  • 500 - An error has occurred! DB function reports no errors when adding new article in Joomla!

    - by Roland
    I have an article that I want to publish on my Joomla! site. Every time I click apply or save. I get error 500 - An error has occurred! DB function reports no errors. I have no idea why this error comes up, al I can think is that it's a server error. I'm using TinyMCE to type articles together with Joomla! 1.5.11. Updated: I turned on Maximum error reporting in Joomla! and in the article manager I tried to save the article and got these couple of errors. Please check screenshot I tried adding <?php ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL); error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('log_errors',TRUE); ini_set('html_errors',TRUE); ini_set('display_errors',true); ?> at the top of the index.php pages for Joomla! but it does not show any errors. I checked the error logs on the server and also no errors come up. I managed to publish the article via phpMyAdmin but then something else happens. I try to access to article from the front end, by clicking on the link to the article, but only a blank page comes up. This is really weird, since the error log does not show any information. So I assume the error needs to be coming from Joomla! This happens if I add a print_r($_POST) before if (!$row->check()) { on /administrator/components/com_content/controller.php (around line 693) Array ( [title] => Test. [state] => 0 [alias] => test [frontpage] => 0 [sectionid] => 10 [catid] => 44 [details] => Array ( [created_by] => 62 [created_by_alias] => [access] => 0 [created] => 2008-10-25 13:31:21 [publish_up] => 2008-10-25 13:31:21 [publish_down] => Never ) [params] => Array ( [show_title] => [link_titles] => [show_intro] => [show_section] => [link_section] => [show_category] => [link_category] => [show_vote] => [show_author] => 1 [show_create_date] => 0 [show_modify_date] => 0 [show_pdf_icon] => [show_print_icon] => [show_email_icon] => [language] => [keyref] => [readmore] => ) [meta] => Array ( [description] => Test. Here is a link to the article (text file with the source I got from TinyMCE) Article

  • ASP.NET 4.0 UpdatePanel and UserControl with PlaceHolder

    - by Chris
    I don't know if this is ASP.NET 4.0 specific but I don't recall having this problem in previous versions. I have very simple user control called "TestModal" that contains a PlaceHolder control which I use to instantiate a template in. When I put an UpdatePanel inside this UserControl on the page the updatepanel only does full postbacks and not partial postbacks. What gives? USER CONTROL MARKUP: <%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="TestModal.ascx.cs" Inherits="MyProject.UserControls.TestModal" %> <div id="<%= this.ClientID %>"> <asp:PlaceHolder ID="plchContentTemplate" runat="server"></asp:PlaceHolder> </div> USER CONTROL CODE BEHIND: public partial class TestModal : System.Web.UI.UserControl { private ITemplate _contentTemplate; [TemplateInstance(TemplateInstance.Single)] [PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty), TemplateContainer(typeof(TemplateControl))] public ITemplate ContentTemplate { get { return _contentTemplate; } set { _contentTemplate = value; } } protected override void OnInit(EventArgs e) { base.OnInit(e); if (_contentTemplate != null) _contentTemplate.InstantiateIn(plchContentTemplate); } } ASPX PAGE MARKUP: <ajaxToolkit:ToolkitScriptManager ID="scriptManager" EnablePartialRendering="true" AllowCustomErrorsRedirect="true" CombineScripts="true" EnablePageMethods="true" ScriptMode="Release" AsyncPostBackTimeout="180" runat="server"></ajaxToolkit:ToolkitScriptManager> <uc1:TestModal ID="testModal" ClientIDMode="Static" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:UpdatePanel ID="upAttachments" UpdateMode="Conditional" ChildrenAsTriggers="true" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:LinkButton ID="lnkRemoveAttachment" runat="server"><img src="/images/icons/trashcan.png" style="border: none;" /></asp:LinkButton> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> </ContentTemplate> </uc1:TestModal>

  • Redirect issues on rackspace

    - by galilee
    Hi, i'm trying to setup 301 redirects on a rackspace account- this is what I want to happen: www.test1.com/sub/index.asp - www.test2.com/index.asp test1.com is a new PHP version of an old ASP site (a subsection of which is now at test2.com), so any previous asp page links to the test1.com/sub/ need to go to the same page name at test2.co.nz. I've got folder redirects working fine using .htaccess, ie in test1.com/sub/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.test2.com/$1 [R=301,L] but anything with .asp doesn't redirect, but is trying to be handled by the server. I've also tried a web.config in test1.com/sub/ ie: <configuration<system.web <urlMappings enabled="true" <add url="index.asp" mappedUrl="http://test2.com.com/index.asp"/ <urlMappings </system.web </configuration this gives a 500 internal server error Any ideas?

