  • Project summary - Source code lines

    - by MartyIX
I'm looking for a tool that would count the number of files, the number of lines (with or without comments) and possibly other statistics for my project in PHP and JavaScript. Notes: I've already found SLOCCount which seems quite nice. It requires Cygwin. Yes, I can wrote a simple script for basic information but I'm looking for something more complex. Do you know about alternatives for Windows? Thanks!

  • Compiling LaTex bib source

    - by Klaus
Hi I am writing my thesis in Latex, and I have the references in an own thesis.bib file which look as follows @Article{xxx, author = "D.A. Reinhard", title = "Case Study", year = "1985", } and I reference them in my main document as ~\cite{xxx} When I compile then the main document with: pdflatex main.tex than it shows me question marks instead of the proper references to the bibliography. Do I also need to compile the bib source on its own? If yes, can somebody please tell me the command for Linux Many thanks!

  • How does the setup bootstrapper detect if prerequisites are installed?

    - by Marek
Trying to solve this problem. I would like to learn how the bootstrapper detects if prerequisites (specifically .NET 3.5) are installed. According to this reference, a way to detect if .NET is installed is to check the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v3.5 Using process monitor, I have inspected registry queries done by the bootstrapper (setup.exe) and it did not show any access to this registry key. Does anybody know how the bootstrapper determines whether the prerequisites are installed on the target system?

  • fill gridview cell-by-cell

    - by raging_boner
    I want to populate GridView below with images: <asp:GridView ID="GrdDynamic" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False"> <Columns> </Columns> </asp:GridView> The code below iterates through directory, then I collect image titles and want them to be populated in gridview. code in bold is not working well, gridview is only filled with the last image in list. List<string> imagelist = new List<string>(); protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { foreach (String image in Directory.GetFiles(Server.MapPath("example/"))) { imagelist.Add("~/example/" + Path.GetFileName(image)); } loadDynamicGrid(imagelist); } private void loadDynamicGrid(List<string> list) { DataTable dt = new DataTable(); DataColumn dcol = new DataColumn(NAME, typeof(System.String)); dt.Columns.Add(dcol); dcol = new DataColumn("NAME1", typeof(System.String)); dt.Columns.Add(dcol); dcol = new DataColumn("NAME2", typeof(System.String)); dt.Columns.Add(dcol); dcol = new DataColumn("NAME3", typeof(System.String)); dt.Columns.Add(dcol); DataRow drow = dt.NewRow(); dt.Rows.Add(); dt.Rows.Add(); **for (int i = 0; i < dt.Rows.Count; i++) { for (int j = 0; j < dt.Columns.Count; j++) { foreach (string value in list) { dt.Rows[i][j] = value; } } }** foreach (DataColumn col in dt.Columns) { ImageField bfield = new ImageField(); bfield.DataImageUrlField = NAME; bfield.HeaderText = col.ColumnName; GrdDynamic.Columns.Add(bfield); } GrdDynamic.DataSource = dt; GrdDynamic.DataBind(); } how to fill gridview cell-by-cell only with available amount of images? i know it is easy, i tried various methods like: dt.Rows.Add(list); and some other attempts, but they didn't work. i'm very stupid. i'd be glad for any help.

  • Member variable pointers to COM objects

    - by drelihan
Hi Folks, Is there any problem with keeping member variable pointer refernces to COM objects and reussing the reference through out the class in C++. Is anybody aware of a reason why you would want to call .CreateInstance every time you wanted a to use the COM object i.e. you were getting a fresh instance each time. I cannot see any reason who you would want to do this, Thanks, (No is an acceptable answer!!!)

