    Is there a way to open multiple AI files (say 3 individual files) and somehow save in a way that I can open the same 3 files simultaneously in the future? I always want the multiple files to open together. Situation: We design products with AI. A single product may have multiple versions. The designer typically creates 1 AI file, then puts all versions of the product in the single file. I need them to put each version in a separate file for an integration project, but this creates more work for them. The solution I'm looking for would allow them to open all the relevant AI file and somehow same them all as a group. Next time, they open the group and all AI files open together. Thank you

  • WiX, Conditionally installing a file based on OS

    In my WiX project I need to install different content for the same file name, based on the OS. If the OS is Windows 7 then the file needs to have content X. If the OS is Windows Vista the file needs to have content Y. I have thought through a few approaches: Define two components, one with the content for windows 7 and another with the contents for Vista. Run a custom action based on the OS that overwrites the content for Vista if the OS is Windows 7. Define two additional features (window7 config and win vista config) have the components target the same file and install the feature conditionally based on OS. Which is the best approach to take. Any tips, tricks and sample wix to get this going?

  • Apache/PHP is determined to serve the wrong file

    I have a page that is called with a url like http://testserver/path/to/foo/bar/ but apache is serving the wrong file altogether. /path/to/ is a real directory where all the code and .htaccess file is. foo/bar/ is supposed to redirect to foo_bar.php with a RewriteRule, but it never gets there. It's not a mod_rewrite issue as I have commented out all the rules that could be interfering, which should give me 404s for that request, but the same problem occurs: the file that is served is /path/to/foo.php, so in it I var_dump $_SERVER and get: REQUEST_URI = /path/to/foo/bar/ SCRIPT_NAME = /path/to/foo.php SCRIPT_FILENAME = /real/path/to/foo.php PATH_INFO = /bar/ PATH_TRANSLATED = /real/bar/ PHP_SELF = /path/to/foo.php/bar/ Why is this request being routed to this file at all?

  • accessing specific icons from a Multi-Icon (.ico) file

    Dear community. I would like to know if the following is possible. I have an .ico file, containing several sizes and color depths. However, it also contains some custom made sizes, that are going to be used inside my application. The application accesses the icon trough a resource DLL. (The intention is that the DLL is provided by a third party developer) Is there any way to pinpoint exactly which of the icons in the .ico file to use in my application? Like I want this size to appear here on my GUI etc. For instance, I am making a button in my application, and I would like my custom made 15*32 icon from my .ico file to be displayed on the button. I know this is possible by adding the bitmaps one at a time to the resource DLL, giving each of them a unique name. But it would be easier, if I am able to identify the different contents of the icon file instead. Is it possible in some way to look at the icon file as an array of icons or something like that? Any help is much appreciated. It seems quite hard to find information about this subject on the web. Oh, and I am writing my application in C#, using MFC DLL (from Visual C++ to create my resource DLL)

    I save in a file some info about users (like number of times user passed the login page, last visited time, and so on). I want to read this info from the file, and update it (add 1 to the counter, and change the last visited time). My question is: can I do it without opening the file twice ? I open the first time to read the contents, and then open it again to overwrite the contents with the updated ones. Thanks !

    Hi, I use Zend forms in my web application. I wonder where Zend puts uploded temp file by default ? I can't find it in server tmp dir. For example if I upload image(1.jpg) via file field, it appears on tmp folder, but as 1.jpg(/tmp/1.jpg). But I need temporary file like /tmp/phpeZApBn. Maybe it is in any other location ? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Perl Script to search and replace in .SQL query file with user inputs

    I have a .SQL file containing a large number of queries. They are being run against a database containing data for multiple states over multiple years. The machine I am running this on can only handle running the queries for one state, in one year, at a time. I am trying to create a Perl script that takes user input for the state abbreviation, the state id number, and the year. It then creates a directory for that state and year. Then it opens the "base" .SQL file and searches and replaces the base state id and year with the user input, and saves this new .SQL file to the created directory. The current script I have (below) stops at open(IN,'<$infile') with "Can't open [filename]" It seems that it is having difficulty finding or opening the .SQL file. I have quadruple-checked to make sure the paths are correct, and I have even tried replacing the $path with an absolute path for the base file.     Using Visual Studio 2012, I'd like to create a C++ project folder called "Include Files", which has the same characteristics as the well known folder "Header Files". That is, the files in Include Files have a cpi extenson and will be parsed out for use with InteliSense, and also can be precompiled. I'm able to create the folder but files within it aren't parsed. I've tried setting the type to C++ Header file. Nothing seems to work. The files work fine when given a hpp extension and put into Header Files folder.

    I have a 4MB log file from the Windows XP firewall which I'm trying to find lines that have both DROP and an IP and a port number. My regex-fu is weak and I'm assuming this is the reason I'm struggling. The words "DROP", "10.1.1.1" (for example) and "8801" need to be found on the same line and may be spread across the line and separated by one or more other words. Any help (or suggestions of another method to do this) are much appreciated.

It's not one I've written myself but the spec for the delimited text file is set up properly and the file imports properly using the wizard. When I try to use the import functions of the app itself, the ImportError table tells "Field Truncation" for one of the fields. Any help would be appreciated.