  • .Net Crystal Report printing application running on termianal service connection errors when session

    - by MrEdmundo
    I have created a .Net application to run on an App Server that gets requests for a report and prints out the requested report. The C# application uses Crystal Reports to load the report and subsequently print it out. The application is run on Server which is connected to via a Remote Desktop connection under a particular user account (required for old apps). When I disconnect from the Remote Session the application starts raising exceptions such as: Message: CrystalDecisions.Shared.CrystalReportsException: Load report failed This type of error is never raised when the Remote Session is active. The server running the app is running Windows Server 2003, my box which creates the connection is Windows XP. I appreciate this is fairly weird, however I cannot see any problem with the application deployment I have created. Does anyone know what could be cause this issue? EDIT: I bit the bullet and created the application as a windows service, obviously this doesn't take long I just wasn't convinced it would solve the problem. Anyway it doesn't!!! I have also tried removing the multi-thread code that was calling the print function asynchronously. I did this in order to simply the app and narrow down the reason it could fail. Anyway, this didn't improve the situation either! EDIT: The two errors I get are: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80000201): Invalid printer specified. at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintOutputControllerClass.ModifyPrinterName(String newVal) at CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.PrintOptions.set_PrinterName(String value) at Dsa.PrintServer.Service.Service.PrintCrystalReport(Report report) The printer isn't invalid, this is confirmed when 60 seconds later the time ticks and the report is printed successfully. • Npgsql pass parameters by name to a stored function

    - by Jeff
    I'm working with code I'm converting to Pgsql working with .NET. I want to call a stored function that has several parameters, but I'd like to bind the parameters by name, like so: NpgsqlCommand command = new NpgsqlCommand("\"StoredFunction\"", _Connection) command.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; command.Parameters.Add("param2", value2); command.PArameters.Add("param1", value1); Attempts to do this so far look for a function with parameter types matching in the order in which I added the parameters to the collection, not by name. Is it possible for Npgsql to bind parameters to stored functions by name?

