  • How can I parse a C header file with Perl?

    Hi, I have a header file in which there is a large struct. I need to read this structure using some program and make some operations on each member of the structure and write them back. For example I have some structure like const BYTE Some_Idx[] = { 4,7,10,15,17,19,24,29, 31,32,35,45,49,51,52,54, 55,58,60,64,65,66,67,69, 70,72,76,77,81,82,83,85, 88,93,94,95,97,99,102,103, 105,106,113,115,122,124,125,126, 129,131,137,139,140,149,151,152, 153,155,158,159,160,163,165,169, 174,175,181,182,183,189,190,193, 197,201,204,206,208,210,211,212, 213,214,215,217,218,219,220,223, 225,228,230,234,236,237,240,241, 242,247,249}; Now, I need to read this and apply some operation on each of the member variable and create a new structure with different order, something like: const BYTE Some_Idx_Mod_mul_2[] = { 8,14,20, ... ... 484,494,498}; Is there any Perl library already available for this?   • Android OnClick in ListView calling parent function

    I have an Android application with a ListView in it, the ListView will setup fine but now I want a image in the ListView to be clickable. I do this by using 2 classes, the Activity class (parent) and an ArrayAdapter to fill the list. In the ArrayAdapter I implement a OnClickListener for the image in the list that I want to be clickable. So far it all works. But now I want to run a function from the activity class when the onClick, for the image in the list, is run but I do not know how. Below are the 2 classes that I use.     I want to have an extension method for XElement/XAttribute that allows me to apply a "ValueOrDefault" logic - perhaps with various slightly different implementations: ValueOrNull, ValueOrDefault, NumericValueOrDefault (which validates if the value is numeric), but I want to constrain these methods so that they can only work with ValueTypes or String (i.e. it does not really make sense to use any other reference types. Is it possible to do this with one implementation of each method, or will I have to have one where the constraint is "Structure" and one where the constraint is "String" - if I combine Structure and String in the generic constraint, I get the error : 'Structure' constraint and a specific class type constraint cannot be combined. The fact that you can customize a structure for in various ways definitely got me interested, particularly with variations of add() & iterator.remove() methods. But is reimplementing and customizing a data structure something that is of more interest to the academics vs the real-world programmers? Has anyone reimplemented their own version of a data structure in a commercial application/program, and why did you pick that route over your particular language's implementation?

  • show/hide html table columns using css

    I want to display a basic html table with controls to toggle showing/hiding of additional columns: <table id="mytable"> <tr> <th>Column 1</th> <th class="col1">1a</th> <th class="col1">1b</th> <th>Column 2</th> <th class="col2">2a</th> <th class="col2">2b</th> </tr> <tr> <td>100</td> <td class="col1">40</td> <td class="col1">60</td> <td>200</td> <td class="col2">110</td> <td class="col2">90</td> </tr> </table> So Column 1 and Column 2 will be the only columns displayed by default - but when you click on the Column 1 I want 1a and 1b to toggle, and same with Column 2 with 2a and 2b. I may end up with more columns and lots of rows - so any javascript looping approaches have been too slow to work with when I tested. The only approach that seems to be fast enough is to set up some css like this: table.hide1 .col1 { display: none; } table.hide2 .col2 { display: none; } table.hide3 .col3 { display: none; } table.show1 .col1 { display: table-cell; } table.show2 .col2 { display: table-cell; } table.show3 .col3 { display: table-cell; } And then set up onClick function calls on the table header cells that will trigger a toggle - and determine which css class to set "mytable" to that will create the toggle effect that I'm looking for. Is there an easy way to set this up so that the code can work for n # of columns?

