In Exchange 2010, its possible to set a user message that appears in Outlook 2010 above the 'Send' button when composing a new email. Can anyone advise where this is configured?
Thanks, Duncan
Hey all,
Not sure what happened over the weekend, but since this morning everytime I use google I get a popup from Chrome saying "It looks like you've moved. Would you like to use http://www.google.com/ ?" (as opposed to my usual google.nl).
What does this mean, and how do I disable the popup? Clicking No or the close button didn't solve it, and I don't want to click Yes because I like my Google localized.
my shuffle feature has stopped operating correctly on my iphone 3g. have i inadvertantly selected a setting or pushed a touch button? also, the music progress bar at the top of the screen is now missing? what gives.

I have a Windows Mobile (5.1.195) phone/PDA (MIO A701) that sometimes runs out of memory. How do I shut it down/reboot it without pressing the reset button or pulling the battery?
The trouble with reset/pulling the battery is that it always resets the ring tones etc to default settings.
I want a dock like MacOSX Leopard's, for my Windows 7.
Required features:
display all open windows, not just minimized ones
when I maximize windows, I don't want them to go under the dock. The bottom part of my screen should be empty except for the dock there.
a "start menu" button
a clock of some sort
So far I've tried RocketDock and RK Launcher. They lack some of the above.
I just made some changes to a DNS zone in Webmin and clicked the "Apply Changes" button. I received the error message:
rndc: connection to remote host closed This may indicate that the remote server is using an older version of the command protocol, this host is not authorized to connect, or the key is invalid
How can I troubleshoot / repair this? I copied parts of the BIND config from a failing server, so I suspect that's what causing it...
Hi there,
xev does not react to the pressing of the two button meantioned above.
Thus xorg doesn't recognize them.
How can I "enable" them?
thanks in regard
ps: http://lenovoblogs.com/designmatters/?p=2364 that's the keyboard
I remember with Windows XP, minimize used to be like alt m - n or something.
In Windows 7, it is Windows - Down.
The problem with that though is that you have to use both hands (the Window button is too far away from the directional buttons), which is kind of annoying because generally, one of my hands is on the mouse.
Is there any other keyboard to minimize a window besides Windows - Down in Windows 7?
I see lots of documentation on how to manually set up a network bridge and then manually add vm's tun devices to these bridges and then write a shell script that glues it all together. lots of work, very manual, and not impressive.
On the other hand if you want to use NAT to KVM+libvirt VMs to the network you just click the new network button in the virt-manager gui and relax.
Am I missing "the easy way" of causing a VM to share the physical network with the host?
Is there an easy way in windows to set a given string, like "sidb" to run a program or open a given folder in Windows?
My original idea was to be able to run commands like that in the "Execute" start button menu (or Win + R),so I'd just have to do WIN+R and type "sidb".
What is the best way to accomplish this?
EDIT:
May I rephrase this as : Is there a way to define for example, in systems variables, sibd="C:.......blabla\ and then I'd just have to type "sibd" in Run?
I use Windows 7's command prompt (cmd.exe) for various tasks.
In order to copy text from it, I right click and choose Mark, and then mark the text I want to copy.
Sometimes while doing this, the marking doesn't stick. The minute I release the left mouse button after marking the text, the marking disappears.
This has happened on every Windows 7 installation I've ever installed.
How do I solve this?
This is driving me nuts!
Is there a way to quickly insert a line to an existing Word 2007 table? In Word 2003 there was a specific button for this - it was quite easy to splice and dice existing cells in an existing table.
Hi,
Not sure whether this question belongs here, I hope so. I have just bought a motherboard and CPU.
I have installed the CPU, cooler and connected to CPUFAN on the MB. I have plugged the power supply to MB and the cable from "ON" button to pins named "PWR" and the LEDs.
However when I turn on the PC, both HDD and POWER leds are continously on and the PC cannot be turned out. What could I be missing?
I'm in the midst of building a computer (first time builder)
I got everything plugged in, and hit the power button. After the excitement of the first boot coming up on my screen, I was looking through the BIOS settings. However, joy soon turned sour, as I looked at the list of installed SATA devices. My DVD drive wasn't on the list :(
So, what are common things I should check/try?
2 finger commands for scrolling up and down a page work, but 3 and 4 button mouse commands don't work anymore in my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard.
What happened? How can they be re-enabled?
I have just got a 15" Digimate TFT LCD monitor. I'm running Windows 7.
Now the icons are too big, as are the windows in both browsers and word processing software - and everything has a bit to the left cut off, so for instance I can no longer see the back button in Chrome.
I've tried looking at the resolution and adjusting the monitor settings, but no luck. I've also tried updating drivers, but can't find any compatible ones.
After reading this thread I might have sorted out why the CHKDSK-prompt starts.
But the biggest problem is that when it prompts me with Press any key with in 10..0 seconds,
nothing happens until the timer hits 6, then it starts the check even though I've pressed any button (and yet it's 4 seconds left).
This question states the problem as it appears at me, though the answer is wrong.
Why does the actual check start after 6 seconds, and is there any way to disable it from within Windows?
That I know:
In command line, use TAB to autocomplete the commands.
You need just to select a text to copy it, and use mouse middle button to paste.
Which other "untold" secrets Ubuntu hides?
obs. I don't know which of the items I told are for any Linux or Ubuntu specific.
IT is a small area within the normal icons area on desktop of Windows 7 64bits version. It looks normal but when I try to click on it, it would have no response. If I move a folder on this area, then I cannot click on the folder. Even when there is nothing over there, when I click on it then it would not have any response like there should be a manual after clicking right button. What could be the problem?
I'm looking for recommendations on how to automate / simplify deployment from a git repository (github) to a hosting service. The hosting service supports FTP (yuck) / SSH / SFTP access.
Any good tools out there to give push-button deployment of new revisions? I know it's not a hard script to write, but when you start thinking about things like roll-back and multiple sites, it gets complicated enough that I'd rather not re-invent the wheel.
my Motorola l6 mobile phone has stopped working, when i press the power button the keypa glows and that's all it does. Please suggest me some solution to it without goin to the service center.
Sometimes when I click on the button on the language bar for the IME pad, it won't show up. Is there any other way to get it to show up again besides restarting the computer?
