I am currently developing a web application to be run in iPad. How do I control which keyboard is displayed when a user touches a text field?
input type="text" pattern="[0-9]*"
I have tried the above html codes which tested working in ITouch but in the Apple iPad SDK emulator, it imply brings up the normal keyboard.
Any idea?
Thank you.

Does anyone know how I can do this in php? thanks
I was using the Fiddler core .Net library as a local proxy to record the user activity in web. However I ended up with a problem which seems dirty to solve. I have a web browser say Google Chrome, and the user opened like 10 different tabs each with different web URLs. The problem is that the proxy records all the HTTP session initiated by each pages separately, causing me to figure out using my intelligence the tab which the corresponding HTTP session belonged to. I understand that this is because of the stateless nature of HTTP protocol. However I am just wondering is there an easy way to do this? I ended up with below c# code for that in Fiddler. Still its not a reliable solution due to the heuristics.
This is a modification of the sample project bundled with Fiddler core for .NET 4. Basically what it does is filtering HTTP sessions initiated in last few seconds to find the first request or switching to another page made by the same tab in browser. It almost works, but not seems to be a universal solution.
Fiddler.FiddlerApplication.AfterSessionComplete += delegate(Fiddler.Session oS)
{
//exclude other HTTP methods
if (oS.oRequest.headers.HTTPMethod == "GET" || oS.oRequest.headers.HTTPMethod == "POST")
//exclude other HTTP Status codes
if (oS.oResponse.headers.HTTPResponseStatus == "200 OK" || oS.oResponse.headers.HTTPResponseStatus == "304 Not Modified")
{
//exclude other MIME responses (allow only text/html)
var accept = oS.oRequest.headers.FindAll("Accept");
if (accept != null)
{
if(accept.Count>0)
if (accept[0].Value.Contains("text/html"))
{
//exclude AJAX
if (!oS.oRequest.headers.Exists("X-Requested-With"))
{
//find the referer for this request
var referer = oS.oRequest.headers.FindAll("Referer");
//if no referer then assume this as a new request and display the same
if(referer!=null)
{
//if no referer then assume this as a new request and display the same
if (referer.Count > 0)
{
//lock the sessions
Monitor.Enter(oAllSessions);
//filter further using the response
if (oS.oResponse.MIMEType == string.Empty || oS.oResponse.MIMEType == "text/html")
//get all previous sessions with the same process ID this session request
if(oAllSessions.FindAll(a=>a.LocalProcessID == oS.LocalProcessID)
//get all previous sessions within last second (assuming the new tab opened initiated multiple sessions other than parent)
.FindAll(z => (z.Timers.ClientBeginRequest > oS.Timers.ClientBeginRequest.AddSeconds(-1)))
//get all previous sessions that belongs to the same port of the current session
.FindAll(b=>b.port == oS.port ).FindAll(c=>c.clientIP ==oS.clientIP)
//get all previus sessions with the same referrer URL of the current session
.FindAll(y => referer[0].Value.Equals(y.fullUrl))
//get all previous sessions with the same host name of the current session
.FindAll(m=>m.hostname==oS.hostname).Count==0 ) //if count ==0 that means this is the parent request
Console.WriteLine(oS.fullUrl);
//unlock sessions
Monitor.Exit(oAllSessions);
}
else
Console.WriteLine(oS.fullUrl);
}
else
Console.WriteLine(oS.fullUrl);
Console.WriteLine();
}
}
}
}
};
I am building an application which has multiple user entry screens. I would like to know if there are advantages/disadvantages of using wpf popups rather than modal windows?
I am using mvvm-light.
I have noticed that popups are being used extensively in touch applications (eg iPad).
On any non-trivial hg installation, the hgrc's tend to contain significant stuff.
Is there a way to completely ignore/bypass ALL configurations, from system, user, to repo-level?
The use case is to use some hg core functionalities in some automation scripts. Currently, if anything is misconfigured (and I mess with my ~/.hgrc a lot), the scripts will abort for something it doesn't use at all.
It'd be perfect is I can just hg <whatever> --config:none.
Hi everyone,
i've got a situtation where we have a web site (mvc project), and a wcf service, when service gets message i need to show a notification to user who's on the web site with this message contents.
would be glad if you can show me the place where to start!
Thank You !
Is there a way to capture the amount of screen that is making contact with the users? I assume there is since this finger painting app shows the ipad responding to only the pixels that the user makes contact with.
Thanks so much in advance for your help!
My JSF form login was working with Constraint 1 however when I added Constraint 2 to my web.xml doing a submit on the form now takes me to a jsf javascript page. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
I would like only administrators to be able to access the /admin/* pages and only registered users to access the entire site included admin files. BTW after I see the java script page I can still navigate to the intended page in the browser, I just don't want the user to see the intermediate js page or need to know the target page URL.
Constraint 1
<security-constraint>
<display-name>Admin</display-name>
<web-resource-collection>
<url-pattern>/admin/*</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>ADMIN</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>
Constraint 2
<security-constraint>
<display-name>Users</display-name>
<web-resource-collection>
<url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>USER</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>
Here is the undesired url I am being redirected to:

I'm using Firefox 10.0.4, Glassfish 3.1 w JSF2.0 lib, j_security_check, and my login realm setup is similar to this
In the facebook authentication guide, i am suppose to:
Get the user to authorize my application, by redirecting them to authorize uri.
Get my access token from facebook by hitting the /outh/accesstoken uri.
Lets just say, that for whatever reason, this token is no longer valid. Do i need to perform step #1, or can i hit the /outh/accesstoken uri again?
I am trying to write a file to a network drive from my asp.Net application and i get this error - Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Any ideas?

I am using sqlcmd in a T-SQl script to write a text file to a network location. However SQLCMD is failing to write to that location due to access permission to the network folder. SP is being run under my user account which has access to the network folder.
Could you please help me under which account sqlcmd will run if I do not specify -U and -P option in TSQL Script?
in MSDN I found CloseReason.UserCloseing to know that the user had decided to close the form
but I guess it is the same for both clicking the X button or clicking the close button.
so How can I differentiate between these two in my code?
Thanks all.
I have class X that takes much time to initialize itself. I want to make that class singleton and force its creation when rails application starts.
I've made the singleton:
class X
@@instance = nil
def self.instance
if @@instance.nil?
@@instance = X.new
puts 'CREATING'
end
return @@instance
end
private_class_method :new
end
The problem is that every time I use this class I see 'CREATING' in logs. I've tried to put creation of class in initializers directory but it doesn't work either.
Is there a way to invoke a local program in JSP?
for example, to add a button to a jsp page, and when the user press the button the windows calculator app will be opened.
Thanks
i designed a software for testing work flow in lotus 8.51. i ran the program and it worked fine, but i found a single oddity in the application when i switch location to switch user id on my PC, the data i inputted in one location differ/not exist from the other one.
could you suggest something to correct this?
I'm using Drupal 6 and its core comment module.
I want to run a custom funcion every time a user posts a comment, but I don't want to mess with the comment.module for obvious reasons.
Is there a practical way I can do this in a custom module? If not, what are the alternatives as I don't want to write my own commenting system.
Hi,
I want to select a view from my sys user, but with other connection. I need to select view DBA_USERS. Is there any way of doing so? I am new in Oracle, so maybe it is silly question, but still, I have no idea how to do it.
Hi Everybody,
Can a user install my application from iTunesStore if he is having iPhone OS 3.0 or having lower version of iPhone OS and I have developed my application using iPhone SDK 3.1.3...
Can anyone help me with this...
Thanx in advance...
I have this Singleton class inside a Web Application .
public class MyDAO
{
private static MyDAO instance;
private MyDAO() {
}
public static MyDAO getInstance() {
if (instance == null) {
instance = new MyDAO();
}
return instance;
}
I will access it this way
public void get_Data()
{
MyDAO dao = MyDAO.getInstance();
}
How many Objects of MyDAO class will be created if there are 3 Users accessing the Application ??
Will there be one instance of MyDAO per User ??