  • Optimized Image Loading in a UIScrollView

    - by Michael Gaylord
    I have a UIScrollView that has a set of images loaded side-by-side inside it. You can see an example of my app here: http://www.42restaurants.com. My problem comes in with memory usage. I want to lazy load the images as they are about to appear on the screen and unload images that aren't on screen. As you can see in the code I work out at a minimum which image I need to load and then assign the loading portion to an NSOperation and place it on an NSOperationQueue. Everything works great apart from a jerky scrolling experience. I don't know if anyone has any ideas as to how I can make this even more optimized, so that the loading time of each image is minimized or so that the scrolling is less jerky. - (void)scrollViewDidScroll:(UIScrollView *)scrollView{ [self manageThumbs]; } - (void) manageThumbs{ int centerIndex = [self centerThumbIndex]; if(lastCenterIndex == centerIndex){ return; } if(centerIndex >= totalThumbs){ return; } NSRange unloadRange; NSRange loadRange; int totalChange = lastCenterIndex - centerIndex; if(totalChange > 0){ //scrolling backwards loadRange.length = fabsf(totalChange); loadRange.location = centerIndex - 5; unloadRange.length = fabsf(totalChange); unloadRange.location = centerIndex + 6; }else if(totalChange < 0){ //scrolling forwards unloadRange.length = fabsf(totalChange); unloadRange.location = centerIndex - 6; loadRange.length = fabsf(totalChange); loadRange.location = centerIndex + 5; } [self unloadImages:unloadRange]; [self loadImages:loadRange]; lastCenterIndex = centerIndex; return; } - (void) unloadImages:(NSRange)range{ UIScrollView *scrollView = (UIScrollView *)[[self.view subviews] objectAtIndex:0]; for(int i = 0; i < range.length && range.location + i < [scrollView.subviews count]; i++){ UIView *subview = [scrollView.subviews objectAtIndex:(range.location + i)]; if(subview != nil && [subview isKindOfClass:[ThumbnailView class]]){ ThumbnailView *thumbView = (ThumbnailView *)subview; if(thumbView.loaded){ UnloadImageOperation *unloadOperation = [[UnloadImageOperation alloc] initWithOperableImage:thumbView]; [queue addOperation:unloadOperation]; [unloadOperation release]; } } } } - (void) loadImages:(NSRange)range{ UIScrollView *scrollView = (UIScrollView *)[[self.view subviews] objectAtIndex:0]; for(int i = 0; i < range.length && range.location + i < [scrollView.subviews count]; i++){ UIView *subview = [scrollView.subviews objectAtIndex:(range.location + i)]; if(subview != nil && [subview isKindOfClass:[ThumbnailView class]]){ ThumbnailView *thumbView = (ThumbnailView *)subview; if(!thumbView.loaded){ LoadImageOperation *loadOperation = [[LoadImageOperation alloc] initWithOperableImage:thumbView]; [queue addOperation:loadOperation]; [loadOperation release]; } } } } EDIT: Thanks for the really great responses. Here is my NSOperation code and ThumbnailView code. I tried a couple of things over the weekend but I only managed to improve performance by suspending the operation queue during scrolling and resuming it when scrolling is finished. Here are my code snippets: //In the init method queue = [[NSOperationQueue alloc] init]; [queue setMaxConcurrentOperationCount:4]; //In the thumbnail view the loadImage and unloadImage methods - (void) loadImage{ if(!loaded){ NSString *filename = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%03d-cover-front", recipe.identifier, recipe.identifier]; NSString *directory = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"RestaurantContent/%03d", recipe.identifier]; NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:filename ofType:@"png" inDirectory:directory]; UIImage *image = [UIImage imageWithContentsOfFile:path]; imageView = [[ImageView alloc] initWithImage:image andFrame:CGRectMake(0.0f, 0.0f, 176.0f, 262.0f)]; [self addSubview:imageView]; [self sendSubviewToBack:imageView]; [imageView release]; loaded = YES; } } - (void) unloadImage{ if(loaded){ [imageView removeFromSuperview]; imageView = nil; loaded = NO; } } Then my load and unload operations: - (id) initWithOperableImage:(id<OperableImage>) anOperableImage{ self = [super init]; if (self != nil) { self.image = anOperableImage; } return self; } //This is the main method in the load image operation - (void)main { [image loadImage]; } //This is the main method in the unload image operation - (void)main { [image unloadImage]; }

  • Wrong figures numbering - Package caption Error: Continued 'figure' after 'table'

    - by Eduardo
    Hello I am having a problem with the numbering of figures using Latex, I am getting this error message: Package caption Error: Continued 'figure' after 'table' This is my code: \begin{table} \centering \subfloat[Tabla1\label{tab:Tabla1}]{ \small \begin{tabular}{ | c | c | c | c | c |} \hline \multicolumn{5}{|c|}{\textbf{Tabla 1}} \\ \hline ... ... \end{tabular} } \qquad \subfloat[Tabla2\label{tab:Tabla2}]{ \small \begin{tabular}{ | c | c | c | c | c |} \hline \multicolumn{5}{|c|}{\textbf{Tabla 2}} \\ \hline ... ... \end{tabular} } \caption{These are tables} \label{tab:Tables} \end{table} \begin{figure} \centering \subfloat[][Figure 1]{\label{fig:fig1}\includegraphics[width = 14cm]{fig1}} \qquad \subfloat[][Figure 2]{\label{fig:fig2}\includegraphics[width = 14cm]{fig2}} \end{figure} \begin{figure}[t] \ContinuedFloat \subfloat[][Figure 2]{\label{fig:fig3}\includegraphics[width = 14cm]{fig3}} \caption{Those are figures} \label{fig:Figures} \end{figure} \newpage What I want to do, it is to have this configuration: Table Table Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 Since Figure 1 and Figure 2 are too big to fit vertically I want the Figure 3 to be alone in another page that's why I have the \ContinuedFloat. Externally looks fine but the problem is the numbering, I am getting for the Figures the number 5.2, that is the same number that a Figure I have before (The correct number should be 5.3). However if I try to reference the figures: \ref{fig:fig1}, \ref{fig:fig2} y \ref{fig:fig2} I get: 5.3a, 5.3b y 5.2c The two first right the last one wrong. I have been stuck with this for hours any ideas?. Thans a lot in advance

