  I am creating a Spring based JSF application, where I am getting FacesContext.getCurrentInstance which returns null. Is there an easy way to do this or am I going about this the wrong way? (note: this is a console project only, no GUI) ========== code edited I've changed the code to the above following the recommendations, and it works almost as I expect however the thread still doesnt seem to end properly. I was the while loop would die and control would eventually come back to the main method. Any ideas?

  I know there is an invoke function that does the stuff, I am overall interested in the "correctness" of using such a behavior. My issue is this: I have a Service Object witch contains methods which I consider services. What I want to do is alter the behavior of those services without later intrusion. For example: class MyService { public ServiceResponse ServeMeDonuts() { do stuff... return new ServiceResponse(); } after 2 months I find out that I need to offer the same service to a new client app and I also need to do certain extra stuff like setting a flag, or make or updating certain data, or encode the response differently. What I can do is pop it up and throw down some IFs. In my opinion this is not good as it means interaction with tested code and may result in un wanted behaviour for the previous service clients. So I come and add something to my registry telling the system that the "NewClient" has a different behavior.   I'm writing my first app in MFC, and I was looking to include a very simple feature : Include a "Save To File" button that on being clicked will bring up the familiar "Save As.." Dialog box and will ultimately save the data in a text file. I couldn't find how to invoke this dialog box - can someone just point me at the right way to do it ?

• Problem running latex from FastCGI

  I have a program which does a system call: latex somefile.latex This runs ok, when I type it directly in the command line, or when i invoke the program via CGI. But when it is using FastCGI, the system call returns: This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-1.40.10 (TeX Live 2009) ---! Must increase the hyph_size (Fatal format file error; I'm stymied) I already tried to increase the hyph_size but still no effect.

  Hi, I got a requirement to implement a website in java which will utilize another web service. Here is the scenario I am providing the product compare results to client and assume i am using amazon and other web services. Initially client invoke our web service and then we fetch results from merchants. I don't want complete solution just look for consuming and create web service in java example. I searched on google but couldn't found relevant example. I prefer if example is using eclipse :) Thanks
