• How can I get a websites favicon when using the WebBrowser control?

  I have a Windows Forms WebBrowser control embedded in my application. Is there any way to get a web pages favicon using either the WebBrowser or HtmlDocument API? Even obtaining it from the local file system would suffice. Downloading the icon as a separate operation would be a last resort... Thanks.

  i am currently developing a rails3 app with mongomapper and file storage in gridfs. after some trying around, i found grip and currently also use it in the app for storing the data. so far, so good - now i am trying to get my head around serving the files to the user -- what would be the best/fastest way to achieve that? from: http://railstips.org/blog/archives/2009/12/23/getting-a-grip-on-gridfs/ there seem to be 2 ways: send_data from ruby/rails - is this a recommended way? fast enough? (i want to use passenger in the deploy setup) writing a rails metal (see http://gist.github.com/264077) - any comments or hints on how to use that with rails3? any other ideas or even examples? thanks a lot!

• How to get bluetooth RSSI on android after discovery

  I'm trying to write a program that can read the signal strength of a bluetooth device linked to my android 2.0 handset. Doesnt seem like android exposes anyway to get the RSSI unless it is during discovery. Is there any other way to get the signal strength of the device after the device has been detected? I read of a way to do it using NDK to access the underlying BlueZ API, but I dont know how to use that. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to programmatically stop swank? It seems start-repl takes control of the thread.   Hi! I need to implement HorizontalScrollView which is scrolled to predefined positions (similar to Home behaviour). It works with slow gestures, but does not work with flings. I hooked to View.onScrollChanged() and it is called when scrolling happened, but I can't determine when scrolling ends. In theory there should be a way to say that fling is over. Is there such API?

  today I tried to install and run the SublimeJava Plugin for Sublime Text 2. Here is basically what i've done. Cloning the git Repository https://github.com/quarnster/SublimeJava.git into ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 2/Packages. Since the table view index API is character-based, I assume that this magnifying glass is a Unicode character. So far I've resorted to placing a question mark character there, but that looks lame.   hi, I need to come out of the application after some inactivity session I tried using session.invalidate(); but it is not working as i am using basic authentication and i redirected to JSP page where it asks for login again but it is not asking any login credentials directly logging in to application The only way to logout with basic authentication is to close the Webbrowser. I need an API such that after inactivty say 10 mins it should redirect to one JSP page without closing the browser like banking sites will display session expired please login again Thanks in advance, Satya

In the model, I've created the onError method, and I can access error details with $this-getDataSource()-error; However I can't redirect or set a flash message because that can only take place in the controller, so what should I be doing here to communicate the error to the user?

  Is there a way to determine what kind of data plan a device has so an app provides a less rich experience if a data plan is not available? I imagine the connector factory would still be able to return me an HTTPConnection but it would cost the user serious money for lots of data, and I'd like to be nice and prevent that. I thought there would be a way to query device capabilities in the MIDP API, but maybe it's in CLDC?

  Hi, Currently, i'm using the method "VkKeyScan" in the win32 api to convert a character to its virtual keycode. But the problem that this seems to have is that, when i pass small alphabets, it works fine whereas when i pass in a capital alphabet, it doesnt return the appropriate keycode and similarly with special characters like "(" or "}" .. How do i do this? Is there anyway for me to directly convert a string to its virtual equivalent without considering whether it contains capitalized or special characters? Thanks