  • "invalid label" Firebug error with jQuery getJSON

    - by jerome
    Hi all, I'm making a jQuery getJSON request to another domain, so am making sure that my GET URI ends with "callback=?" (i.e. using JSONP). The NET panel shows that I am receiving the data as expected, but for some reason the Console logs the following error: "invalid label". The JSON validates with JSONLint so I doubt that there is anything truly wrong with the structure of the data. Any ideas why I might be receiving this error?

    I've declared a property in a view (created by interface builder, if it matters) and am trying to set the value from the view's controller – like so: self.view.url = someURL; That gives this error: Request for Member 'url' in something not a structure or union I have included the header for the view in the controller's .m file, but I'm probably just doing something wrong, but I don't know what – any ideas? The view code: @interface PDFView : UIView { NSURL *url; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSURL *url; @end @implementation PDFView @synthesize url;

  • How to build google breakpad

    - by Steve
    Hi, I'm totally lost on how to build Google's breakpad. There is a sln file, but it depends on a library that doesn't seem to have an associated sln. It seems to use something called gyp that I haven't figured out how to get working. I tried python gyp ..\breakpad\src\client\windows\breakpad_client.gyp and that just gives the following errors Traceback (most recent call last): File "gyp", line 18, in <module> sys.exit(gyp.main(sys.argv[1:])) File "pylib\gyp\__init__.py", line 445, in main options.circular_check) File "pylib\gyp\__init__.py", line 84, in Load depth, generator_input_info, check, circular_check) File "pylib\gyp\input.py", line 2165, in Load VerifyNoGYPFileCircularDependencies(targets) File "pylib\gyp\input.py", line 1429, in VerifyNoGYPFileCircularDependencies ' '.join(bad_files) gyp.input.CircularException: Some files not reachable, cycle in .gyp file dependency graph detected involving some or all of: ..\breakpad\src\client\windows\sender\crash_report_sender.gyp ..\breakpad\src\client\windows\h andler\exception_handler.gyp ..\breakpad\src\client\windows\breakpad_client.gyp ..\breakpad\src\client\windows\unittests\client_tests.gyp ..\breakpad\src\client\windows\crash_generation\crash_generation.gyp Which I can't make any sense out of. • Is KCFinder a legal alternative to CKFinder

    - by Jorre
    On the one hand there is http://ckfinder.com/ CKFinder or the people behind it have always been very vague about their licenses when we asked information about them, so we aren't really fond of using their commercially licensed products. So I've looked for an alternative and found http://kcfinder.sunhater.com which comes with an LGPL license, perfect for use in a commercial application that just wants to use the file browser and not modify it. Now they both look very similar and my question is: is KCfinder a legal alternative to CKfinder? Or is it an exact and modified copy? Does anyone know this or can find this out?

  • <rich:datatable> and <rich:datascroller> problem

    - by Bariscan
    Hi all, I am developing a Seam-Jsfv1.2-EJB3 web app. I have a datatable and checkboxes in each row. Moreover, I have a datascroller at the bottom of my table as well. My problem is when I click the next page number from the scroller, the selected checkboxes at the first page of the datatable is gone. I mean, even if they were selected, clicking the next page make them deselected. I see it by going back to the first page again by clicking the scroller. Do you have any idea about that problem? In order to clearify my case, I attached my code below: <rich:dataTable id="apiV2ProductList" rows="10" var="_apiV2Product" value="#{apiV2ProductList.resultList}" rendered="#{not empty apiV2ProductList.resultList}" reRender="ds"> <rich:column> <f:facet name="header"> <h:selectBooleanCheckbox id="selectionCheckAll" onclick="selectAll()" /> </f:facet> <h:selectBooleanCheckbox id="selectionCheck" onclick="increase(this)" value="#{_apiV2Product.selectValue}" > </h:selectBooleanCheckbox> </rich:column> ... <f:facet name="footer"> <rich:datascroller id="ds" renderIfSinglePage="false"> </rich:datascroller> </f:facet> Many thanks in advance. • JQuery validation without requiring MS scripts in asp.net mvc2 project

    - by Jim Geurts
    Is it possible to use the new client side validation features of asp.net MVC 2 without having to use the MS scripts (MicrosoftAjax.js, MicrosoftMvcAjax.js, MicrosoftMvcValidation.js)? I use JQuery throughout my application; JQuery has a great plugin for validation and I don't really want to force my users to load MS scripts just for validation. Is this possible? If so, any suggestions for how to accomplish it are appreciated.