    I'm new to Python... and coming from a mostly Java background, if that accounts for anything. I'm trying to understand polymorphism in Python. Maybe the problem is that I'm expecting the concepts I already know to project into Python. But I put together the following test code: class animal(object): "empty animal class" class dog(animal): "empty dog class" myDog = dog() print myDog.__class__ is animal print myDog.__class__ is dog From the polymorphism I'm used to (e.g. java's instanceof), I would expect both of these statements to print true, as an instance of dog is an animal and also is a dog. But my output is: False True What am I missing?

Example: Imagine an auto-generated HTML form that displays 2 input-type-text controls for both title and lastmod, and a table of input-type-text controls with three columns and three rows for arr_list ... with the ability to delete or add additional rows by clicking on a [+][X] next to each row in the table. Big Idea: The "big idea" behind this is that the user would be able to specify any arbitrary (non-recursive) JSON structure and then also be able to edit the structure with a GUI-based interaction (this would be similar to the "XML Editor Grid View" in XML Spy).

  • Downloading attachments to directory with IMAP in PHP, randomly works

    I found PHP code online to download attachments to a directory using IMAP from here. http://www.nerdydork.com/download-pop3imap-email-attachments-with-php.html I modified it slightly changing $structure = imap_fetchstructure($mbox, $jk); $parts = ($structure->parts); to $structure = imap_fetchstructure($mbox, $jk); $parts = ($structure); to get it to run properly, as otherwise I got an error about how stdClass doesn't define a property called $parts. Doing that, I was able to download all the attachments. I tested it again recently though, and it didn't work. Well, it didn't work 6 times, worked the 7th, and then hasn't worked since. I'm thinking it has something to do with me screwing up the parts handling, since count($parts) keeps returning 1 for each message, so it's not finding any attachments I think. Since it downloaded the attachments at one point with no issues, I feel confident that the area things are getting screwed up is right here. Before this block of code is a for loop that goes through each message in the box, and after it is loop that just goes through $parts for each imap structure. Thanks for any help you can provide. I looked at the imap_fetchstructure page on php.net and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Edit: I just double-checked the folder after typing up my question and it all popped up. I feel like I'm going nuts. I hadn't run the code since a few minutes before I started typing this, and it doesn't make sense to me that it would take this long to trigger. I have some 800 messages in the mailbox, but I figured since it printed my statement at the very end of the PHP that all of the file creation work was done.

I want any calls like: new A($$$any string$$$).check() returns a dummy string "test". I tried: A a = mock(A.class); when(a.check()).thenReturn("test"); String test = a.check(); // to this point, everything works. test shows as "tests" whenNew(A.class).withArguments(Matchers.anyString()).thenReturn(rk); // also tried: //whenNew(A.class).withParameterTypes(String.class).withArguments(Matchers.anyString()).thenReturn(rk); new A("random string").check(); // this doesn't work But it doesn't seem to be working. new A($$$any string$$$).check() is still going through the constructor logic instead of fetch the mocked object of A.

    I have set up my mapping file and classes as suggested by many articles class A { ... IList BBag {get;set;} ... } class B { ... A aObject {get;set;} ... } <class name="A">...<bag name="BBag" table="B" inverse="true" lazy="false"><key column="A_ID" /><one-to-many class="B" /></bag>... <class name="B">...<many-to-one name="aObject" class="A" column="A_ID" />... I added a set of A's to the A table and a set of B's to the B table, all the data is stored as expected. However if I try and access aInstance.BBag.Count I get a null reference exception. I think I missing some key knowledge on how an bag gets instantiated. Thanks

