  For selective coloring of static content the following suggestion works fine : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2435880/is-it-possible-to-seletively-color-a-wrapping-textblock-in-silverlight-wpf However my content will be generated at runtime. For ex. if the Content generated is : "A Quick Brown Fox" Then I need they string "Brown" to be in color Brown and "Fox" to be in color Red The Keyword-Color list is fixed and available to me at runtime. I have looked at the Advanced TextFormatting page on MSDN, but it is too complicated for me, also the sample in there does not compile :( I am looking at creating a custom control which can do this for me. Let me know if anyone has any idea regarding how to go about this. Thanks in advance.

• Android Development - Conversion to Dalvik format failed with error 1

  So I'm dipping my toes into this area for the first time - i followed instructions to install the android SDK and eclipse plug in. I created a blank new android project and I get the following build errors: [2011-01-08 16:34:55 - xxx]: Dxno classfiles specified [2011-01-08 16:34:55 - xxx] Conversion to Dalvik format failed with error 1 I've googled the problem and tried to clean and rebuild, or hitting F5 on the project in the explorer but the issue remains. I've verified the build paths and the libraries to make sure only Android 2.3 is there but still get this issue. I have also tried to load a sample project and I get the same error. Any ideas?

• Cannot play a recorded sound on device.

  I'm using the exact code from the iPhone Application Programming Guide Multimedia Support to use AVAudioRecorder to record a file to the disk and then AVAudioPlayer to load and play that file. This is working fine in the simulator but is not working on the device. The file gets loaded (we can see the NSTimeInterval) but does not play (play returns false). After it didn't work with the sample code from the website, we tried changing to a bunch of different codecs with no success. And of course, the sound is on. Thanks a bunch.

  I'm attempting to use 'jQuery Validate' on a form that requires an email address plus either all items of a shipping address completed or none at all. Using the sample provided by the solution to this question: jQuery Validate - “Either skip these fields, or fill at least X of them”, I have been able to successfully solve the validation of the address group. The problem, however, is that the logic for validating the email address field does not work. From debugging the Validate scripts, the "re-entrant" validation code triggered by calling 'fields.data('being_validated', true).valid();' in the linked example results in a reset of all previously validated errors (i.e. the email validation error is cleared). I have modified some existing samples, the first in which removes the offending line and the second with it included.   I already have an express checkout integrated with my Codeigniter application. Now I want to integrate seamless paypal where I collect the CC information and pass it to Paypal (via backend) and once everything is approved, my application shows that to the user. All this with out ever going to Paypal's website. I know that Paypal gives a bunch of sample code but they have so many different products that advertise to do the same thing. Is there any wrapper library in PHP that I can use for handling all this? What sort of design decision is involved in migrating to such system? Would I need SSL certificates for this?

  Using jquery-ui datepicker I would like to use altField and altFormat to 2 datepickers on the same page but I can't figure out how to add these 2 options which are specific to each datepicker along with my common set of options. Code sample below. #dt1 does not work, but #dt2 works. • What does setting the GL color before doing a texture mapping operation do?

  I am looking at some sample code in a book that creates a jittered antialiasing effect by repeatedly rendering a scene (at different offsets) onto a offscreen texture, then using that texture to repeatedly draw a quad in the main view with some blend stuff set up. To accumulate the color "correctly", the code is setting the color like so: glColor4f(f, f, f, 1); where f is 1.0/number_of_samples, and then binding the offscreen texture and rendering it. Since textures come with their own color and alpha data, what is the effect (mathematically and intuitively) that setting the overall "color" in advance achieves? Thanks.

Is this an optimization?   Hi, For various reasons, i'm trying to write my own input keyboard. So far all is going well except that of creating the suggestions. I've found the latinIME algorithm, which is all good. However i'm having major difficulty working out how to load the dictionary in the first place. I've had a good look round the net, and found various suggestions, but no definitive answers, and i cant seem to get any of them to work.   I'm writing code where I retrieve XML from a web api, then parse that XML using Groovy. Unfortunately, it seems that both XmlParser and XmlSlurper for Groovy strip newline characters from the attributes of nodes when .text() is called. How can I get at the text of the attribute including the newlines?   Hello everyone! I'm always really picky about memory leaks and I cannot understand why my garbage collected application leaks. My code is entirely memory-managed and it runs great without garbage collection, not a single leak. However, as soon as I turn on garbage collection it leaks! Just to prove a point, why does this leak in a garbage collected app? (place this dummy code at applicationDidFinishLaunching:) NSOpenPanel *panel = [NSOpenPanel openPanel]; [panel beginSheetModalForWindow:window completionHandler:^(NSInteger result) {NSBeep();}]; Also, is there a way to prevent leaks in apps (garbage collected or otherwise) that use Scripting Bridge? it seems as if they all leak, even the sample ones in xcode. • Visual Studio 2010 and Silverlight - Adding Data Sources

  Hello, I am interested in building a Silverlight application that uses RIA Services. I am using this video (http://live.visitmix.com/MIX10/Sessions/CL08) as an example. In that video, the presenter uses the "data sources" tab to populate the view. However, I cannot figure out how to add a data source from within Visual Studio 2010. I have a database on my local machine. This database is the sample AdventureWorks database. When I select my Silverlight application, there is a UserRegistrationContext in the data sources window. However, I cannot figure out how to add a new one that connects to my AdventureWorks database. Can somebody tell me how to do this? Thank you!

  Hi there I need to remove line breaks from the beginning of a memo type records. I dont want to use the replace function as it would remove all line breaks from the record which is not desired. Its only the line breaks at the beginning of the field that I am interested in removing. Furthermore, the my records do not always begin with a line break so I cant really use text positioning, the solution would be to look for line break at the beginning instead of always expecting it at the beginning. click here for a sample of what my data looks like any help will be greatly appreciated

• Using netlink to obtain arp entries only returns stale entries

  I'm currently trying to retrieve reachable neighbors from the arp table in a user space program written in c.   I need to read data in from a wav file in 24 bit pcm format, and convert to float. I'm using Python 2.7.2. The wave package reads the data in as a string, so what I've tried is: # read in entire wav file wdata = f.readframes(nFrames) # unpack into signed integers and convert to float data = array.array('f') for i in range(0,nFrames*3,3): data.append(float(struct.unpack('<i', '\x00'+ wdata[i:i+3])[0])) # normalize sample values data = data / 0x800000 This is quite a bit faster than my earlier approaches, but still quite slow. Can anyone suggest a more efficient method?

  Hello, Im using Firefox 3.5.9. When i visit a url , it sets a cookie on my computer.I can see this cookie in Firefox by going to Tools-Options-Privacy,then clicking on 'Remove Individual Cookies'. There is a folder called xyz,which contains a cookie named JSessionId and which has some Content value . If i use curl in my php code to navigate to that website,is there a way i can read the Content value of that cookie programmatically ? . Some sample code would be really appreciated. Thank You