  • Cognos 8.3 - date prompt macro problem

    - by Jacob
    In Report Studio 8.3, I've got this raw SQL query running against a MySQL 5.1 data source: SELECT enc.encounterID, enc.date FROM enc WHERE enc.date between #prompt('textPromptStartDate')# AND #prompt('textPromptEndDate', 'date')# This produces text prompts for the user. If the user enters dates into these prompts in the format of 'YYYY-MM-DD', e.g. '2010-01-15', the query works fine. But I want to replace the text prompts with proper Date prompts. When I try replacing the above prompts with #prompt('datePromptStartDate', 'date') AND #prompt('datePromptEndDate', 'date')# the query runs (no errors are generated), but I get an empty result set. I have a feeling I need to adjust the date format that the date prompt macro returns, but I'm stuck after many hours of experimentation as to how to debug this.

Is this a bug with webkit or am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance.

  • "Page description language" and "markup language"

    - by Tim
    What is the difference and relation between "Page description language"(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Page_description_language), "markup language" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markup_language) and "Page description markup language" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Page_description_markup_language)? Thanks! PostScript is a page description language. Is it a markup language? HTML and Latex are markup language. Are they page description language?

  • iPhone App IDs and Provisioning... Does App ID get used instead of provisioning ID if I decide to us

    - by Jann
    This is a question that has been bugging me for a while. I started my app (now submitted -- not yet approved) not wishing to get into the mess that is APNS (Push). I did the following: iPhone Developer Center: Provisioning Portal-Provisioning: Then I created a Development and a Distribution Provisioning Profile. I installed both in XCode. Everything hunky dory. The Development profile scares me a bit by expiring so soon (90 days) but I can remove it from the iPhone(s) and sign it with a new one later. I tested using the Development profile, and later to submitted it by signing it with the Distribution profile. I then uploaded the Distribution profile-signed app to iTunesConnect (app store). Okay, I understand that much. Now, what I don't understand is this: Now that I understand the theories and methods behind how Push works, I am wishing to add it to my app. I already went under: iPhone Developer Center: Provisioning Portal-App IDs: and created a Development Provisioning Profile and Distribution Provisioning Profile there (push & in-app purchase enabled). Here is where it gets confusing to me. All the books and docs I have read say that I have to sign the app with this "App ID" provisioning profile (push-enabled) from now on. Does that mean I no longer ever use the previously created provisioning profiles? If I were to import these "App ID" provisioning profiles into Xcode they will exist alongside my previously generated "non-push" profiles. ~/Library/Mobile Devices/Provisioning Profiles now has 2 files. One Devel and one Distrib. It will now have 4 even though for this app I will not use the "non-push" anymore right? (actually, since they are locked by using bundle-codes and app ids i will never use it again if all of my further versions of this app use Push?) Confused. Can anyone enlighten me? Why not use the "App ID" profiles in the first place for everyone -- even if you are not gonna use push? Would keep it simpler. Should I only generate "Push Enabled" profiles from now on -- even if i am not sure I am gonna use push (or for that matter in-app purchase)? Please give me some insight. I do not wanna do this wrong. Thanks! Jann

  • Resolve dependency with autofac based on constructor parameter attribute

    - by Andrew Davey
    I'm using AutoFac. I want to inject a different implementation of a dependency based on an attribute I apply to the constructor parameter. For example: class CustomerRepository { public CustomerRepository([CustomerDB] IObjectContainer db) { ... } } class FooRepository { public FooRepository([FooDB] IObjectContainer db) { ... } } builder.Register(c => /* return different instance based on attribute on the parameter */) .As<IObjectContainer>(); The attributes will be providing data, such as a connection string, which I can use to instance the correct object. How can I do this?

  • WCF: Server Not Found - from trace Empty Message when run async but works fine from console app?

