• using TFS API how can I get the changeset ID for a file on a specific date?

  I was hoping that I could pass a DateVersionSpec into VersionControlServer.DownloadFile() but it doesn't work. It tells me that the item doesn't exist at that version, even though the file existed in source on the date passed. Do I need to query the Item history just so I can figure out what version the file was at on the date in question? Use QueryHistory(...) method?

  Assume my git repository has the following structure: /.git /Project /Project/SubProject-0 /Project/SubProject-1 /Project/SubProject-2 and the repository has quite some commits. Now one of the subprojects (SubProject-0) grows pretty big, and I want to take SubProject-0 out and set it up as a standalone project. Is it possible to extract all the commit history involving SubProject-0 from the parent git repository and move it to a new one?

  A feature of a forms based application I am developing allows the user to search through a history of records. The user can search by name, by number, and between dates, and populate the results in a datagridview control. However, as the form will be used to search for previous records. The ability for the user to select future dates is not required. Is there a way to prevent the user from selecting future dates, or even grey the future dates out?

  I have two existing subversion repositories on different hosts (host-a and host-b) and I'd like to copy one directory from repo A to repo B. Basically https://host-a/repo/some/path/moduleA should be copied to https://host-b/repo/some/other/path/moduleA. All the history should be preserved and existing data in host-b should be preserved. The two repositories do not have any conflicting directory hierarchies. The repositories do not share common ancestry.

However, I want the directory that is split into a separate repo to remain a subdirectory in that repo: I have this: foo/ .git/ bar/ baz/ qux/ And I want: foo/ .git/ bar/ baz/ quux/ .git/ qux/ # Note: still a subdirectory How to do this in git? I could use the method from this answer if there is some way to move all the new repo's contents into a subdirectory, throughout history.

  hi when I append jquery datepicker to my asp textbox, by clicking on it, my browser auto shows the history of the dates i typed in a dropdownlist. Can I prevent this? Set textbox to readonly isn't a good idea because asp.net doesn't read the values from read only fields in code behind. any other ideas? thank you and best regards. marc

  I have this setup class User { Date lastLogin // logins is a history of logins static hasMany = [logins : Date] def setLastLogin(Date date) { if (date) { lastLogin = date addToLogins(date) } } } GORM is generating a table MEMBER_LOGINS which currently looks like this: USER_ID, LOGINS Instead I would like USER_ID, DATE I tried adding a mapping in User static mapping = { logins column: 'date'; } But that just changed the foreign key so i now have DATE, LOGINS How can I change the LOGINS column? Since I won't have access to the SVN repository for a while, I wanted to use Bazaar as a helper version control to keep the intermediate commit history before I commit everything back to the SVN repository. Is this possible? When I try to create a branch using TortoiseBZR from the SVN working copy, it wants to access the SVN repository, which is a problem.

• My Perforce Eclipse Plugin works only partially

  Hi all, I installed Perforce plugin version 3.4 on Eclipse Ganymede, configured my connection and workspace. My perforce perspective works just fine. However, when I work in the Java perspective, and I right-click any file in the project explorer, the "Team" context menu does not display the perforce options to check-out, sync etc. It only has the options "Apply patch" and "Show local history". This is super-annoying! Help, anyone?

It looks like a great start, but I thought I'd be able to find something with a longer development history. I've only used Castle Windsor myself, and I am really missing it in web-client land.
