  • Problem with image path of html files viewed by webbrowser control

    I have an webbrowser control on my form. I am able display html files in that control. But my page contains some images if i give absolute path to it then images are displayed. But if i give relative path then images are not shown in the pages. I have HtmlPages folder located at bin folder. And i am assigning FileStream source = new FileStream(@"..\HtmlPages\supportHtml.html", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); webBrowser.DocumentStream = source; If i assign D:\myapp\bin\HtmlPages\file.png then there is no problem. My images are stored in same folder. If i open html files with webbrowser then images are displayed. What is the correct path to set ??

  • GPU YUV to RGB. Worth the effort?

    Hello, I have to convert several full PAL videos (720x576@25) from YUV 4:2:2 to RGB, in real time, and probably a custom resize for each. I have thought of using the GPU, as I have seen some example that does just this (except that it's 4:4:4 so the bpp is the same in source and destiny)-- http://www.fourcc.org/source/YUV420P-OpenGL-GLSLang.c However, I don't have any experience with using GPU's and I'm not sure of what can be done. The example, as I understand it, just converts the video frame to YUV and displays it in the screen. Is it possible to get the processed frame instead? Would it be worth the effort to send it to the GPU, get it transformed, and sending it again to main memory, or would it kill performance? Being a bit platform-specific, assuming I work on windows, is it possible to get an OpenGL or DirectDraw surface from a window so the GPU can draw directly to it?

    At the moment I'm searching for properties for a connection string, which can be used to connect to an Excel file in readonly mode. Searching Google gets me a lot of examples of connection strings, but I can't seem to find a specification of all possibilities in the 'Extended Properties' section of the OleDb connection string. At the moment I've this: Provider = Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source = D:\Data\Customers.xls; Extended Properties = 'Excel 8.0; Mode=Read; ReadOnly=true; HDR=Yes'; However... I've composed this by examples. So questions: 1. What is a decent source for OleDb Connection String documentation/reference? 2. Is the above connection string indeed connecting to the Excel file in readonly mode? Thanks!

    I want to redirect all url errors The url I want to cath is ~/bla/foo It should redirect to ~/error404.aspx bla exists as a folder. foo does not exist. I already set the webconfig to point to my error but I just doesn't work. I get this error: Server Error in application /. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ The source can not be found. Description: HTTP 404. Perhaps you are looking for the source (or a dependency thereof) removed or is temporarily unavailable or has changed its name. Check the spelling of the URL.   • Check to see if file transfer is complete

    We have a daily job that processes files delivered from an external source. The process usually runs fine without any issues but every once in a while we have an issue of attempting to process a file that is not completely transferred. The external source SCPs these files from a UNIX server to our Windows server. From there we try to process the files. Is there a way to check to see if a file is still being transferred? Does UNIX put a lock on a file while SCPing it that we could check on the Windows side?

  • Problem with WiX major upgrade!

    Okay, my last question on this journey of WiX upgrades managed to get my settings file to be preserved! However, There is another component that is being preserved that I don't want to! I need it to overwrite, and it's not. The component "Settings" now works, with the NeverOverwrite="yes", and a KeyPath="yes". However, the component immediately below it does not work! It needs to overwrite both the MDF and the LDF with new ones from the install! I've tried lots of stuff, and am stumped. Please and thank you!     This is going to sound very odd, but I have a web.config like this: <connectionStrings> <remove name="LocalSqlServer"/> <add name="LocalSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=BACKUPDB;..." providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/> </connectionStrings> And a global.asax like this: void Session_Start(object sender, EventArgs e) { // Code that runs when a new session is started if (Application["con"] == null || Application["con"] == "") { Application["con"] = "Data Source=PRODUCTIONDB;..."; } } And EVERYWHERE in my code, I reference my ConnectionStrings like this: SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(Convert.ToString(HttpContext.Current.Application["con"])); However, I see that everything I do inside this application goes to BACKUP db instead of PRODUCTIONDB. What is going on, how could this happen, and why? It doesn't make any sense to me, and it got me into a lot of trouble. We use LocalSqlServer string for FormsAuthentication.

  • How to share WinForms and code between 2 projects

    Hi I have a working Windows Forms app (split into an EXE and a few DLLs). Now I've been asked to look at creating another app (MyAppLite) that has only a very small subset of the functionality. Think of it as similar to MS Word Viewer vs. MS Word. Everything that I need to build MyAppLite is contained in the main solution - essentially I need to use a couple of the WinForms and whatever bits in the DLLs they call into. What would be the best way to do this? I was thinking of creating another Project in my solution for MyAppLite, then adding the necessary source files as links (using Add Existing Item Add As Link in Solution Explorer). I definitely wouldn't want to maintain 2 copies of the source code. FYI it's a .NET 2.0 VB app, using VS2008. thanks Richard

    Hi, I am using Ant script to generate javadoc and I just only wnt Ant to look for some classes based on a certain pattern, so I wrote: <javadoc access="public" source="1.6" sourcepath="src" destdir="dest" > <fileset dir="src" casesensitive="yes" defaultexcludes="yes"> <filename name="**/ABC*.java"/> </fileset> </javadoc> That means I only want Ant to look for source file that starts with "ABC" only and generate javadoc for these files. However, the results are awayls duplicate for each file starting with "ABC". Did I do something wrong? Thanks

    In Java, I define an abstract class with both concrete and abstract methods in it, and it has to be subclassed independently by third-party developers. Just to be sure: are there any changes I could make to the abstract class that are source compatible with their classes but not binary compatible? In other words: after they have compiled their subclasses, could I change the abstract class - apart from e.g. adding an abstract method to it or removing a protected method from it that is called by subclasses, which are of course source incompatible - in a way that could force them to recompile their subclasses?

