• Adding Parsekit To An Xcode Project

  I am trying to add the Parsekit framework to my OSX Xcode project. I've never added a 3rd party framework before and I can't get it to work right. I dragged the included Xcode project into my 'Groups & Files' pane and chose to Add it to my project. I then dragged Parsekit.framework underneath the Link Binary With Libraries heading. Then I double-clicked my target app and added Parsekit as a Direct Dependency. I also added libicucore.dylib as a Linked Library (as it says to do this on their site). Finally, in the Build settings tab of my target info I set the Header Search Paths to /Users/path/to/include/directory and the Other Linker Flags to -ObjC -all_load. Running this as a debug build work fine with no errors. However, when I build my app to release and then try to run the executable created, the app fails to load with the following error message: MyApp cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure myApp works with this version of Mac OS X. • How to use ResourceManager in a "website" mode ?

  I am trying here to do a manual translation for the application I am working with. (There is already a working LocalizationModule but it's working dodgy, so I can't use <asp:Localize /> tags. Normally with ResourceManager you are supposed to be using it as Namespace.Folder.Resourcename (in an application). Currently I am translating an existing asp.net "website" (not web application so no namespace here....). The resources are located into a folder name "Locales/resources" which contains "fr-ca.resx" and "en-us.resx". • Snippets in Vim not working

  I've been trying to get snippets to work with Vim (specifically, MacVim). I have tried both snippetsEmu and snipMate (preferred). Other plugins are working fine. I have been able to get snippetsEmu to temporarily work via A Byte of Vim's note to run :runtime! ftplugin/python_snippets.vim if they aren't working, except the author doesn't mention why they may not be working or what kind of permanent solutions are available. So, basically when I type for<tab> in a PHP file it just puts a tab after 'for' instead of expanding into the snippet. I'm new to Vim and can't seem to figure this out. The only main difference that these two plugins (snippetsEmu and snipMate) have compared to other plugins is that they use the ~/.vim/after directory. But knowing that hasn't helped me any. What I have seen some people suggest is to make sure the following is in your .vimrc file, but this has not helped: set nocompatible filetype on filetype plugin on

  I get this exception when my client application is trying to deserialize a message comming from WCF service ("Incorrect wire-type deserializing TimeSpan"). I'm using .NET 3.5 SP1 and latest version of protobuf-net (1.0.0.275). I have no idea what could be the issue comming from. I don't undersand the reason of this error message. Anyone?

• Does a custom DataGridView Cell have to have a parameterless constructor?

  I want to slight variation of the custom cell code example from the MS website How to: Customize Cells and Columns in the Windows Forms DataGridView Control by Extending Their Behavior and Appearance by passing an argument to the custom cell constructor. Public Sub New(ByVal a As Object) End Sub but then when I run the code it throws and exception MissingMethodException occured No parameterless constructor defined for this object. Otherwise I'll get a null exception in the second part.

• What is SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress used for?

  I used to think that using SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress, I can reuse a port that is in TIME_WAIT state. But I tried to experiment with it and it seems it has no effect. If I check sockets using netstat, and it shows the socket is in TIME_WAIT state and I immediately run the client again, I get the exception: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted 172.16.16.16:12345 I cannot make anything out of it. Please can you elaborate what SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress is good for?

  I'm developing an iPhone application. I have an EXC_BAD_ACCESS that occurs only in the release target; when I build the debug target the exception does not occur. However, when I set the NSZombieEnabled environment variable to YES, I still get the EXC_BAD_ACCESS with no further information. Is it even possible for NSZombieEnabled to work when executing the release target? I don't see why not, since gdb is running in both cases...

But several things can go wrong in some of these methods and returning a E_FAIL just doesn't cut it. What can i do in order to return more information? Can i make a HRESULT of my own?

