• how to invoke onclick function in html from vb.net or C#

  I am trying to invoke the onclick function in an html page that displays content. I am using the httpwebreqest control and not a browser control. • Facebook API - Get comments

  Our business has a Facebook Fan Page. The fan page doesn't seem to generate any emails to us when updates are made to the page, whether someone adds a new status or someone comments on one of the statuses etc. Currently, we are running a very crude script to grab the content of the page and then use regular expressions to get the information we require. Obviously this is not fool proof and I'm looking into alternatives to this method. I've been looking at the facebook API and wonder if the rest server might be an option. I cannot, however, seem to find out how to return information of fan page statuses and their comments. Is anyone able to direct me how to use the API to retrieve this information. I am an admin of the fan page. The programming language I'm using is PHP. Many thanks.

Any suggestions or tips would be great. Additional Info In addition, I may have other issues that might suggest a cause. I tried running mongo with --fork --logpath /home/lucas..., but it did not work. Inside this view there's abutton where I fire the presentModalView... in the main view, not on NC, but it's parent view: ABVIEW NC NEWVIEW new attach a presentModalView... on ABVIEW, so [abview present...]; No problem till now. When it's the time to dismiss, after the temporary window (let's calls it NOTES) disappear, my ABVIEW with all the subviews change Y position from 0 to 20, the same height of the status bar. I was looking everywhere and I'm sure it's a stupid thing, but I miss a bit of knowledge here and I have no idea where to find the solution. thanks in advance!

Senario Give i am on the "Edit Survey" page. I would like to add a button to each "Question" field which calls a remote_function, which in turn queue's up a delayed_job to execute some processing on the "Question". To give feedback to the user, i would like to disable the button, and show an animated spinner, which remains until the delayed_job has processed the "Question". Hint - I can add methods to the "Question" model to indicate the status of the delayed_job. So, with best practices in mind, what is the best way to achieve this?

• Django admin urls return INVALID REQUEST! - Django

  Hi folks, my admin urls are sat behind a prefix by doing the following. 1# (r'^admin/', include(admin.site.urls)), is placed within urls_core.py 2# (r'^api/', include('project.urls_core')), is palced within urls.py All admin URLs work fine except app indexes. If I go to any URL such as: /api/admin/core/ /api/admin/registration/ /api/admin/users/ /api/admin/filters/ I receive 'INVALID REQUEST' as my response. Status code is 200 (OK) though. I have never received this error message before. Does anyone have a clue? Thanks guys!

  I need to run the SFTP fileserver binary as root, but direct root login is not allowed. In WinSCP, if I use "default" on SFTP server protocol option everything works as expected. • How to style an asp.net menu with CSS

  I'm in the process of styling an asp.net menu and I'm trying to understand the meaning of the StaticSelectedStyle-CssClass and StaticHoverStyle-CssClass parameters. My understanding is that the styles defined with these parameters are applied as CSS classes to the relevant elements, whenever needed. So I created my menu as follows: <asp:Menu ID="NavigationMenu" DataSourceID="NavigationSiteMapDataSource" StaticMenuStyle-CssClass="StaticMenuStyle" StaticMenuItemStyle-CssClass="StaticMenuItemStyle" StaticSelectedStyle-CssClass="StaticSelectedStyle" StaticHoverStyle-CssClass="StaticHoverStyle" Orientation="Horizontal" MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels="0" runat="server"> </asp:Menu> It works for StaticMenuStyle-CssClass and StaticMenuStyle-CssClass (the classes are applied to the relevant elements), but StaticSelectedStyle-CssClass and StaticHoverStyle-CssClass are not applied, regardless of the selected or hover status of an element. • HTML - How do I know when all frames are loaded?

  I'm using .NET WebBrowser control. How do I know when a web page is fully loaded? I want to know when the browser is not fetching any more data. (The moment when IE writes 'Done' in its status bar...). Notes: The DocumentComplete/NavigateComplete events might occur multiple times for a web site containing multiple frames. The browser ready state doesn't solve the problem either. I have tried checking the number of frames in the frame collection and then count the number of times I get DocumentComplete event but this doesn't work either. this.WebBrowser.IsBusy doesn't work either. It is always 'false' when checking it in the Document Complete handler.

