I have php based application currently written using CI. I want to integrate Cappuccino JS framework at my UI layer. Does anyone know how can one go about doing that?
Is there an efficient way to take and image and be able to replace a given color with another given color using .NET Compact Framework?
For example, to replace white with black or vice versa?
These web articles uses separate Save() and Update() methods in the repository pattern.
I am using repository pattern.
How can I write a SaveOrUpdate() method in Entity Framework with the help of ObjectContext and in Linq-To-SQL with the help of DataContext?
That is, how can I write a single method that shall do both save and update job?
I have
[Person]
PersonID, EmailAddress, FirstName, LastName
[OnlineAccount]
OnlineAccountID, PersonID, Nickname
Each person is allowed to have 0-* OnlineAccount.
In entity framework with C#, how do I select the top 5 Person that has the most accounts?
Sql server 2005 (even 2008) strips the insignificant whitespaces by default. To keep one can use the CONVERT funtction with the last argument as '1' (Ref. Article). How can we do the same thing in Entity Framework?
thanks

Hi
My zend framework render function returns:
Warning: include(C:\wamp\www\cms\application\modules\default\views\scripts) [function.include]: failed to open stream: Permission denied...
It's being called in a postDispatch function on the controller, but that doesn't matter as no matter where i put it, it fails.
Any ideas? My view and layout are started in the bootstrap. Thanks
I just started on the .net compact framework. I want to draw a Sudoku field on the screen. So I put down a PictureBox and defined a method for the Paint event:
private void pictureBoxPlayfield_Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e)
{
// use e.Graphics to draw the grid, numbers and cursor
}
This works, but you can see as the grid is drawn. So my question is, what is the right/better way to create such a custom control? Is there maybe a way to enable double buffering?
This question (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/245566/net-compact-framework-4-0) asked this back before the release of VS 2010. The answer basically said to wait for the release.
Now that the release is here, does anyone know? Is there an upgrade/update to the .NETCF? something past .NETCF 3.5?
Is there an equivalence in Entity Framework to NHibernate SchemaExport?
Given I have a working Entity-Model, I would like to programmatically initialize a database.
I would like to use this functionality in the setup of my integration tests.
Creating the matching DDL for an Entity-Model would also suffice.

I am new to coding and would just like to know a bit more about frameworks. How does a framework help you code and what exactly is it? Such as Zend for php.
Is there a best-practice when it comes to where to put the logging functionality in an MVC application, for example a Zend Framework application (Zend_Log)? Should I put the logging in the controller or in the model? Or in both?
If in both, should they have the same logger or a separate one?
Hi,
I am a newbie to Zend framework, I want to know how can we restrict the call to predispatch() function in my controller for any particular action.

Is there a way I can do this?
Thanks
I have a form in a Compact Framework application. When the user presses the 'X' button in the top right, the screen doesn't refresh until the users taps anywhere on the screen.
The form is being shown using this code:
using (var customerDetailsForm = ObjectFactory.Get<CustomerDetailsForm>())
{
customerDetailsForm.AssignCustomerId(customerId);
customerDetailsForm.ShowDialog();
}
I am looking to execute this statement via Zend Framework. As I understand it, I can use Zend_Db_Select. Is it possible to use Zend_Db_Table?
Three tables: classes, students, and class_students
select classes.name, students.student_id, students.fname, students.lname from students, classes, class_students where class_students.student_id=students.student_id AND class_students.class_id=classes.class_id;
Is there a way in Zend Framework or default PHP to map a country (using country code) to a list of timezones? As an example I'm trying to replicate the Google functionality when searching for "time in australia right now" which displays all of the timezones and cities for that country.
I'm using Entity Framework for creation of my Data Access Layer and I want for all of my classes to be internal.
I know it is possible to manually assign it manually in the designer for each class. But looks like it also requires to set internal modifier for each single property in every class! I have about 30+ entities and it will be a huge work to do.
Do you know any ideas how to set a 'default access' for the entire model?
Hi Everyone,
I have created an application in Compact Framework 2.0

My Issue is that any and all exceptions are logged, but they are appearing in the culture of the device, in some cases this means i am unable to read them.
