  • Google Chromecast cast tab from Chrome browser sucks

  • Facebook Registration Plugin redirects in wrong situation

    - by AVProgrammer
I am using the PHP Facebook SDK to leverage the Facebook registration/login plugin. I am referring to: http://www.masteringapi.com/tutorials/how-to-use-facebook-registration-plugin-as-your-registration-system/15/ Currently, the browser redirects away from the registration page, no matter if I am signed in to Facebook or not. <div id="fb-root"></div> <script> window.fbAsyncInit = function() { FB.init({ appId: '<?php echo $facebook->getAppID() ?>', cookie: true, xfbml: true, oauth: true }); FB.Event.subscribe('auth.login', function(response) { window.location.reload(); }); FB.Event.subscribe('auth.logout', function(response) { window.location.reload(); }); <?php if($_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] == '/register/index.php'){?> FB.getLoginStatus(function(response) { if (response.status == "connected" || response.status == "unknown") { window.location = "http://<?=SITE_HOST?>/"; } }); <?php }?> }; (function() { var e = document.createElement('script'); e.async = true; e.src = document.location.protocol + '//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js'; document.getElementById('fb-root').appendChild(e); }()); The part that is causing this unwanted redirect is this: <?php if($_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] == '/register/index.php'){?> FB.getLoginStatus(function(response) { if (response.status == "connected" || response.status == "unknown") { window.location = "http://<?=SITE_HOST?>/"; } }); <?php }?> This function is supposed to redirect a "connected"1 user, away from the registration page. Unfortunately, even when I access this page from a brand-new browser (Firefox, just installed, which means no cookies or sessions exist) and I am still redirected. Note the PHP code below[2]. Also, the SITE_HOST is a constant for the www. address. I think the actual condition that is being met is response.status being equal to "unknown". This status check implies an unsuccessful response from Facebook, right? Without this getLoginStatus check in the code, it will actually load the the registration page, and a Facebook registration form: Note how it says: "You have registered", which I did a month ago (assuming this qualification is met by allowing the Facebook App permissions, which was done when I initially installed the Facebook SDK). So why would the redirect code work for me (seemingly), then still redirect me when I am using a browser NOT signed in to Facebook? Also, the jQuery function at the bottom of the script loads all.js. This is all I need, right? Footnotes: Someone with "connected" status is logged in to Facebook and has approved your Facebook App permissions. No matter which page this was on it caused this, and since this code appears in a global include file, I've restricting from printing to only on the registration page, which was the intention for this code to my understanding.

  • Debugging maven junit tests with filtered resources?

    - by hstoerr
We are using filtered testResources in JUnit-tests that are usually executed by the maven surefire plugin. That is, the pom contains a section <build> <testResources> <testResource> <directory>src/test/resources</directory> <filtering>true</filtering> </testResource> </testResources> ... How can I run such JUnit-tests in the debugger? If I execute the tests in eclipse the tests fail since the test resources are not filtered. If the filtered test resources would be written somewhere into the target directory, I could just use this as an additional source path - but this is not the case. If I try to run the maven build in eclipse with Debug As / maven test , the build does not stop in the breakpoints. Any other ideas?

  • Why do all module run together?

    - by gunbuster363
I just made a fresh copy of eclipse and installed pydev. In my first trial to use pydev with eclipse, I created 2 module under the src package(the default one) FirstModule.py: ''' Created on 18.06.2009 @author: Lars Vogel ''' def add(a,b): return a+b def addFixedValue(a): y = 5 return y +a print "123" run.py: ''' Created on Jun 20, 2011 @author: Raymond.Yeung ''' from FirstModule import add print add(1,2) print "Helloword" When I pull out the pull down menu of the run button, and click "ProjectName run.py", here is the result: 123 3 Helloword Apparantly both module ran, why? Is this the default setting?

  • Why does my Google maps api v3 and side panel not fill my page upon resizing?

