• jQuery - Display the value of a textbox and input the value to another

  Basically I want to get the value of a textbox which is to select a date and output the value that is selected to another textbox. These textboxes are on the same page (different steps of the same page) and the document is loaded when the page is ready on click of the next step, I've tried using: $('#TextBox1').val($('#TextBox2').val()); But this doesn't seem to be working. What is it I am doing wrong?

Can you please recommend a plugin or two that would be best suited to this. I can see that there are a number of options out there. A few things to point out is that the title is coming from a variable escape(global_Current_ProductCode) variable=productcode in the case above it is LB30X40ES The height and weight, price and product id used in the second markup must be from the first markup. Note that these change depending on the product loaded. These are not constants. I would guess the first thing to do was to add the thickbox class. Then I am lost as to what to do next. Basically I need to open up an thickbox iframe with the modified markup.

  Hi, I want to disable a set of checkbox based on selection of one textbox and enable the disabled ones if the checkbox is unchecked. In the code below. If someone checks the checkbox for project cost under change this parameter then checkbox for project cost under Generate simulated value for this param should be disabled and all the checkboxes under change this parameter should be disabled except for checked one. Similarly this should be done each parameter like Project cost,avg hours,Project completion date, hourly rate etc. One way i could think of was of on the click function disable each checkbox by the id. • Triggering jquery event when an element appears on screen

  I want to show a fade effect as soon as the element appears on screen. There is a lot of content before this element so if I trigger the efect on document.ready, at certain resolutions the vistors wont´t see it. Is it possible to trigger an event when, after scrolling down, the element becomes visible? I am almost sure I have seen this effect before, but have no idea how to achieve it. Thank you!

• Getting HTMLUnknownElement with jQuery.find() and an XML Document

  I'm attempting to load up an XML document (specifically an RSS feed) via an Ajax request, parse it, and insert some information based on said feed into my page. The code works fine in Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and Safari, but not IE7. Go figure. After doing some initial debugging, I've found that the XML string is being retrieved via the request, and the specific node type I'm getting when trying to parse nodes out of the document is HTMLUnknownElement. Here's the relevant code: $.get('feed.php', function(oXmlDoc) { var titles = $(oXmlDoc).find('title'); var dates = $(oXmlDoc).find('pubDate'); for(var i = 0; i < 5; i++) { parseNodes(titles[i].firstChild.nodeValue, dates[i].firstChild.nodeValue)); } }); The parseNodes function is never actually being hit because IE cannot access firstChild and, consequently, nodeValue.
