I'm developing a website using OpenCMS and am having a problem with creating links to files over which I loop using cms:contentload: <cms:contentload collector="allInFolder" param="faqs/|FaqFile" editable="false"> <b><a href="${opencms.filename}"><cms:contentshow element="Title" /></a></b><br /> </cms:contentload> This is a part of the index.jsp file.   I have this code: <%= f.text_field :email, :type => "email", :placeholder => "[email protected]" %> So people can enter their email on an iPhone with the email keyboard instead of the ASCII keyboard. However, the output is: <input id="user_email" name="user[email]" placeholder="[email protected]" size="30" type="text" /> which should be: <input id="user_email" name="user[email]" placeholder="[email protected]" size="30" type="email" /> Is there a way to force Rails to use the email type instead of text, or must I use HTML directly?   I've found this excel add-in to buy that appears to do what I need, but I'd rather have code that's open to use as I wish. While a GUI is nice, it's not required.   While very easy to do in Perl or PHP, I cannot figure how to use mysql only to extract the first unique occurence of a record. For example, given the following table: Name Date Time Sale John 2010-09-12 10:22:22 500 Bill 2010-08-12 09:22:37 2000 John 2010-09-13 10:22:22 500 Sue 2010-09-01 09:07:21 1000 Bill 2010-07-25 11:23:23 2000 Sue 2010-06-24 13:23:45 1000 I would like to extract the first record for each individual in asc time order. After sorting the table is ascending time order, I need to extract the first unique record by name. So the output would be : Name Date Time Sale John 2010-09-12 10:22:22 500 Bill 2010-07-25 11:23:23 2000 Sue 2010-06-24 13:23:45 1000 Is this doable in an easy fashion with mySQL? Thanks, Sammy

  Hello, i would by thankful for an official link (and section) of the specification for CSS, that explains if: .one two h1 {color:green;font-family:arial;} /*case 1 */ .one two h1 {color:blue;} /*case 2*/ will result in (when evaluated by the browser) .one two h1 {color:blue;font-family:arial;} /*case 3*/ or will it be: .one two h1 {color:blue;} /*case 4*/ ==I have read a lot about inheritance, specifity, cascading etc but I still have not found for the given example which rules apply here. In regard to specifity both elements are equal in specifity the case2 will be the most specify one (as it is equal specific but the last one). But does specifity always apply to the whole selector with ALL properties defined. Or only the the properties that are are in "competition" (and declared in both). thanks!!!!

  Hi I want to write a mysql statement which will return a list of results from one table along with a comma separated list of field from another table. I think an example might better explain it Table 1 ======================== id First_Name Surname ---------------------- 1 Joe Bloggs 2 Mike Smith 3 Jane Doe Table 2 ======================== id Person_Id Job_id --------------------- 1 1 1 2 1 2 3 2 2 4 3 3 5 3 4 I want to return a list of people with a comma separated list of job_ids. So my result set would be id First_Name Surname job_id ------------------------------ 1 Joe Bloggs 1,2 2 Mike Smith 2 3 Jane Doe 3,4 I guess the sql would be something like select id, First_Name, Surname, (SELECT job_id FROM Table 2) as job_id from Table 1 but obviously this does not work so need to change the '(SELECT job_id FROM Table 2) as job_id' part.   How do I Capture ASP.NET output and then store it as temp memory so that I can use them in an application to do comparison. example. there's this site which has ASP output. Sorry I do not have server access, what I can do is view the output. • Changing Render Kits in Browser

  I'm working on a project to develop a cross-browser testing web app. Simply put, I'm tired of having to maintain multiple browsers on the same system and IE in VMware solely for the purpose of testing. Does anyone know if there is any way to change the render kit programmatically? For example, if I insert a URL, I would be able to load the URL and switch the browser render within a frame of some assortment. • fetching a url using $.getJSON and parsing it correctly

  This is probably really stupid but i can't find the problem with my code. It fetches a url that returns json and the function is then supposed to return a string: function getit() { var ws_url = 'example.com/test.js'; var user = false; $.getJSON(ws_url, function(data) { alert('user '+data.user);//shows john user = data.user || false; } ); return user;//should return john but returns false } test.js will have something like this: {"id":"12","username":"ses","user":"john","error":""} or like this: {"error":"123"} I also tried if(data.user){}else{} but it didn't work either.. So what am i missing? Thanks :)

