I want to know how can we open a file dialog from withing a class module in vb6. I know how to do in forms, but I have to open it from within a class module.
Is there an easy way to apply CSS/icons to the modal buttons on a jQuery UI modal dialog box?
If I include the HTML to display an icon with the button text, it shows the HTML as text rather than rendering the code.
I'm guessing I could write some jQuery to find the button and overwrite the HTML with what I want, but I'm hoping there's an easier more direct way.
In Qt 4, by default, tabbing through a dialog changes the default button to be the button tabbed to. This makes tabbing look a bit ugly and distracting as extra redraws take place during tab navigation which distract from point of user focus.
Is there a way to disable this Qt functionality and leave the default button unmodified by tab navigation?
Hi
I'm developing a google chrome extension.
I am trying to use the jquery-ui datepicker inside a jquery-ui dialog of the existing webpage (content level)
Like so: Screenshot
I get "DP_jQuery_1274168529407 is not defined" when I click on any button of the datepicker widget and I have no idea why
Please help :)
I have a dialog. Every time I create it and then dispose, it stays in memory.
It seems to be a memory leak somewhere, but I can't figure it out.
Do you have any ideas? See the screenshot of heap dump for more information.
Thanks in advance.

I have a custom Dialog that contains only a TextView to display some text in my application. The documentation lists that only the b, i, u, tt, big, small, sup, sub, and strike tags are supported. I really need to add some newlines for readability. Do I need to change to a more complicated layout, or is there some way to encode newlines in the resource? I tried adding br tags, but that did not help.
When creating a control (e.g. an edit control) on the fly using CreateWindow, it usually starts out with an ugly (boldish sans serif) font.
Usually I wok around that by grabbing the parent dialog's font, and setting it to the control - I can't even say if this is a good idea.
How do I "legally" fetch the right font?
I am using an ASP.Net MVC site that has a link to an ASP.Net WebForms page that performs the actual download. I would like my jquery ui dialog to close when the download starts. Is there a javascript/jquery event that I can use to accomplish this?
I found an example with exactly what I want to do here, but since I'm using MVC instead of WebForms I can't seem to get it to work.
I know that there has been a similar question asked here very recently, but I was wondering if it was possible to tab between buttons on default OSX dialog boxes?
I already have the "All Controls" option enabled in System Preferences-Keyboard and mouse-keyboard shortcuts, but no joy.
Thanks
i have a web browser made in python with menu.
in one menu i have cut copy paste but no functionality and i need to make them work. i need an example of class oncopy.(event menu)

Which do you think are best practices for making a windows dialog compatible both with standard fonts (96 dpi) and "large fonts" setting (120 dpi) so that objects don't overlap or get cut off?
BTW: Just in case it's relevant, I'm interested in doing this for Delphi dialogs.
Thanks in advance!
Is there a color picker dialog for Qt like the following?
Also it needs to have a OnColorChanged signal which is called when ever the selected color changes. I want to give a live preview when they are changing the colors, that is why.
Using google I could only find this one that was a triangle in side of a circle and personally I think it looks ugly.
I'm expanding Wordpress to function more like a CMS. This includes relating image to a post.
Currently I have a text field where I paste an image path.
Now I want to click a button which opens a dialog box, then I navigate to the right folder and select a file to "open" (from server side).
The file path is returned.
How can I go about accomplishing this?
I know that this question is quite common, but its specifics are stumping me.
I have an "export" button which I want to take a load of data generated, create a CSV file, then pop up a Save File As dialog box, to save that file on their local machine.
The name of this file is dynamic, also.
I know how to make the CSV file, but how do I then pop up a box on the client side to let the user download it?
I am using JSP with Struts
I am using a FBStreamDialog to publish to a users wall in my iphone app i am creating. How can i publish the value of a variable into dialog.attachment?
eg. i want a name to appear in the description section
I have used Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo.dll and Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo.dll in a number of VS2008 projects but they don't appear in the VS2010 Add Reference dialog. Why did they disappear and how can I add them to my VS2010 project?
I am making a new file dialog and it seems that the NSSavePanel is the right tool for the job but I cannot find a way to add a text field to input the name you want to save it as. Is this functionality not built into the NSSavePanel? Do I need to make my own text field and add it as an accessoryfield?
I have a form and from this I call
dialogPrintDiet.ShowDialog()
which launchs my dialog. I need to pass a string value and need the easiest way to do this in VB.NET
Thnaks
I already this something
Here is the original code:
<script type='text/javascript'>
function delete_user( id ){
var answer = confirm('Are you sure?');
//if user clicked ok
if ( answer ){
//redirect to url with action as delete and id to the record to be deleted
window.location = 'delete.php?id=' + id;
}
}
</script>
How do I remove the old javascript confirm dialog box and replace it with bootstrap?
I was always using the direct Add to Page Tab URL like this:
http://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=238557109577754&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com
And today that URL gives me "Sorry, something went wrong.". Did something changed on Facebook side? Or is it a temporary bug?
Note that I have tried other redirect_uri params, such as the URL of the location where the app is hosted. It does always result in the same error.
Hi there,
Is it possible to hide .svn files in the Open Resource dialog (Ctrl + Shift + R) of Eclipse?
It's very annoying when you have hundreds of files...
Cheers.
I am writed an automated test in Selenium IDE to test one of our applications. Our app throws one of those confirmation dialogs "Are you sure you want to continue."
Click OK or Cancel
Selenium does not support the clicking of these dialog boxes. I have
tried the following SeleniumIDE functions with no success:
chooseOkOnNextConfirmation
chooseOkOnNextConfirmationAndWait
Is there a javascript funtion I can call within SeleniumIDE to do
this, or am I out of luck.
What would be the easiest way for creating a dialog:
- in one window I'm giving data for envelope addressing, also set font type from list of sizes
- when clicked OK, in the same window or in next window I get preview of how the envelope would look like with the given names, and used selected font size
It should look similarly to this :
Should I use Jdialog ? Or will JOptionPane will be enough ? The next step will be to choose color of font and background so I must keep that in mind.
