    I need to add the ability to take a screenshot of the entire screen, not just the current window. The following code produces a bmp file with the correct dimensions, but the image is completely black.   • How do I get this linearlayout working on android?

    I'm trying to create a scrollview that contains a linearlayout with some options inside of it. I'd like for the options to show up at the top and grow downwards, and to have "save," "delete," and "cancel" buttons which show up at the very bottom of the screen (if there is space left in between the bottom of all the options and the top of the buttons). Here's a screenshot of my attempt: http: //img375.imageshack.us/img375/3628/10370572.png (StackOverflow was only letting me post a single link so you'll have to get rid of the space in between http: and the rest) As you can see, the buttons show up directly below the options rather than at the bottom of the screen. In fact the top level (green) linearlayout doesn't even extend all the way down, despite having a height of fill_parent and a weight of 1 (and the blue is the scrollview, so there is room to expand). I've tried every possible combination of heights, weights, gravities, and anything else to get this working and still can't do it. Everytime I pasted my xml layout into here, the top and bottom portions got cut off, so instead I pasted it here: pastey link Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?

I've tried to copy library from sdcard to /data/data/app/ and then System.load(/data/data/libjni.so) It works on HTC HERO, but fails on HTC Legend with Android 2.1. it fails during execution of native code and write to log uninformative stack trace Any other way to do it?

    In an Android app, I am using one static instance of org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultHttpClient and sharing that instance in all activities and services of the app, so that this client may be used to log in once to a remote server and all subsequent user requests to that remote server will remain authenticated. Every activity or Service that makes a GET or POST to this remote server calls the same method : MyUtilityClass.gettHttpClient() Do I need to worry about synchronization of this httpclient? If so, what is the best way to handle this?

  • Force screen size when testing embedded DOS app in Windows 7 command window

    I'm doing some embedded DOS development with OpenWatcom (great Windows-hosted compiler for targeting 16-bit DOS applications). The target hardware has a 24x16 character screen (that supposedly emulates CGA to some degree), and I'm trying to get the CMD.EXE window on my Windows 7 machine to stay at a fixed 24x16 without any scroll bars. I've used both the window properties and MODE CON: COLS=24 LINES=16 to get the screen size that I wanted, but as soon as my application uses an INT10 BIOS calls to clear the screen, the mode jumps back to 80x24. I can still do my testing at 80x24 (or 80x25), but it doesn't entirely behave like the 24x16 mode.