  • XPathNavigator in Silverlight

    - by vladimir
I have a code library that makes heavy use of XPathNavigator to parse some specific xml document. The xml document is cross-referenced, meaning that an element can reference another which has not yet been encountered during parsing: <ElementA ...> <DependentElementX id="1234"> </ElementA> <ElementX id="1234" .../> The document doesn't really look like this, but the point is that 1) there is an xml schema that enforces the overall document structure, 2) elements inside the document can reference each other using some IDs, and 3) there is quite a few such cross references between different elements in the document. The document is parsed in two phases. In the first pass I walk through the document XPathDocument doc = ...; XPathNavigator nav = doc.CreateNavigator(); nav.MoveToRoot(); nav.MoveToFirstChild()... and occasionally 'bookmark' the current position (element) in the document using XPathNavigator.Clone() method. This gives me a lightweight instance of an XPathNavigator which I can store somewhere and use later to jump back to a particular place (element) in my document. Once I have enough information collected in the first pass (for example, I have made sure there is indeed an ElementX with an id='1234'), I jump back to saved bookmarks (using those saved XPathNavigators) and complete the parsing. Well, now I'm about to use this library in Silverlight 3.0 and to my horror the XPathNavigator is not in the System.Xml assembly. Questions: 1) Am I missing something obvious (i.e. XPathNavigator does exist in some shape or form, for example in a toolkit or a freeware library)? 2) If I do have to make modifications in the code, what would be the best way to go? Ideally, I would like to make minimal changes, not to rewrite 80% of the code just to be able to use something like XLinq. To resume, in case I have to give up XPathNavigator, all I need is a way to bookmark places in my document and to get back to them so that I can continue to iterate from where I left off. Thanks in advance for any help/ideas.

  • Function lfit in numerical recipes, providing a test function

    - by Simon Walker
Hi I am trying to fit collected data to a polynomial equation and I found the lfit function from Numerical Recipes. I only have access to the second edition, so am using that. I have read about the lfit function and its parameters, one of which is a function pointer, given in the documentation as void (*funcs)(float, float [], int)) with the help The user supplies a routine funcs(x,afunc,ma) that returns the ma basis functions evaluated at x = x in the array afunc[1..ma]. I am struggling to understand how this lfit function works. An example function I found is given below: void fpoly(float x, float p[], int np) /*Fitting routine for a polynomial of degree np-1, with coe?cients in the array p[1..np].*/ { int j; p[1]=1.0; for (j=2;j<=np;j++) p[j]=p[j-1]*x; } When I run through the source code for the lfit function in gdb I can see no reference to the funcs pointer. When I try and fit a simple data set with the function, I get the following error message. Numerical Recipes run-time error... gaussj: Singular Matrix ...now exiting to system... Clearly somehow a matrix is getting defined with all zeroes. I am going to involve this function fitting in a large loop so using another language is not really an option. Hence why I am planning on using C/C++. For reference, the test program is given here: int main() { float x[5] = {0., 0., 1., 2., 3.}; float y[5] = {0., 0., 1.2, 3.9, 7.5}; float sig[5] = {1., 1., 1., 1., 1.}; int ndat = 4; int ma = 4; /* parameters in equation */ float a[5] = {1, 1, 1, 0.1, 1.5}; int ia[5] = {1, 1, 1, 1, 1}; float **covar = matrix(1, ma, 1, ma); float chisq = 0; lfit(x,y,sig, ndat,a,ia,ma,covar,&chisq, fpoly); printf("%f\n", chisq); free_matrix(covar, 1, ma, 1, ma); return 0; } Also confusing the issue, all the Numerical Recipes functions are 1 array-indexed so if anyone has corrections to my array declarations let me know also! Cheers

  • Infinite scrolling in Silverlight

    - by shannon.stewart
I've found a few questions about infinite scrolling already posted, but none were about Silverlight, so I thought I'd ask. I've done some initial searching, but haven't been able to find any reference material on how to implement infinite scrolling in Silverlight. This is more of a brain-storming exercise so I can get some thoughts on different ways to implement this.