    Suppose we have a DAG with edges labeled with numbers. Define the value of a path as the product of the labels. For each (source,sink)-pair I want to find the sum of the values of all the paths from source to sink. You can do this in polynomial time with dynamic programming, but there are still some choices that can be made in how you decompose the problem. In my case I have one DAG that has to be evaluated repeatedly with different labelings. My question is: for a given DAG, how can we pre-compute a good strategy for computing these values for different labelings repeatedly. It would be nice if there was an algorithm that finds an optimal way, for example a way that minimizes the number of multiplications. But perhaps this is too much to ask, I would be very happy with an algorithm that just gives a good decomposition.

    What's a simple and canonical way to read an entire file into memory in Scala? (Ideally, with control over character encoding.) The best I can come up with is: scala.io.Source.fromPath("file.txt").getLines.reduceLeft(_+_) or am I supposed to use one of Java's god-awful idioms, the best of which (without using an external library) seems to be: import java.util.Scanner import java.io.File new Scanner(new File("file.txt")).useDelimiter("\\Z").next() From reading mailing list discussions, it's not clear to me that scala.io.Source is even supposed to be the canonical I/O library. I don't understand what its intended purpose is, exactly. ... I'd like something dead-simple and easy to remember. For example, in these languages it's very hard to forget the idiom ... So how do I convert my array of UserInteractionProperties into an InArgument?

It's recent uses a modern PyGame (1.9) non-trivial, in that it shows how to use it the module for a real application. I'd like to find others. A lot of the ones on the Pygame site are from 1.3 era or earlier! Info on related projects, like Gloss is welcome as well.     Hello guys, there are three (open) questions about the internationalization of GWT, I have: 1) Is it a (huge) performance issue, to use only "Messages" for constant and parameterized text (that's possible), where you would use both "Messages" and "Constants" usually? 2) Is there a way to specify the original text in the source code, whose translations can then be specified somewhere? (e.g. Translate("Hello") in the source code and than in a properties file for e.g. spanish: Hello = ¡Hola!) 3) Do you know any translation-tools, which generate the properties and interfaces for you?   • Snatching the code of a Facebook fan page canvas?

    I am trying to snatch the code of this fan page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/See-oho-nieps-YothG-RRofiLe/106340746065367 I need the function that suggests the fan page to the users friends automatically (not for spamming purposes as the above fan page is used for). Now by looking at the source, I know that the code is under the pagelet_tab_content, but not all of it. I have copied that part and pasted it into my own fan page. The layout looks identical but the functions does not work. Obviously something is missing. For instance, I cant find the in the source which is strange, as I know for definate that it is being used. I have been working with this all day without any result. Maybe there is someone more intelligent and experienced that could help me out?

  • Interpreting Search Results

    Hi all, I am tasked with writing a program that, given a search term and the HTML source of a page representing search results of some unknown search engine (it can really be anything, a blog, a shop, Google, eBay, ...), needs to build a data structure of the results containing "what's in the results": a title for earch result, the "details" link, the position within the results etc. It is not known whether the results page contains any of the data at all, and whether there are any search results. The goal is to feed the data structure into another program that extracts meaning. What I am looking for is not BeautifulSoup or a RegExp but rather some clever ideas or algorithms on how to interpret the HTML source. What do I do to find out what part of the page constitutes a single result item? How do I filter the markup noise to extract the important bits? What would you do? Pointers to fields of research covering what I try to to are aly greatly appreciated. Thanks, Simon

  • Why does calling IEnumerable<string>.Count() create an additional assembly dependency ?

    Assume this chain of dll references Tests.dll >> Automation.dll >> White.Core.dll with the following line of code in Tests.dll, where everything builds result.MissingPaths Now when I change this to result.MissingPaths.Count() I get the following build error for Tests.dll "White.UIItem is not defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to White.Core.dll." And I don't want to do that because it breaks my layering. Here is the type definition for result, which is in Automation.dll public class HasResult { public HasResult(IEnumerable<string> missingPaths ) { MissingPaths = missingPaths; } public IEnumerable<string> MissingPaths { get; set; } public bool AllExist { get { return !MissingPaths.Any(); } } } Down the call chain the input param to this ctor is created via (The TreeNode class is in White.Core.dll) assetPaths.Where(assetPath => !FindTreeNodeUsingCache(treeHandle, assetPath)); Why does this dependency leak when calling Count() on IEnumerable ? I then suspected that lazy evaluation was causing this (for some reason) - so I slotted in an ToArray() in the above line but didn't work. Update 2011 01 07: Curiouser and Curiouser! it won't build until I add a White.Core reference. So I add a reference and build it (in order to find the elusive dependency source). Open it up in Reflector and the only references listed are Automation, mscorlib, System.core and NUnit. So the compiler threw away the White reference as it was not needed. ILDASM also confirms that there is no White AssemblyRef entry. Any ideas on how to get to the bottom of this thing (primarily for 'now I wanna know why' reasons)? What are the chances that this is an VS2010/MSBuild bug? Update 2011 01 07 #2 As per Shimmy's suggestion, tried calling the method explcitly as an extension method Enumerable.Count(result.MissingPaths) and it stops cribbing (not sure why). However I moved some code around after that and now I'm getting the same issue at a different location using IEnumerable - this time reading and filtering lines out of a file on disk (totally unrelated to White). Seems like it's a 'symptom-fix'. var lines = File.ReadLines(aFilePath).ToArray(); once again, if I remove the ToArray() it compiles again - it seems that any method that causes the enumerable to be evaluated (ToArray, Count, ToList, etc.) causes this. Let me try and get a working tiny-app to demo this issue... Update 2011 01 07 #3 Phew! More information.. It turns out the problem is just in one source file - this file is LINQ-phobic. Any call to an Enumerable extension method has to be explicitly called out.
