  • Netbean 6.8: "Test RESTful Web Service" shows nothing

    I follow this tutorial here to create RESTful web service on Netbean 6.8. However, when I right click on the project node and select Test RESTful Web Service, the browser pop up, and supposedly my project would be listed on the left, and supposedly I would be able to select it, and test against various function that listed on the right. However, I dont see any of that. Any idea why?

    If there a way to protect against concurrent modifications of the same data base entry by two or more users? It would be acceptable to show an error message to the user performing the second commit/save operation, but data should not be silently overwritten. I think locking the entry is not an option, as a user might use the "Back" button or simply close his browser, leaving the lock for ever.

    When I submit a form, I can see my browser's progress bar slowly increased, it takes 4-6s to submit a form. It was a generic form like : <form id="someid" name="someName" action="someAction.do"> ... </form> I test it in IE8 and Firefox 3,both are very slow. My network condition is fine, my server works great. What could be the problem?

    tracert mojpacient.si return over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 89-212-252-73.static.t-2.net [89.212.252.73] but if in browser i run www.mojpacient.si when i am connected to server i get connection timeout. If i am out of local network then i can connect to mojpacient.si Does anyone have any idea how is this possible and what is wrong. I suspect IIS7 but do not know what in IIS7.

    This is a tall order, but is there a jQuery or Mootools (or other framework) plugin to wrap text around images and support IE6? I've tried the jQSlickWrap, but unless the browser supports HTML 5, you're out of luck. What's strange is that IE 6 supports the jQuery Background Canvas plugin, which uses the CANVAS object (via excanvas.js) just as this plugin does. Thanks.

  • PHP, Ajax, and the lifespan of the request

    I was wondering about the lifespan of a PHP script when called via Ajax. Assume that there is a long-running (i.e. 30 seconds) PHP script on a server and that page is loaded via Ajax. Before the script completes, the user closes the browser. Does the script continue running to completion, is it terminated, or is this a function of the server itself (I'm running Apache fwiw).     I have index.php which uploads a file to server and sets several PHP variables (like $target_folder_and_file_name). index.php also has the following line (it was originally index.html): <script language="JavaScript" src="main.js.php"></script> After index.php returned to the browser, the browsers asks for main.js.php from the server (right?). Can I access somehow $target_folder_and_file_name from the PHP code in main.js.php ?

    Hi, Has anyone encountered something like this? I was expecting file.txt to be inside "testbranch/src/" folder after executing the command written command. But I get entry at "testbranch/src" to be a file type rather than directory type!     As I had feared some of our old VB6 projects are not playing nice with Windows 7. Some of our customers have already upgraded and our one product is returning this error every time you run the executable: The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll First thing I tried was creating a .local in the folder so it uses all the DLL and OCX files packaged with the product. That didn't do anything, though I'm not sure if this .local trick still works in Win7. Tried turning on compatibility for several previous versions of Windows, that had no effect either. Hopefully someone else has some more suggestions, as my Google-Fu has failed me on this one.
