  • Django apache-wsgi configuration problem

    Hi, I am trying to get my Django project running on the production server. I setup the environment using pip, so it is identical to the development environment where everything is running fine. The only difference is that I don't use virtualenv on production, because this project is the only one that is going to run on production. Also on production, there is an Nginx reverse proxy to serve static content, and passes dynamic requests to Apache2. The Apache wsgi file is as follows: import sys, os sys.path.append('/home/project/src') os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'settings' import django.core.handlers.wsgi application = django.core.handlers.wsgi.WSGIHandler() When I access the server, I get an import error: ImproperlyConfigured: Error importing middleware middleware: "cannot import name UserProfile" Which refers to the middleware.py under src/ folder which is referred by the settings. But I can import both the middleware and the UserProfile class from within ./manage.py shell prompt. It seems like a problem with paths in wsgi file but I cannot see what. The directory structure is: /home/project /home/project/src (which contains the settings.py, middleware.py and app folders) /home/apache/apache.wsgi Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, oMat

  • Can I have two separate projects, 1 WebForms and 1 ASP.NET MVC, to both point to the same domain?

    Is it possible to setup two separate projects, 1 WebForms and 1 ASP.NET MVC, to both point to the same domain? i.e. both point to different pages within www.somesite.com. Here's some background on the application and why I'm asking. This is a brownfield application that is currently 2.0 WebForms and is full of WebFormy 'goodness' (i.e. ObjectDataSources, FormView controls, UpdatePanels, etc...) There are lost of other 'fun' things in the code base like 600+ Stored Procedures and 200+ line methods in the business layer code that get data from the DB via stored proc, do some processing on the data, build an HTML string using string concatenation and then return that string to the UI layer. What we are planning on doing is developing new features in MVC and slowly converting the existing features over to MVC one at a time. As part of this transition, we will also be re-writing the layers below the UI to clean up the mess there and to do things like replace the stored procedures with NHibernate and introduce an IOC container. I know that you can run WebForms and MVC side-by-side in the same project, however, because we will be making wholesale changes to the way we do many things throughout our entire development stack, I'd like the new stuff to be a completely separate project within the solution. This should help serve as very visual reminder that this is a different way of doing things than before and make it easier to remove the old code as it is no longer needed. What I don't know is, is this even possible? Can two separate project point to the same domain?     i am not sure if this is the correct way of doing but i read that you not suppose to have a WCF Service Library reference in your web form project rather you add endpoints to your web.config, is that true? here is what i have done: 1) create a WCF service library project 2) create a simple service called "MyService.svc" WebForm: 1) Create a web project 2) create a WCF Service and in it i have this code <%@ ServiceHost Language="C#" Service="WCFJQuery.ContactBLL.Implementation.ContactUs" Factory="System.ServiceModel.Activation.WebScriptServiceHostFactory" %> 3) right click on the web proejct and "Add Reference" and add teh MyService.dll reference from WCF service library project. is this something how you suppose to do?

  • What's a good library to do computational geometry (like CGAL) in a garbage-collected language?

    I need a library to handle computational geometry in a project, especially boolean operations, but just about every feature is useful. The best library I can find for this is CGAL, but this is the sort of project I would hesitate to make without garbage collection. What language/library pairs can you recommend? So far my best bet is importing CGAL into D. There is also a project for making Python bindings for CGAL, but it's very incomplete.

  • How do I change an existing XCode target from dynamic to static?

    I'm working with an existing project that produces a dynamic library (Cocoa API). I'd rather generate a static library, but if I change the [Linking|Mach-O Type] field from "Dynamic Library" to "Static Library", both the Clean Project and Build Project complain that the target has an invalid MACH_O_TYPE value of 'staticlib'. Is there a straightforward way to get the build to produce a static .a file? Thanks, Eric

  • Splitting EJBs and interfaces into separate module -- deployment fails

    I'm having trouble following this guide to "extract" my interfaces and entities from my EAR to use them from another Web Application: I use NetBeans 6.8 and Glassfish 3.0.1 "Java Class Library" project contains all the entities and interfaces "Java EE Application" project class library added to the project, is packaged into the EAR contains EJB implementations, MDBs, Test "Java Web Application" project class library added to the project, is packaged into the WAR contains REST interface When I build and deploy the Web Application, all goes well. When I build the JEE application, I can see the jar-file (interfaces, entities) being included.     Does anyone know how to delete all VB code form an Excel workbook using C#? This code doesn’t work. It removes first (last one) VBComponent, but rises ArgumentException on second one. VBProject project = workbook.VBProject; int componentsCount = project.VBComponents.Count; for (int i = componentsCount; i >= 1; i--) { VBComponent component = project.VBComponents.Item(i); project.VBComponents.Remove(component); } Any suggestions? :)
