account

    I am developing an iOS app that is password protected and all the users are stored in a wordpress account that, of course, is password protected as well. Does anybody know the format that wordpress uses to store login information for these accounts, I would assume that it is a MySQL that sends a json? I have only been able to find the database code for the initial admin page but nothing that shows the way these accounts (815 to be exact) would be stored within the site.

  • How to list library dependencies of a non-native binary?

    When developing for native platform, I can use ldd to list all the shared libraries (.so files) a binary executable I build will try to load upon start-up. But when cross-compiling, I don't know how to get the same information. The ldd is not a normal binutils utility, like strip or ar, that can be built alongside gcc for cross compiling, but instead, it is a cryptic shell script that apparently can only run on native platform. So, using the cross-target binutils tools, is there any way to get a list of the dynamically linked dependency for of a foreign binary?

  • Can nohup change the result of a C++ code?

    I am having this very weird behaviour with a C++ code: It gives me different results when running with and without 'nohup' (reproducible in cygwin and linux). I mean, if I get the same executable and run it like './run' or run it like 'nohup ./run out.log', I get different results! I use std::cout to output to screen, all lines ending with endl; I use ifstream for the input file; I use ofstream for output, all lines ending with endl. I am using g++ 4. Any idea what is going on?