    - by Gavin
I'm developing a web page and I have a side panel on the left with a search bar and a Google maps api v3 filling the rest of the page to the right. When I make the browser very small vertically, there is a white space between the side panel and the map, and the bottom of the browser. However, the text continues to the bottom of the browser. It looks like: Here's my css code: <style type="text/css"> body {margin:0;} #panel {height:100%; width:300px; position:absolute; padding:0;background-color:#8C95A0;} #header {padding:2px; text-align:center} #address_instruction {position:relative; top:7%; padding:2px; text-align:center} #geocoder {position:relative; top:8%; padding:2px; text-align:center} #toggle_instruction {position:relative; top:22%; padding:2px; text-align:center} #layers {position:relative; top:25%; padding:2px; text-align:center} #layer0 {padding:2px; text-align:center} #layer1 {padding:2px; text-align:center} #layer2 {padding:2px; text-align:center} #link {top:50%; position:relative; padding:2px; text-align:center} #map_canvas {height:100%; left:300px; right:0px; position:absolute; padding:0;} </style> The IDs within #panel refer to the items on the left hand side in the panel. Why don't the side panel background color and map extend to the bottom of the browser?

  • "paste" listener on a SWT widget

    - by Fredrik
I have an application with a SWT widget, say a org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Text, and want to add some control to the paste function. The idea is that if the user can paste a string of IDs, I detect that, run some code and paste the object that corresponds to the IDs. So I'm looking for some "ClipBoardListener" of some sort to add to my widget, but that doesnt seem to exist. A keylistener would only trap the pastes done by key and then you would have to deal with different key combos for pasting in different OS's. Based on this java 1.2 question I tried subclassing the text class and override the inser method, but that didnt work Exception in thread "main" org.eclipse.swt.SWTException: Subclassing not allowed Seemed like an ugly solution anyway.

  • Massive 404 attack with non existent URLs. How to prevent this?

    - by tattvamasi
The problem is a whole load of 404 errors, as reported by Google Webmaster Tools, with pages and queries that have never been there. One of them is viewtopic.php, and I've also noticed a scary number of attempts to check if the site is a WordPress site (wp_admin) and for the cPanel login. I block TRACE already, and the server is equipped with some defense against scanning/hacking. However, this doesn't seem to stop. The referrer is, according to Google Webmaster, totally.me. I have looked for a solution to stop this, because it isn't certainly good for the poor real actual users, let alone the SEO concerns. I am using the Perishable Press mini black list (found here), a standard referrer blocker (for porn, herbal, casino sites), and even some software to protect the site (XSS blocking, SQL injection, etc). The server is using other measures as well, so one would assume that the site is safe (hopefully), but it isn't ending. Does anybody else have the same problem, or am I the only one seeing this? Is it what I think, i.e., some sort of attack? Is there a way to fix it, or better, prevent this useless resource waste? EDIT I've never used the question to thank for the answers, and hope this can be done. Thank you all for your insightful replies, which helped me to find my way out of this. I have followed everyone's suggestions and implemented the following: a honeypot a script that listens to suspect urls in the 404 page and sends me an email with user agent/ip, while returning a standard 404 header a script that rewards legitimate users, in the same 404 custom page, in case they end up clicking on one of those urls. In less than 24 hours I have been able to isolate some suspect IPs, all listed in Spamhaus. All the IPs logged so far belong to spam VPS hosting companies. Thank you all again, I would have accepted all answers if I could.

  • Maven downloads have .lastUpdated as extension

    - by user303158
I am a beginner to Eclipse and maven. I have an Eclipse setup with m2eclipse and subversive. I have imported a maven2 project from svn. But I get the error message that a whole bunch of artifacts are missing (for instance: Missing artifact org.springframework:spring-test:jar:3.0.1.RELEASE:test). If I look in my repository I see the jar files there but they have an extra extension .lastUpdated. Why is maven appending .lastUpdated to the jars? And more importantly: how can I fix this? Btw there is no mention of the type lastUpdated in my POMs.

  • Javascript widgets: do links count as SEO backlinks? [closed]

    - by j0nes
Possible Duplicate: How good is it for SEO if you have a widget that lives on other sites? On my website I offer an option to let users embed information from my site with some kind of "homepage widget". If a user wants to embed it in his website, he basically has to add one line of Javascript to his HTML files like this: <script src="http://mysite.com/myscript.php?some_options_here"></script> Inside the widget, I export some content from my website and of course create a link back to my website. This is done in Javascript with document.write. document.writeln("My great exported content"); document.writeln('<a href="http://mysite.com?ref=widget>Check mysite.com</a>'); I have Google Analytics set up to track whether the links in there get clicked, and they do. Now I am asking myself if Google recognizes these links as valid backlinks from the embedding domain. I know that Googlebot can parse and execute Javascript, but I have not found any references whether these links also count as "normal" backlinks.