• Creating colour schemes based on an existing scheme

  I have a colour scheme based around yellow, for warning messages on a website. It amounts to a slightly orange bordered box, with a pale yellow fill. The exact colours are: #FED626 (border) #FFF7C0 (fill) I want to know if it's possible to convert this scheme mathematically or algorithmically somehow, to come up with a blue version where the border is the "same amount" of blue as this one is yellow. Is this possible, or do I just "pin the tail on the donkey" on a colour pallet to get roughly the right one? I ask, because I'd quite like to be able to calculate this on the fly, to perhaps implement something in .less. To give you an idea, I tried swopping the red and blue values on those two, and came up with this: #26D6FE (border) #C0F7FF (fill) That wasn't too hard, but think about if I wanted a pink colour scheme... :)

  My models: class Order(models.Model): ordered_by = models.ForeignKey(User) reasons = models.ManyToManyField(Reason) class Reason(models.Model): description = models.CharField() Basically a user creates an order and gives reasons for that order. ie, john has two orders (one for pencils because he is out AND because he doesn't like his current stock. a second order for pens because he is out). I want to print a list out of all reasons a user has placed his orders. So under john, it should print "he is out", "he doesn't like his current stock"; those two lines only. If I simply select all of john's orders, iterate through them and print out their "reasons" it'll print "he is out", "he doesn't like his current stock" and then "he is out" again. I don't want these duplicate values. How do I select a list of his reasons for ALL his orders so that the list has all unique rows?

  Greetings! I am using the ASP.NET FileUpload control to allow users to upload text files to our web server. Everything works great in terms of saving the file to where we wanted, etc, using the SaveAs() method of the control. But we were caught off guard by one seemingly simple caveat: the original timestamp of the uploaded file was lost such as the date last modified and date create. The date last modified and date created become the actual date and time when the file is saved to the server. My question is: is there anyway to retain the original timestamp by setting some attributes that I am not aware of yet or is it possible to read the metadata of the file to get its original time stamp? Any in-sight and suggestions are greatly appreciated. John

  Hi, I recently started to use AjaxControlToolkit v3.0.30930.0 in my application together with System.Web.Extension 3.5. My development environment is Visual Studio 2005, .NET Framework 2.0 and the development language is C#. The Ajax control I used is the ModalPopupExtender. I also used the UpdatePanel and updateprogress controls. Everything is working fine on my development machine. But I got a problem after I deployed the application to a server which does not have System.Web.Extension 3.5 installed, which is understandable. My question is, can the ajax controls I used work without System.Web.Extension 3.5? Say I revert the ajaxcontroltoolkit back to version 1.0.61025.0? I don't have the option to install .NET 3.5 as yet. Thank you for your help. John

  I am working on a CMS platform with limited access to the template files and want to try and control some of the layout with pseudo class but no luck yet. Can anyone see what is wrong with this structure and why my pseudo class is being ignored? <div id="main"> <div class="someRandomDiv"></div> <div class="block"> stuff </div> <div class="block"> more stuff </div> </div> and i am trying something like this #main .block {border: 1px solid blue} #main .block:first-child {border: 1px solid red} so with this example I would think the stuff block would have a red border and more stuff would have a blue but it is all just blue.   Hello, I tried searching on stackoverflow for an answer to my question but couldn't seem to find anything relevant. Since I'm relatively new to Silverlight, I'm not even sure if this is possible, but I am trying to figure out if it is possible to set a Silverlight textbox control's width value proportionally to it's immediate parent container? It would be nice to avoid hard coding a width value. Say you want to place a textbox control inside a horizontally aligned StackPanel control and have it's width always dynamically adjusted to be 80% of the total width of the StackPanel. Is this possible to do declaratively in your xaml markup, or will I need to resort to some codebehind attached to some event handler to accomplish this? fyi, I am currently using Visual Web Developer Express 2008 to write my silverlight code. thanks in advance, John

  I've got a column in a database which contains company names, and customer names all in one field... what I'd like to do is keep the CompanyName column completely intact, but wherever there is a comma in the CompanyName I'd like to take that information and populate it into a FirstName and LastName field.