  • PNGException "crc corruption" when attempting to create ImageIcon objects from ZIP archive

    - by Nathan Strong
I've got a ZIP file containing a number of PNG images that I am trying to load into my Java application as ImageIcon resources directly from the archive. Here's my code: import java.io.*; import java.util.Enumeration; import java.util.zip.*; import javax.swing.ImageIcon; public class Test { public static void main( String[] args ) { if( args.length == 0 ) { System.out.println("usage: java Test.java file.zip"); return; } File archive = new File( args[0] ); if( !archive.exists() || !archive.canRead() ) { System.err.printf("Unable to find/access %s.\n", archive); return; } try { ZipFile zip = new ZipFile(archive); Enumeration <? extends ZipEntry>e = zip.entries(); while( e.hasMoreElements() ) { ZipEntry entry = (ZipEntry) e.nextElement(); int size = (int) entry.getSize(); int count = (size % 1024 == 0) ? size / 1024 : (size / 1024)+1; int offset = 0; int nread, toRead; byte[] buffer = new byte[size]; for( int i = 0; i < count; i++ ) { offset = 1024*i; toRead = (size-offset > 1024) ? 1024 : size-offset; nread = zip.getInputStream(entry).read(buffer, offset, toRead); } ImageIcon icon = new ImageIcon(buffer); // boom -- why? } zip.close(); } catch( IOException ex ) { System.err.println(ex.getMessage()); } } } The sizes reported by entry.getSize() match the uncompressed size of the PNG files, and I am able to read the data out of the archive without any exceptions, but the creation of the ImageIcon blows up. The stacktrace: sun.awt.image.PNGImageDecoder$PNGException: crc corruption at sun.awt.image.PNGImageDecoder.getChunk(PNGImageDecoder.java:699) at sun.awt.image.PNGImageDecoder.getData(PNGImageDecoder.java:707) at sun.awt.image.PNGImageDecoder.produceImage(PNGImageDecoder.java:234) at sun.awt.image.InputStreamImageSource.doFetch(InputStreamImageSource.java:246) at sun.awt.image.ImageFetcher.fetchloop(ImageFetcher.java:172) at sun.awt.image.ImageFetcher.run(ImageFetcher.java:136) sun.awt.image.PNGImageDecoder$PNGException: crc corruption at sun.awt.image.PNGImageDecoder.getChunk(PNGImageDecoder.java:699) at sun.awt.image.PNGImageDecoder.getData(PNGImageDecoder.java:707) at sun.awt.image.PNGImageDecoder.produceImage(PNGImageDecoder.java:234) at sun.awt.image.InputStreamImageSource.doFetch(InputStreamImageSource.java:246) at sun.awt.image.ImageFetcher.fetchloop(ImageFetcher.java:172) at sun.awt.image.ImageFetcher.run(ImageFetcher.java:136) Can anyone shed some light on it? I have a custom control that inherits from ContentControl. Inside the generic.xaml file is a simple Grid with 2 rows: Row 1 - A toggle button Row 2 - A StackPanel with a TextBlock, named "Stackpanel1" The ToggleButton has its own nested ControlTemplate which has VisualStates for Checked/Unchecked. Is it possible to reference "Stackpanel1" from inside the ToggleButton's control template somehow? In order to show or hide the stackpanel.

  • Is there a tool out there that lets you print a colour chart / palette of colours used on a web page

    - by undefined
I want to print a table of the colours used in a web page that my graphic designer has produced - I have .png files at present and use Fireworks to view them. It would be great if there was a tool that lets you print a table with the colour and hex value so I can easily reference when programming. Anyone come across such a thing? Sounds to me like there should be a firefox extension or similar?

There are 2 different constants that have same description (http://developer.android.com/intl/de/reference/android/R.attr.html#configChanges) orientation 0x0080 The screen orientation has changed, that is the user has rotated the device. screenLayout 0x0100 The screen orientation has changed, that is the user has rotated the device. Many sources suggest to specify: android:configChanges="keyboardHidden|orientation" But should not it be: android:configChanges="keyboardHidden|orientation|screenLayout"
