  • T-SQL 2005 - Divide by zero error encountered

    Hi, I am trying to get some percentage data from a stored procedure using code similar to the line below. Obviously this is going to cause a (Divide by zero error encountered) problem when base.[XXX_DataSetB] returns 0 which may happen some of the time. Does anyone know how i can deal with this in the most efficient manner? Note: There would be about 20+ lines looking like the one below... cast((base.[XXX_DataSetB] - base.[XXX_DataSetA]) as decimal) / base.[XXX_DataSetB] as [XXX_Percentage]

    const int t=5; char buf[t+5]; When I compile this gives error in C but not in C++!! Can anybody please explain me the reason? Note: I know the const defaults to internal linkage in 'C++', where as in 'C' it defaults to external linkage. Does it has any relation to the above case??

    I get a St9bad_alloc error which I'm unable to debug. I tried reducing the size of the data structure to eliminate the possibility that I might be running out of memory but that doesn't seem to be the case. These are the relevant files:- gdb backtrace: http://pastebin.com/5hFhHXnL TraceCache.cc: http://pastebin.com/j8vK812j I can't understand how, in the backtrace it jumps from TraceCache.cc:55 to TraceCache.cc:34 whereas in my code I can't see any such path.     Is there any way showing the detailed exception for String or binary data would be truncated. I use LINQ to SQL and i cant figure out which column is that!?     I have the following syntax in the .cmd file, where PathList is console application with .exe as extension. cd D:\Sample D: PathList 2> file.txt This syntax works fine if the file is saved with .bat as extension, but if save it with .cmd extension it throws error saying 'PathList' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Please can i know what is the issue with saving it with .cmd extension

Now I found example in the book about declaring Enums inside a class but outside any methods so I gave it a shot : Enum CoffeeSize { BIG, HUGE, OVERWHELMING }; In the book its spelled enum and I get this compile message Syntax error, insert ";" to complete BlockStatements Are the Enums that important at all?I mean should I skip it or its possible that I will be using those some day?