  • Linux c++ error: undefined reference to 'dlopen'

    - by lerax
    Hi all! I work in Linux with c++ (eclipse) and want to use a library. Eclipse shows me an error: undefined reference to 'dlopen' Do you know a solution? Here is my code. #include <stdlib.h> #include <stdio.h> #include <dlfcn.h> int main(int argc, char **argv) { void *handle; double (*desk)(char*); char *error; handle = dlopen ("/lib/CEDD_LIB.so.6", RTLD_LAZY); if (!handle) { fputs (dlerror(), stderr); exit(1); } desk= dlsym(handle, "Apply"); if ((error = dlerror()) != NULL) { fputs(error, stderr); exit(1); } dlclose(handle); }

  • Extracting startup errors from Spring contexts

    - by sehugg
Consider the following output from a Tomcat server under Eclipse: INFO: Initializing Coyote HTTP/1.1 on http-8080 INFO: Initialization processed in 634 ms INFO: Starting service Catalina INFO: Starting Servlet Engine: Apache Tomcat/6.0.20 SEVERE: Error listenerStart SEVERE: Context [/MyServlet] startup failed due to previous errors I would like to figure out what exception caused "Error listenerStart", but Spring seems to be preventing me from finding the error via Eclipse. I'd love to start Catalina manually, but that doesn't seem to do anything. What's the best way to find the hidden exception? I'm not afraid to use torture methods.

  • QR Codes and Short Links - Please Take A Look [closed]

    - by Joe Turner
I'm looking for a way to create a QR Code and a shortened link when a form is submitted. I have the QR Code bit, but the link is too long for me and the QR Code looks scary and complicated. The way it works is; the user types in (in this instance) a contract number. Then, a folder is created on the server of that contract number. (www.mysite.com/QR/$contractnumber). Then, using PHP again, I create a QR Code through Google because I know that every QR code will be linking to the same place, just a different ending of the link. The only bit that changes is the $POST... I was wondering if there was a way to shorten the link before it goes to Google? It would have to be through php. The user enters the contact number in the form, then that number(usually around 5/6 digits) will be entered into a already existing command? I'm not an expert in anything, I just know some really random snippets of code... And HTML and CSS, of course. Any help would be appreciated and judging by the few days I have been searching this, I think it might help a few people in the future. I would also like to confirm that the solution can't be one of this visual URLShorteners. If it is, it just needs to be the back-end of it, built into a existing form and QR Generator. Simple?

  • 'Buy the app' landing page implementations

    - by benwad
My site (using Django) has an app that I'm trying to push - I currently have a piece of middleware that redirects the user to a page advertising the app if they're accessing the page on the iPhone, then setting a cookie so that the user isn't bugged by the message every time they visit the site. This works fine, however checking the page with the mobile Googlebot checker shows that the Googlebot gets stuck in the redirect (since it doesn't store cookies) and therefore won't index the proper content. So, I'm trying to think of an alternative implementation that won't hurt the site's Google ranking and won't have any other adverse effects. I've considered a couple of options: Redirect (the current solution), but don't redirect if the user agent matches the Googlebot's UA string. This would be ideal, however I'm not sure if Google like their bot being treated differently from other users, and I'm afraid the site's ranking may be somehow penalised if I go ahead with this. Use a Javascript popup instead of a redirect. This would make sure the Googlebot finds the content it needs, however I envision this approach causing compatibility issues with the myriad mobile devices/browsers out there, and may affect the page load time. How valid are these options? And is there a better option for implementing this feature out there? I've tried researching this topic but surprisingly can't find any reputable-looking blog posts that explore this topic. EDIT: I posted this on SF because it seemed unsuitable for SO, but if there's another site that would be better for this issue then I'd be happy to move the question elsewhere.
