Is there a standard way for a web server to determine what time zone offset a user is in?
From an HTTP header or part of the user-agent description, perhaps?
Is there a way to get a sorted list of file names of a folder in VBA? Up to now, I arrived at
Dim fso As Object
Dim objFolder As Object
Dim objFileList As Object
Dim vFile As Variant
Dim sFolder As String
sFolder = "C:\Docs"
Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Set objFolder = fso.GetFolder(sFolder)
Set objFileList = objFolder.Files
For Each vFile In objFileList
' do something '
Next vFile
but it is crucial to be sure the processing order of the for loop is determined by the file names...
Any help appreciated!
Hi,
My question is related to the following question, and can be said almost same.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/330542/setting-the-iphone-keyboard-language
But here are my requirement. I am writing dictionary app for IPhone, which support multiple languages. So my requirement is to display the English keyboard when user has selected English language and show Dutch keyboard when user has selected Dutch and so on.
So i was wondering if this is possible?
Thanks.
I am trying to get a build process set up in TeamCity 5, and I am encountering an access denied error when trying to copy some files. I see that my build agent is running as "SYSTEM" now, and I think that's part of the problem. I'd like to change that user identity. The trouble is that I can't figure out how to change those settings on the build agent. How can I change the build user identity?
I have an NAnt task "ship" to package my current .sql scripts into a build, then name the build with an incrementing int {######} and copy it to a build folder. I have another NAnt task which executes those build scripts. They must execute in order, but in my last attempt, they were not. Can I "force" NAnt to work alphabetically?
Thanks;
Duncan
I am developing a webpage which requires the userlocation for loading some data. The web page is mainly intended for android users. I need to find the geo location of the user when the user opens that page? How can I do that?
Hi,
Does anyone know of a good way to have a user enter an amount of time (hours and minutes) using winforms controls? At the moment I have two numeric up downs, one for time and one for minutes that I then parse to create a timespan. The only other idea I have is a text box that a user can enter a "00:00" time in, and validate the input. Both of these ways seem a bit bad (in UI terms) though.
Any ideas?
Thanks
We recently moved to a webfarm and setup dfs, only to find a beta application was creating files like there was no tomorrow. 1.2 million files were replicated across the farm, and since then we have prevented the application from creating new files, but every time we try to remove the files, it replaces them on each server because of replication. The process of replacing them actually causes to server to run slowly and in some cases stall.
Is there any way we can stop replication at a folder level?
An Apache 2.x Webserver with default configurations from the ubuntu/debian repositories will use the www-data unix account for apache2 processes handling web requests. Assuming that apache is serving two different sites (domain1.com and domain2.com), is it possible for apache to use unix user www-data1 when handling requests to domain1.com, and use unix user www-data2 when handling requests to domain2.com? The motivation is to isolate the code for each domain name from one another.
I'm building some basic Twitter functionality into my app, and am using the JTwitter JAR to read and set status.
It looks like there is a User class that can be used to set the location, but I just can't figure out how to set it with my GPS coordinates once I've got my Twitter object.
Has anyone been able to set the user.location property using JTwitter?
Thanks,

Is it possible to override Tomcat's embedded generator of JSESSIONID, to be able to create custom values of this cookie, based on user's login?
Why do I need this: I have a load balancer with "sticky sessions", configured to route requests with the same JSESSIONID to the same server, and I want to prevent situation, when same user can start two different sessions on different servers.
I'm trying to follow Slicehost Document to setup my server.
I reached SSH section. I made it as written, but when i logged out from root, i cant access root@IP_ADDRESS -p 30000 again! but i can access user@IP_ADDRESS -p 30000.
So, the question is, how to set a public SSH key for root user?
Thanks in advance!
I'd like to get the Facebook profile ID of a Facebook user's father.
Basically I want to display a picture of the user's father and say 'how about buying an X for Dad'.
Is this possible with the graph (or REST) API ?
I am building an MVC application with C# as my language which is hosted on Widows 7 IIS. A call to Add a new member to the database works, but when attempting to save the change I get the following error:
Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\myApplication'
The SQL table was added just by adding it within VS.
The question says it all. I want to paste a file from the clipboard that has been copied from a compress folder using VB.net. By examining the clipboard, I see there is a FileGroupDescriptorW which seems to contain some information about the file. But I have not found how to use the information to grab the file and paste it.
When someone signs up for my website they must sign up with a unique user name. My current pseudocode for this is:
if(datastore.nameIsAvailable(name)){
datastore.createUser(name);
}
How do I make sure that in between the time when nameIsAvailable returns true, and the createUser is finished, another instance of my app doesn't create a user with the same name?
Hi all, I am using Expression Engine in part of a site I am developing and other parts are just using my own PHP. My question is how can I tell who the user is logged in as on a non-EE page? I have access to the EE cookies and the EE database but couldn't find a way to use these values to figure out who the user is. I have a list of all the cookie keys/values at: http://andrewgjohnson.com/cookies.html
I want the server to always serve dates in UTC in the html, and have javascript on the client site convert it to the user's local timezone.
Bonus if I can output in the user's locale date format.
I have been wandering around the object model for VS 2010 and haven't been able to work out the best method for watching what the user is looking at in the main edit window.
I know that each Class/method/property is broken down into its own . What I would ideally like is to hook to an event which says "The user has moved the cursor onto Project.Class.Method" and ideally "and is looking at line 4".
Any suggestions?
Hi Experts..
Is there any reliable way to check if user has entered Arabic words into a form and tries to submit it? Can Javascript handle this? Or, only server script like .NET can do this?
I'm thinking that if possible the script should directly prevent the user from inputting Arabic words into the form and show an alert pop up.
Please share any examples if you have any idea how to do it.
Thanks

With Appcelerator Titanium is there any method for accessing the user's music library?
With the Apple SDK I can implement the MPMediaPickerController, which allows the user to create a playlist of media items for use in a third party app.