    Basically, I want to be able to assign objects created within filters to members in a base controller from which every controller extends. Any possible way to do that? Here's how I tried, but haven't got to make it work. What I'm trying to achieve is to have all my controllers extend a base controller. The base controller's constructor would be used to assign values to its members, those values being pulled from the session map. Example below. A Section can belong to only 1 Class but can have many Students. A Student (aspnet_Users) can belong to many Sections. I've setup the corresponding Model classes and Fluent NHibernate Mapping classes, all that is working fine. Here's where I'm getting stuck. I need to write a query which will return the sections a student is enrolled in based on the student's UserId and the dates of the class. Here's what I've tried so far: 1. var sections = (from s in this.Session.Linq<Sections>() where s.Class.StartDate <= DateTime.UtcNow && s.Class.EndDate > DateTime.UtcNow && s.Students.First(f => f.UserId == userId) != null select s); 2. var sections = (from s in this.Session.Linq<Sections>() where s.Class.StartDate <= DateTime.UtcNow && s.Class.EndDate > DateTime.UtcNow && s.Students.Where(w => w.UserId == userId).FirstOrDefault().Id == userId select s); Obviously, 2 above will fail miserably if there are no students matching userId for classes the current date between it's start and end dates...but I just wanted to try. The filters for the Class StartDate and EndDate work fine, but the many-to-many relation with Students is proving to be difficult. Everytime I try running the query I get an ArgumentNullException with the message: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: session I've considered going down the path of making the SectionStudents relation a Model class with a reference to Section and a reference to Student instead of a many-to-many. I'd like to avoid that if I can, and I'm not even sure it would work that way. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Ryan

I'd like to use LINQ to create a new List where instead of having the number of buys and sells, I would have one variable containing the sum. For example, if the FillStruct structure has buy = 4 and sell = 2 then the NewFillStruct structure will have numlong = 2. If the FillStruct structure has buy = 2 and sell = 4 then the NewFillStruct structure will have numlong = -2.     Hello, I have some JSON of which the following is a small sample: results": { "div": [ { "class": "sylEntry", "id": "sylOne", "div": [ { "class": "sT", "id": "sOT", "p": "Mon 11/17, Computer work time" }, { "class": "des", "id": "dOne", "p": "All classes Siebel 0218" } ] }, I would like to only retrieve the "p" content for the div element with class "sT". I would like to use a loop and doing something like this: var arrayOfResults = $.results..div.p does not work because I only want to retrieve the p value for the div element with class "sT". So how do I construct my JSONpath so that it will retrive the array of p elements that are contained within the divs class "sT". Thanks!!

  • Location of my own directories

    Hello, I am trying to understand how to create my own directory tree and access it from my application. I am doing some kind of learning program and want to create a directory structure like this: -MyLessonsDirectory --LessonDirectory_1 ---Step_1 ---Step_2 ---Step_3 --LessonDirectory_2 ---Step_1 ---Step_2 ---Step_3 . . and so on In each "Step"-directory I will have specific content for that step of the lesson. The content is added by me while developing. Hence, I don't want to create the structure and content from within the application, just access it and reading the content of the directories. If I can create this kind of structure and use it it will be very easy to create a nice design that makes it easy to create new lessons in my app. What I cannot figure out is where I should create those directories in the file-structure in xCode and what is the path to those directories from my application. Basically, I want to change the href of Technology and Design to be "#" but will not change the href of Web Design which is already on second-level list. More Info: In the code above, if list has subcategories, then it has the class has_child, whether it's on first-level or not. So I want only the first-level list which has class has_child to be modified the href to "#" I can't alter output anymore because it's in the PHP code. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • The "correct" way to define an exception in Python without PyLint complaining

    I'm trying to define my own (very simple) exception class in Python 2.6, but no matter how I do it I get some warning. First, the simplest way: class MyException(Exception): pass This works, but prints out a warning at runtime: DeprecationWarning: BaseException.message has been deprecated as of Python 2.6 OK, so that's not the way. I then tried: class MyException(Exception): def __init__(self, message): self.message = message This also works, but PyLint reports a warning: W0231: MyException.__init__: __init__ method from base class 'Exception' is not called. So I tried calling it: class MyException(Exception): def __init__(self, message): super(Exception, self).__init__(message) self.message = message This works, too! But now PyLint reports an error: E1003: MyException.__init__: Bad first argument 'Exception' given to super class How the hell do I do such a simple thing without any warnings?
