• problem with overriding autologin in spring security?

And yes my objects inherit from QObject, I've just stripped the code down to the essential parts above. There's no build errors....

• jQuery 1.4 Dynamically created images aspect ratio incorrect in IE8 and max-width

  After upgrading to jQuery 1.4, when I try to add an image to a page dynamically using jQuery 1.4 in IE8, the image will lose the correct aspect ratio. This appears to affect only IE8 (IE7 and Firefox work fine) with jQuery 1.4 (1.3.2 works fine). • Trying to grab just absolute links from a webpage using BeautifulSoup

  I am reading the contents of a webpage using BeautifulSoup. What I want is to just grab the <a href> that start with http://. I know in beautifulsoup you can search by the attributes. I guess I am just having a syntax issue. I would imagine it would go something like. page = urllib2.urlopen("http://www.linkpages.com") soup = BeautifulSoup(page) for link in soup.findAll('a'): if link['href'].startswith('http://'): print links But that returns: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 2, in <module> File "C:\Python26\lib\BeautifulSoup.py", line 598, in __getitem__ return self._getAttrMap()[key] KeyError: 'href' Any ideas? Thanks in advance. EDIT This isn't for any site in particular. The script gets the url from the user. So internal link targets would be an issue, that's also why I only want the <'a'> from the pages. • When should I use Perl's AUTOLOAD?

  In "Perl Best Practices" the very first line in the section on AUTOLOAD is: Don't use AUTOLOAD However all the cases he describes are dealing with OO or Modules. I have a stand alone script in which some command line switches control which versions of particular functions get defined. Now I know I could just take the conditionals and the evals and stick them naked at the top of my file before everything else, but I find it convenient and cleaner to put them in AUTOLOAD at the end of the file. Is this bad practice / style? If you think so why, and is there a another way to do it? As per brian's request I'm basically using this to do conditional compilation based on command line switches. Since I dont have any user interaction in a nightly batch process, I cannot use the ConnectToFaceBook method on the FaceBookService to obtain a sessionKey for the user. Ideally I would like to prompt for authorization and extended permissions for my desktop app when a user logins into the web front end then save the sessionKey and uid in the database. At night when my process runs, I would reference the sessionKey and uid in order and update the user's status. I am finding myself fumbling between whether or not my app should be a web or desktop app. Having both a web and desktop app would be confusing to my users, because they would have to grant/manage permissions for both apps. And I looking at this the wrong way? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

• not able to close the jquery iframe thickbox when the page is https

  I have jQuery thickbox(TB_iframe=true) which shows an https page in an iframe based overlay. the parent page is http & overlay page is https.if i use self.parent.tb_remove() This does not work and gives me Permission denied for https://www.abc.com to get property Window.tb_remove from http://www.abc.com. Any solution. I want to be able to close the thikbox irrespective to whether its is https or http page that it is displaying in an iframe.

  I've run into a problem trying to return an object that holds a collection of childobjects that again can hold a collection of grandchild objects. I get an error, 'connection forcibly closed by host'. Is there any way to make this work? I currently have a structure resembling this: pseudo code: Person: IEnumerable<Order> Order: IEnumberable<OrderLine> All three objects have the DataContract attribute and all public properties i want exposed (including the IEnumerable's) have the DataMember attribute. I have multiple OperationContract's on my service and all the methods returning a single object OR an IEnumerable of an object works perfectly. It's only when i try to nest IEnumerable that it turns bad. Also in my client service reference i picked the generic list as my collection type. I just want to emphasize, only one of my operations/methods fail with this error - the rest of them work perfectly. EDIT (more detailed error description): [SocketException (0x2746): An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host] [IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.] [WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.] [CommunicationException: An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to http://myservice.mydomain.dk/MyService.svc. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details.] I tried looking for logs but i can't find any... also i'm using a WSHttpBinding and an http endpoint.

• Maven grails plugin issue

From my perspective, it should just try to pull down hibernate w/o inserting the groupId, but maybe i'm not understanding how i'm supposed to run this command?

• Using normalize-string XPath function from SQL XML query ?

  Hi, is it possible to run an SQL query, with an XPath "where" clause, and to trim trailing spaces before the comparison ? I have an SQL XML column, in which I have XML nodes with attributes which contain trailing spaces. I would like to find a given record, which has a specified attribute value - without the trailing spaces. When I try, I get... "There is no function '{http://www.w3.org/2004/07/xpath-functions}:normalize-space()'" I have tried the following (query 1 works, query 2 doesn't). • Garbled text in Screen [closed]

  The graphical Interface in my system is garbled with some text. At the beginning I thought it was due to java and tomcat that I installed. But after removing java and tomcat, it is still the same.   Hey guys, I'm almost finished developing my large project, however I would love it if I could make it so instead of having the users profile pages at: http://mydomain.com/profile/username/USERNAME (i'm currently using .htaccess to rewrite the GET data into forward slashes and profile(.php) being read as just 'profile') But it would be some much better if I could do it so that it's like http://www.mydomain.com/USERNAME (preferred) or http://www.USERNAME.mydomain.com Any ideas or resources?