    - by MrTortoise
    Todays cause of hair loss has been the following scenario: I have a service that takes 2 strings and returns another. This service uses basicHttpBinding <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="basicHttpNoSec"> <security mode="None" /> </binding> </basicHttpBinding> Anyway, it works fine from a console test app. I have a silverlight app sat on top which implements another basicHttpBinding service that simply reuses the contract in the other service and the silverlight App uses this service. I have a console app that confirms that this service is working and set up with basichttpbinding. I have all the clientAccessPolicy stuff in place. when I run the silverlight app the difference is that it runs everything async ... as such the only message i directly get back rom wcf is server not found. When i enable tracing I dig down to this message - as I know the methods work and the parameteres i pass in will return a valid string i am really puzzled at to what the cause is. any help much appreciated. <E2ETraceEvent xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2004/06/E2ETraceEvent"> <System xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2004/06/windows/eventlog/system"> <EventID>131075</EventID> <Type>3</Type> <SubType Name="Error">0</SubType> <Level>2</Level> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2010-06-07T14:17:40.6639249Z" /> <Source Name="System.ServiceModel" /> <Correlation ActivityID="{8ea9530e-12f4-4a82-9c26-dd2e23264c3c}" /> <Execution ProcessName="aspnet_wp" ProcessID="4616" ThreadID="6" /> <Channel /> <Computer>5JC2Y2J</Computer> </System> <ApplicationData> <TraceData> <DataItem> <TraceRecord xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2004/10/E2ETraceEvent/TraceRecord" Severity="Error"> <TraceIdentifier>http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-GB/library/System.ServiceModel.Diagnostics.ThrowingException.aspx</TraceIdentifier> <Description>Throwing an exception.</Description> <AppDomain>/LM/w3svc/1/ROOT/CopSilverlight.Web-1-129203938565564172</AppDomain> <Exception> <ExceptionType>System.ServiceModel.ProtocolException, System.ServiceModel, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089</ExceptionType> <Message>There is a problem with the XML that was received from the network. • Self hosted WCF ServiceHost/WebServiceHost Concurrency/Peformance Design Options (.NET 3.5)

    - by Kyle
    So I'll be providing a few functions via a self hosted (in a WindowsService) WebServiceHost (not sure how to process HTTP GET/POST with ServiceHost), one of which may be called a large amount of the time. This function will also rely on a connection in the appdomain (hosted by the WindowsService so it can stay alive over multiple requests). I have the following concerns and would be oh so thankful for any input/thoughts/comments: Concurrent access - how does the WebServiceHost handle a bunch of concurrent requests. Are they queued and processes sequentially or are new instances of the contracts automagically created? WebServiceHost - WindowsService communication - I need some form of communication from the WebServiceHost to the hosting WindowsService for things like requesting a new session if one does not exist. Perhaps implementing a class which extends the WebServiceHost with events which the WindowsService subscribes to... (unless there is another way I can set off an event in the WindowsService when a request is made...) Multiple WebServiceHosts or Contracts - Would it give any real performance gain to be running multiple WebServiceHost instances in different threads (one per endpoint perhaps?) - A better understanding of the first point would probably help here. WSDL - I'm not sure why (probably just need to do more reading), but I'm not sure how to get the WebServiceHost base endpoint to respond with a WDSL document describing the available contract. Not required as all the operations will be done via GET requests which will not likely change, but it would be nice to have... That's about it for the moment ;) I've been reading a lot on WCF and wish I'd gotten into it long ago, but definitely still learning.

  • Adding a UserControl within another UserControl in Sharepoint 2007

    - by DougJones
    I am using WSPBuilder to create and deploy my web part from a user control, as shown here. This works perfectly well, but I have added another user control to the project. I am adding it in page_init by going the Page.LoadControl("~/_controltemplates/MyControl.ascx"); route. It builds successfully, but after adding it to the page, I get The referenced file '/MyControl.ascx' is not allowed on this page. This control is in the ControlTemplates folder in the hive. In the web.config for this sharepoint 2007 site, all items within _controltemplates are listed as safe, as shown here <SafeControl Src="~/_controltemplates/*" IncludeSubFolders="True" Safe="True" AllowRemoteDesigner="True" /> How do I get the ascx file to be allowed on the page and get this webpart to display successfully?