• rewrite URL for PUT request

  Hi, I changed the way my URL are working on my server. It is now www.myserver.com/service instead of www.myserver.com/test/service I have added a RedirectMatch 301 to my Apache conf file to redirect any access to www.myserver.com/test to www.myserver.com/. I am receiving file to this server via an HTTP PUT at this URL for example : www.myserver.com/test/service/put/myfile.xml The server sending the file don't handle the 301 HTTP status code so the files didn't arrived anymore. Is there a way to rewrite the URL when it is a PUT Request in order to don't miss any file? Thanks, Benjamin

  Hi, I have a loosely coupled web app (one part uses PHP, the other uses WGSI). The WSGI/python framework shares the authentication with the PHP app, meaning that generally, the user should Log in via the PHP interface Now the user can access any of the WSGI pages [this part works if the user has logged in] What I want to do though, is if a user tries to access a WSGI page while not logged in (maybe from a previous bookmark), I would like to redirect him to the login page, and after logging in redirect him back to the orignal URL. I'm not very experienced with server-side programming, so here are my questions. How should I redirect the user back to the PHP login page? What should the HTTP status code be? Do I need to set any extra header information? What is a good way/best practice method to pass the original URL to the login page, and then after logging have it redirect the user back. Thank you!

• Bash: how to interrupt this script when there's a CTRL-C?

  I wrote a tiny Bash script to find all the Mercurial changesets (starting from the tip) that contains the string passed in argument: #!/bin/bash CNT=$(hg tip | awk '{ print $2 }' | head -c 3) while [ $CNT -gt 0 ] do echo rev $CNT hg log -v -r$CNT | grep $1 let CNT=CNT-1 done If I interrupt it by hitting ctrl-c, more often than not the command currently executed is "hg log" and it's that command that gets interrupted, but then my script continues. I was then thinking of checking the return status of "hg log", but because I'm piping it into grep I'm not too sure as to how to go about it... How should I go about exiting this script when it is interrupted? (btw I don't know if that script is good at all for what I want to do but it does the job and anyway I'm interested in the "interrupted" issue)

B) Sort by will contain by employee number, date of birth , Salary , and many more C) Filter by will contain like employee on vacation, or employee terminated etc etc. Now for a single webreport I am first taking a DataSource and binding data to labels. to achieve the above webreport I have to take 40 different Datasource and I have to assign to the labels? Should I be doing this?

  Hi there, to start off, I know C++, C#, Python, some Ruby, and basic Javascript. Anyway, my question revolves around how to interact with RESTful API's via Javascript. I haven't been able to find any good examples on various websites, and so I've come here. So my basic question is: How do I interact with RESTful API's via JS? And where can I find out how to implement OAuth in JS? I know how to get my keys and such, just not how to actually code them in. Below is an example of a twitter API status update run from my MAC terminal with curl: curl -u username:password -d "my tweet" http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/update.json How can I implement this in Javascript (preferably with OAuth authentication)? • Able to ping but cannot browse after several hours running of my python program

  It's a GUI program I wrote in python checking website/server status running on my XP SP3, multi threads are used to check different site/server. After several hours running, the program starts to get urlopen error timed out all the time, and this always happens right after a POST request from a server(not a certain one, might be A or B or C), and it's also not the first POST request causing the problem, normally after several hours running and it happens to make a POST request at an unknown moment, all you get from then on is urlopen error timed out. I'm still able to ping but cannot browse any site, once the program closed everything's fine. It's definitely the program causing this problem, well I just don't know how to debug/check what the problem is, also don't know if it's from OS side or my program wasting too many resources/connections(are you still able to ping when too many connections used?), would anybody please help me out?

• How to recover gracefully from a C# udp socket exception

  Context: I'm porting a linux perl app to C#, the server listens on a udp port and maintains multiple concurrent dialogs with remote clients via a single udp socket. During testing, I send out high volumes of packets to the udp server, randomly restarting the clients to observe the server registering the new connections. The problem is this: when I kill a udp client, there may still be data on the server destined for that client. When the server tries to send this data, it gets an icmp "no service available" message back and consequently an exception occurs on the socket. I cannot reuse this socket, when I try to associate a C# async handler with the socket, it complains about the exception, so I have to close and reopen the udp socket on the server port. Is this the only way around this problem?, surely there's some way of "fixing" the udp socket, as technically, UDP sockets shouldn't be aware of the status of a remote socket? Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks.