  I am importing SSIS packages to SQL Server 2008 that were originally built for SQL Server 2005. I upgraded them in VS2008 and them imported them. They all import and work except for the one with the Konesans File system Watcher task. I installed in the setup exe for Konesans File system Watcher SQL Server 2008 on my dev pc and the production server, but still get this error: Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0010026 (Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSRuntimeWrap) Any advice?

• Unselect Databound Combobox Winforms .NET

  The problem: combobox is databound to a DataView, first item in the dataview is DataRowView whose fields are DBNull.Value; Combo DropdownStyle = ComboBoxStyle.DropDownList Loads fine, displays fine, selects fine, problem is to Unselect via code. Setting the SelectedIndex to 0 throws an exception. (Setting to -1 is a no-no as per msdn doco that says dont set SelectedIndex=-1 if databound) So how to unselect without throwing an exception ? For now i wrapped it into a try/catch to just ignore the error! EDIT: As asked by Hubeza, i worked on sample code to post. Did a stripped down version of the original code in C# (original is in VB.NET) and could NOT reproduce it either. Converted to VB.NET and could NOT reproduce it either ! In other words, SelectedIndex = 0 does work in the stripped down version! Currently further investigating what else could be wrong with the original code. EDIT2: Case Closed. Call me a stupid fool if you like, and apologies for wasting anyone's time - The error was originating from MyComboBox_SelectedIndexChanged event, which i neglected to check ! • Possible uncommitted transactions causing "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired" erro

  My application requires a user to log in and allows them to edit a list of things. However, it seems that if the same user always logs in and out and edits the list, this user will run into a "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired." error. I've read comments about increasing the timeout period but I've also read a comment about it possibly caused by uncommitted transactions. And I do have one going in the application. I'll provide the code I'm working with and there is an IF statement in there that I was a little iffy about but it seemed like a reasonable thing to do. I'll just go over what's going on here, there is a list of objects to update or add into the database. New objects created in the application are given an ID of 0 while existing objects have their own ID's generated from the DB. If the user chooses to delete some objects, their IDs are stored in a separate list of Integers. Once the user is ready to save their changes, the two lists are passed into this method. By use of the IF statement, objects with ID of 0 are added (using the Add stored procedure) and those objects with non-zero IDs are updated (using the Update stored procedure). After all this, a FOR loop goes through all the integers in the "removal" list and uses the Delete stored procedure to remove them. A transaction is used for all this. Other users can log in to the system at the same time just fine though. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 to debug and am using SQL Server 2000 for the DB.

• How to select TreePanel node(Parent/child) in selenium java

  My Application having TreePanel Element and I have to select the root node at the begining to add child node underit. When I try to click on root node using its XPATH String locator = "//div[@id='resultPropertyTree']/div/table/tbody/tr/td"; selenium.clickAt(locator,"0,1"); The entire element is going invisible hence script throwing debug exception saying the element is invisible/not got the focus etc. Can anybody help me out on handling above is appreciated. • json-framework error in iPhone static library

  I have an iPhone app that uses the json-framework. I moved some of the code, including the json-framework source, from the main project to a static library. When I did this, the json-framework stopped getting compiled into the binary (double checked with class dump). This causes a nasty error: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[NSCFString JSONValue]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x43897f0' Everything else in the static library continues to function properly.

  Hi, When I try to call a method from a local ejb I have this error : java.lang.VerifyError: com/pwc/lu/ejb/hcfollowup/staff/HCFStaffManagerLocal.getPersonById(Ljava/lang/Integer;)Lcom/pwc/lu/mapping/hcfollowup/hibernate/global/Person; HCFStaffManagerLocal is my local interface and getPersonById an ejb method. Person, the result type. I can get my ejb but error occurs when trying to call getPersonById method. I don't understand why it get an exception for Person class... Any ideas ?

• wsimport out of memory issues in Java 1.6

  I'm using wsimport in Java 1.6 (i.e. build 1.6.0-b105) on Windows XP 5.1 and I'm getting a out of memory exception. I used to JConsole and it seems wsimport process is maxing out at 64 MB. How can I increase the heap memory for wsimport? Thanks,
